Ash's eyes narrowed when he heard that.

"Tell you what." he said.

"You walk away now. And don't speak of this again." he told them.

"In response, I don't consider you a threat." he went on.

"How about that?" he asked.

"You value your life more than your intel?" he asked further, before whirling around to face them, and prepare for any sort of attack.

"..........yep." Ash replied.

"I should bring Casey here." he said.

"She would LOVE these things." he commented.

"Anyway, let us eat." he told Desiree.

"Thanks for meeting me like this." he said to her.

"And listening to what I had to say."

"Well, good to know it's all above board." Ash replied.

He then looked, and saw a pair of the critters approach them with their food. Once they got it on the table, Ash took out the crackers that Desiree had given him.

"Hm." he muttered.

"Well, here goes." he said.

"Here y'go." he told the creatures, offering them each a cracker.

"Hm?" Ash muttered.

"Crackers?" he asked.

"Huh. I see." he said further.

"And I figured no monetary tips were a thing." he went on.

"So how do they do this?" he asked.

"Is this a choice on their behalf? Or servitude? Or what?" he asked further.

"I've never seen creatures that are both so willing and capable of helping and serving people." he commented.
Posted in Luck of The Fae Posted 7 years ago
"Heh, that's true." Ash agreed.

"So... what is the deal with these creatures, and etiquette?" he asked.

"I'm used to tipping for good service, after all." he said.

"But... how do I do that here?" he asked her.

"Do I reward them in some other way?" he asked further.

"I don't want to appear rude or ungrateful, or slight them in any way."

Ash's eyes widened a bit when Desiree mentioned that Ashley was pregnant.

"...you're right." he said.

"Yes. She IS pregnant." he confirmed.

"Hmmm..." he mumbled.

"I have some ideas now." he told her.

"Thank you." he said further.

"You're always a unique perspective, Desiree."

Ash seemed to be floored when she asked that.

"A... legacy?" he asked.

"....I never considered that." he admitted.

"I guess... yeah, I mean, I have my record and standing at the guild, but that's not forever." he said.

"And my cooking is a hobby really. While I've come up with new recipes, and improvements on old ones, I've never done anything groundbreaking." he went on.

"..." he was then silent again, seeming to be thinking pretty hard.

"This IS food for thought..." he admitted to her.

Ash watched the creature depart, before looking back at Desiree.

"Well..." he muttered, before sighing.

He then explained to her all that had happened. The hunt, the fae, what she was, the power she had, and what her kind were like.

"So I'm stuck with her until I make a wish." he said.

"But I don't know what to wish for." he admitted.

"And I know that changing things in the past can drastically alter the future in major unintended ways." he continued.

"So I need to make a decision... but I don't think I want to just waste this opportunity." he told her further.

"Know what I mean?" he asked.
Posted in Luck of The Fae Posted 7 years ago
"I... I can understand that." Ash responded.

"You're such a wonderful person." he told her.

He then sighed, and looked around.

"I ask, because... well... I suddenly find myself with that power right now." he admitted.

"Er... well, I have access to that power, to be more specific." he clarified.

"I'll tell you after we have our order taken." he then said, noticing one of the creatures coming towards them.
Posted in Luck of The Fae Posted 7 years ago
Ash blinked a couple of times when she said that.

"...really?" he asked.

"Even after your... history?" he asked her.

When she nodded, he just smiled again.

"Desiree, you're too pure for this world." he told her.
Posted in Luck of The Fae Posted 7 years ago
"Glad to hear things are well." Ash responded.

"The cooking's as well as ever, and the hunts are still exciting." he told her.

"Which... actually brings me to my question nicely." he then said.

"Now... here's the hypothetical." he went on.

"If you could have a wish. One wish. ANY wish. At all. No strings attached. Would you take it?" he asked her.

"And if so, what would it be?"
Posted in Luck of The Fae Posted 7 years ago
"Very much so." Ash responded as he sat down across from her.

"I need to remember this place." he said.

"Casey would love it here." he chuckled.

"So how are you doing?" he asked.

"How have the tours been and such?"
Posted in Luck of The Fae Posted 7 years ago
Ash raised an eyebrow as he noticed the creatures when he followed Desiree.

".....huh." he said.

"I.... huh." he muttered.

"These look... sort of familiar." he commented.

"But I can't place them." he said.

"If I've encountered them before, I can't recall them."

Was was silent for a moment, before whistling quietly.

"Wow." he said.

"Damn, this IS a nice place." he commented.

"Looks like it blends all parts of the atmospheric spectrum." he said further.

"A very hard thing to do." he continued.

"So do we seat ourselves, or does someone seat us?" he asked her.
