"You do that, then." Hal said, as the two of them walked over towards Liv and Lunet.

"Hi, girls." he greeted them with a smile.

"Just came to see how you both were doing." he told them.

"What do you think?" he asked.

"Like this new area?" he asked further.

"I can agree with that." Hal responded.

"They can interact with each other, and the other children here." he continued.

"And I believe I've found some good people to work here as well." he then told her.

"Overall, this should shape up to be a very good resource to utilise." he commented, pausing again.

"And my apologies it's taken THIS long..."

Hal shook his head.

"If Ty didn't have his heart set on it, I'd say you can adopt her if you felt you could handle it." he said.

"But if he fails this, then perhaps you can. If I don't snag her." he then laughed.

"But still. It's good she has a friend close to her own age now." he went on.

"Hell, odds are she and her will spend a decent amount of time together here in daycare." he reasoned. "I'm willing to bet you'll be utilising this service a bit going forward." he continued.

"Not have to rely on your sitter constantly."

"That makes sense." Hal responded.

"Most fae are generally a bit on the skittish side, and don't like revealing themselves to anyone." he said.

"But I was just curious." he then told her.

"I'm just happy that Lunet and Liv and getting along." he admitted.

"It's nice to see Lunet opening up to someone."

"Yeah, Liv can be a real troublemaker." Hal agreed.

He then paused and thought about something.

"What about the fae that live outside your home?" he asked.

"I never asked about it, but have they revealed themselves to Lunet yet?" he asked her.

"And if so, how'd that go?"

Hal just smirked.

"Fair point." he responded.

"And I'd have no issues taking the girls if you ever need a break, or if Ty ends up needing one, or whatever." he said. "Heck, if your sitter ever cancels suddenly, I'll step in for them and help." he offered.

"And good! Good to hear on Ty!" he started... pausing again and laughing.

"I remember the days of Zeke constantly being sent to your wing." he recalled. "Man... the things he would do to see you. Except actually ADMIT he wanted to see you."

"Fair enough." Hal responded.

"Good to let them know what's going on, wholly." he reasoned. "But it really seems like the two have hit it off rather famously." he commented, crossing his arms over his chest.

"..." he was then silent, thinking about something.

"...I admit, if the Council deems Ty not fit, or if he screws this up, I'M making a move to take Lunet in." he whispered to Angela.

"Yes, I'D be a single parent as well, but... I would be able to provide quite nicely for her, I like to think."

"Well, nobody said it would be easy." Hal mumbled.

"But I admit, from all I've seen and heard, he seems to be doing quite well, supplemented by this new information you've given me." he commented further.

"..." he was then silent, looking over towards Lunet and Liv.

'And those two seem to be getting along wonderfully." he commented.

"I had a feeling a friend her own age would really help Lunet."

Hal looked over towards her and smiled.

"Yep, it IS looking good." he agreed. "Amazing what one can get done when one finally puts their foot down." he commented further, chuckling slightly, and then shaking his head.

"I'm going through applications for the daycare as well." he then said. "Hopefully it'll be fully staffed in the next couple of weeks." he assured her.

"Anyway, how's Ty been doing?" he asked.

"Haven't really talked to you or him in a few weeks."

Very possible. she received in response.

But they're crippled now. You SHOULD get a bit of a rest now. he told her.

I'm glad that worked out so well. he then finished.

Regardless, I should get back to my duties here. Love you. he added at the end.

On the other end of the line, Hal just sighed and leaned back in his chair.

"...now. I need to get this daycare made, make sure Angela's not overwhelmed, and see if Ty can really do this."

Quite late. she received.

Getting that ball rolling took a bit of time, and I'm helping to make sure Ty stays on the straight and narrow. he then told her.

But I can go without sleep every so often. This is nothing. he assured her further.

I'm just glad you've gotten TWO thorns out of your side now.

She was waiting for a response for close to a minute, before it chimed.

Found almost-conclusive proof. the response read.

And then let a rumour slip in the gossip line that Gerald knew about Justin's involvement. I knew it would go from there. the next one said.

Didn't find anything on Edward or Victor, though. the following admitted.

"Good." Gerald responded.

He then took a small breath, composed himself, and looked around.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do here." he told her, before excusing himself and making his way deeper into the Council.

At least Hollie wouldn't need to worry about the Triad breathing down her neck over this. Sydney was a very understanding individual, and Gerald didn't seem to be out for blood. Those two things would mean that the repercussions could be dealt with properly and legally, with less unrealistic demands from the Triad.

She would need to find replacement for Edward and Justin, which would be a pain, but she knew the gobs of paperwork would slow down some.

Gerald shook his head.

"Sometimes it takes explosive action to move things forward." he told her.

"But I want the FULL weight of the justice system brought down on Justin." he said.

"I DEMAND that he be made to pay for his crimes against the Triad, and those that fall under it." he continued.

"...because we don't need a racist like himself in such a high position here."
