Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Then I'd say we have all but definitive proof you have passive mana." Leo said.

He then paused and thought about it.

"Hm." he muttered.

"I still don't want to get ahead of myself, though." he continued.

"Should still get tested at the Unit." he told her.

"Just to absolutely prove it." he said further.

"And then I'll tell you the idea I have bubbling in my head."

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Yeah, it's meant to be a little softer, for easier gliding and such, finger-wise." Leo said.

"But... no, I... your mana must have reacted to the mana I put in that tech." he went on.

"I put... so very little in there, it was barely supposed to trigger the sensation. Electricity and nerves and such." he reasoned.

"The fact that you had such a reaction shows that you HAVE to have strong mana." he told her.

"There's no other explanation." he said.

"...unless I REALLY messed up the mana amounts in there."

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"I... I see." Leo said.

"And weird, huh?" he asked.

"Just... keep using it for a bit and then let me know later." he told her.

"But... I don't think we need to test you." he then said.

"I think this was proof enough." he went on.

"I think you actually do have passive mana. Pretty potent, too."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

"..." Leo was silent for a moment.

"...shocked?" he asked. "Legit shocked?" he asked her.

"Yes. Legit shocked." Lunet confirmed.

"That... shouldn't have happened." Leo said.

"That should have been FAR too weak to give a legitimate shock." he reasoned.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Leo chuckled.

"I suppose so." he said.

"And I know that voice commands are a thing, and they work very well." he told her. "Hell, THIS one has voice commands as well, and they should work just fine." he continued.

"But sometimes voice isn't an option." he said further.

"So this is meant to be a backup, just in case." he reasoned.

"That and, to see if I could manage it."

great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

"If it works." Leo responded, as she felt around, easily finding the button. She felt it, with the word 'power' written in braille beside it.

"It might not." he said.

"And even if it does, I think the technology MAY be ahead of its time." he went on. "Sadly, if the existence mages was to be known widely, then odds are the world would end." he lamented.

"And I'm not even exaggerating." he muttered.

"But, still, if it works, I can use the tech to possibly help my friends and such." he reasoned.

"For now, it's experimentation for the sake of experimentation."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Leo just smirked to himself.

"Well, more specifically, it's the screen." he told her.

"I mean, I want to see if the tablet is comfortable for you, again, with the braille and such." he said. "Basic things." he told her.

"However, the screen is experimental, in the sense that it's meant to give haptic feedback. As in, it uses mana to react to others' mana, and they can 'feel' the icons on the screen." he continued.

"EVERYONE has mana inside them." he went on. "Even non-mages. And the screen is supposed to be able to react to that." he told her.

"...now, odds are something like this would probably out mages, in the sense of how this could exist, or who it'd be for, but... well, I want to see if it works. Just to see if I succeeded in it or not."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"I'd say you're exercising IMMENSE patience with these vultures." Leo replied.

"No, I am going to have the ones 'working' with you drowning in legal threats." he snarled.

"...or at the very least, they're not going to be sleeping soundly for a while." he then hissed quietly, before clearing his throat.

"Anyway." he said.

"Last this is a tablet meant for those that are blind." he told her.

"Like an iPad." he clarified.

"Care to test THAT out for a couple of months as well?" he asked.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Dr. Edwards should be able to do that." Leo replied.

"They can do blood tests and such to find it out." he told her.

"And it doesn't take long at all. Odds are if it's not too busy tomorrow, you could do in there and ask her to do it." he went on.

"...in the meantime, I need to see this... this... monstrosity of a contract... is dealt with." he then said.

"Because this is just... leaving a bad taste in my mouth."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Hey, no worries." Leo replied.

"I'll see what's up later today." he said.

"But... anyway, where were we...?" he then wondered aloud.

"Oh! Mana!" he recalled, snapping his fingers.

"See... I'm pretty sure you have passive mana." he told her.

"And... well... if you do, then I have an idea for something that MAY help you a lot in life." he went on. "But I don't want to say anything until after we know about your mana situation."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Hmmm..." Leo mumbled.

"Two or three a month..." he said.

"I'll look into it." he told her.

"For all I know, this could either be a case of you should only be getting 1 a month or so, or even NONE, or it's a case where the one charged with your dreams is cutting the number down considerably." he continued.

"But I'll see what's going on."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Leo paused for a moment.

"Wait, what?" he asked.

"Night terrors? STILL?" he asked her.

He then narrowed his eyes and stared off into the distance.

"...how often?" he asked.

"Because we can sort of affect the content. I mean, depending on how often you experience them, the one in charge of your dreams might be dropping the ball a little." he told her further.

"So yeah, how often to they occur, on average?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"...." Leo was silent again, before sighing.

"Partial info is more dangerous than full info." he said.

"I might get in shit for this, but whatever." he sighed.

"The sandman is real." he told her.

"Kind of. The sandman is actually a bunch of sandmen and sandwomen, organised together to help the world sleep soundly and preserve the sanctity of the dream world." he truncated.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"I did." Leo responded.

"If it weren't for the Order, then-" he started to say further, before he stopped.

Stunned and frozen for a moment, he stayed for a moment, looking at her.

"Ah..." he stammered.

"How... wait... the... the Order?" he asked.

"How do you KNOW that?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
