"....uh-huh." the figure responded.
"Strange last words." he said to her.
"But whatever." he muttered.
"The time is nigh, and we will succeed in what we have been trying to accomplish for decades!" he declared.
"...wait... no..." Al started to whisper.
"Silence." the figure told him. "You have no right to speak on this matter." they added.
"You don't... the rune... you can't do it... right..." Al sputtered, before the figure just kicked him hard in the head.

"........" the figure was silent.
"What?" he asked.
"....what??" he asked further.
"What kind of a statement is THAT?" he asked her.
"He won't be for LONG." he added snarkily.

Again, the figure just laughed.
"Ahhh, such bold words." he said.
"But allow me to educate you on something." he told her.
"He wears a disguise to fit in amongst humans." he went on, gesturing to Al.
"He does not fit in amongst them, though. But he refuses to accept his destiny to help his Lord and Master... so we were helping him accept it earlier." he continued.
"After all... what better energy to help summon a denizen of hell... than that of a denizen from hell!?" he then exclaimed.

"....eh?" the figure muttered.
"You don't...?" he started to ask, before his lips curled into a smile.
"Heh..." he chuckled.
"Eh-heh. Heh, heh... eh-heh-heh-heh... HA-HA... AH-HAHAHAHAHAHA!!" he chuckled further, before it turned into an outright laugh.
"Of course it'd hide it!" he said further.
"Such is the nature of them!" he exclaimed.
"You stupid fool. You don't even know what you're palling around with!" he said to her, seeming to take immense delight in this.

"............." again, the figure was silent.
"If you're trying to confuse me, it won't work." he told her.
"No matter what you just did to me, the ritual will still happen!" he said.
"My colleagues at the rune will make sure of it." he told her further.
"Now step away from the hell-spawn." he ordered her.

"No!" the figure responded.
"You will not jeopardize the ritual!" he declared.
"This world is impure! It shall be cleansed!" he went on.
"Mankind is filthy... self-destructive... and they will cause their own demise if left alone." he told her.
"So we will hasten the destiny of destruction, and save what little we can before humans bleed this place dry!"

The figure scrambled to their feet, and grasped at their neck.
"The hell..." they muttered.
"You are goddamned crazy!" they exclaimed.
"The hell is wrong with you!?" they shouted at her.
They then pulled out a pistol from under their cloak, and aimed it at her.
"Stay back, whatever you are!"

"Urk!" the figure choked, as their throat was grabbed.
"Get... get..." they sputtered, grabbing her wrist.
"Get... off...!" they managed to get out.
They then brought their knee up, and slammed it into her stomach repeatedly to try and get her off.

"AH!" the figure yelled out, as she lunged for them.
They grabbed her wrists, but she was much stronger than expected, and ended up knocking them down onto the ground, on their back, with her on top of them.
"What in the...!?" they exclaimed, as they struggled to keep her back.
And were slowly failing.
"What ARE you!?" they demanded, fear in their tone.

"....." the figure was silent for a moment.
"Hm." they muttered, leaning in some.
"I see...." they said sceptically.
"And I do not know." they admitted.
"A non-mortal? Such a thing has never happened, to our knowledge." they told her.
"I would imagine nothing much would happen to them."

".....huh?" the figure asked.
"What kind of question is THAT?" they asked her.
"Of course it-" they said, before pausing.
"Well, mortals." they told her.
"Humans, specifically? Eh... preferable, but anything that can and will die of old age works."

The figure then made their way over towards Aedan.
"And you." they said.
"Really. What did you hope to accomplish?" they asked.
"These are matters far beyond your comprehension." they went on.
"Stupid girl." they then spat.

The cloaked figure just kicked Al in the ribs.
Hard.
"Filthy creature." they said.
"One would think you would have appreciated, or at least, understood, our work." they went on.
"But no. You are as hopeless as the rest of the pitiful humans." they continued.
"And when he rises up... you will face the same judgement."

"....damn." Al muttered.
"I should have guessed." he said.
"I... won't... let you... summon him..." he told the figure.
"You know... not... what you... are doing..." he went on, trying his best to not lose consciousness.
"His... his power... his presence..." he said further.
"You... can... not... han..." he went on, before finally collapsing completely.
