Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"I don't know!" Ty responded.

"It just happened." he said.

Leo was silent and looked at the phone.

"...wait, isn't that model out of production?" he asked. "Did you get it when it was new?" he asked him further.

"No, waited until it was an iteration or two behind, got a good deal." Ty responded.

"...that phone is close to 25 years old then. No wonder it just decided to give up the ghost one day." Leo then reasoned.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Ty accepted the phone and sighed.

"Well, that's better than I'd hoped." he said.

"At least I can get the numbers and photos and such off of it." he went on.

"Sorry, old friend." he then said to his phone.

"Guess you've outlived your usefulness too soon." he mumbled... even though he'd been using that same phone for close to 20 years.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Ty sighed heavily.

"We've had our challenges." he said.

"You have, I have, together we have..." he listed off.

"But we're making it work." he continued.

"Enough that you aren't going to be taken." he chuckled.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Ty was silent for a moment, and just sighed.

"Well, it was a combination of your specific needs, and MY schedule." he told her.

"Thankfully, the daycare at the Unit has an education program for younger children, and it gave you the socialisation skills you needed." he said. "However, the older you got, the more it became apparent that you would need a tutor. You were outgrowing the education there, and I have NO idea how going to a public or private school would go. Both for yourself, and for my schedule." he continued.

"So you hired a private tutor for the learning, and she interacts with the people she's been growing up alongside with in the Unit daycare." Leo summarised.

"Olivia in specific stands out from the rest." Ty stated.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Ty shook his head.

"All the same, you know this place so well." he said.

"At some point, I'll need to realise it's safe to leave you home alone, and that you can take care of yourself." he told her.

"...at some point." he reiterated.

"Anyway, any plans for the night?" he asked her.

"Or anything on the docket for tomorrow?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Just a long day." Ty responded.

"Lotta running around and such. Kinda stressful, but it's all good." he assured her.

"I think I'll just have a few slices, some of the breadsticks, and take my soda up to my bathroom and have a soak." he told her further.

"We'll see how tired I am after that." he added.

"Thanks for looking after her, Leo." he then thanked Leo. "I know she can take care of herself, but... well... I worry." he admitted.

"No problem." Leo assured him.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Awesome." Ty responded.

He then sat down in one of the chairs and let out a heavy breath.

"Tired?" Leo asked.

"Very." Ty said.

"Probably going to hit the sack earlier than usual." he went on.

"There anything you think you want or need from me before then, Lunet?" he asked Lunet.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Ty just looked at Leo.

"...you seriously doubted her?" he asked.

"It seemed impossible!" Leo protested.

Ty was silent for another moment, before laughing out loud.

"Nice hustle, Lunet." he told Lunet.

"That's my girl."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

"All the meats." Leo chuckled.

"I'm feeling a little carnivore-y." he told her, as Ty stepped into the room.

And paused.

"...Lunet..." he said.

"I see an already empty pizza box." he commented.

"Did you wolf down an entire pizza ALREADY?"

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"...seems a shame you force yourself to go hungry, even if a little." Leo mumbled.

He then watched as she grabbed the second one that was on top, and he looked at one of the ones that was left.

"Huh. Nice." he said.

That was when they heard the door open.

"I'M HOME!" Ty called in.

"WHERE Y'AT!?" he asked.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"I do." Leo said, taking out his phone.

"I'll DD it to your account." he told her.

"And 7 minutes. Geez." he went on.

"AND you still have a whole pizza JUST for you." he then said. "If I were to wager a guess, the other two are ones you and Ty can share." he reasoned, as he started to get the transaction ready.

"And I'm also guessing one of the sodas is yours entirely, as well as both breadsticks." he continued.

"Not sure about the dessert cookie."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Your time is... 4 minutes, 54 seconds." was the response she got.

And Leo's mouth was almost agape.

"Holy... hell." he said.

"Did... did you TASTE any of that?" he asked her.

"Every bit." she responded confidently.

"...well, crap." Leo muttered. "You want it physically or transferred digitally?" he asked.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

The sudden shift in her attitude and speech almost gave Leo whiplash.

...but he had to admit, he WAS intrigued.

"All right..." he said.

"$200 says you can't finish one of those pizzas in 5 minutes." he told her.

"If Ty harps on you, I'll take the fall." he went on.

"I AM enabling this, after all."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Leo paused as she responded so... shortly.

"Uh..." he stammered.

"Right..." he mumbled.

"I mean... you can... prove me otherwise if you can..." he told her.

He was starting to think that maybe he should go, it seemed he'd possibly said the wrong thing.

"Ty should be home shortly!" he quickly said, changing the subject.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
