"I did say that." Hal responded.
"But remember, the structural composition of those crystals is.... unstable." he reminded her.
"I know exactly where they are, and I will gather them when the time comes." he went on. "If they are removed too early, they WILL start to degenerate and turn to essentially glass dust. And quickly." he continued.
"So yes. I have them. Just not right HERE." he summarised.
"And I'll get them here when we're ready to perform the ritual."

"Of the 7 on the list you gave me, I have managed to procure 5 of them." he told her.
"The Howling Bell will be ready to be harvested at midnight tonight, and I know where to get it." he continued. "And the Glycerin Marigolds are currently being tended to by Vincent Remmington, Racquel Fyrane, and the draydins they know." he went on.
"I expect them to have successfully harvested enough by noon tomorrow." he informed her further.
"So it's almost done." he said.
"Only a matter of time, and timing, now."

"Hm." Hal mumbled.
"That's true." he said.
"I DO keep it quite private. Mortal nature turns VERY dark when in the presence of a wish-granting entity." he said darkly.
"...usually. Since I started this place, I've been learning more and more how untrue that can be, come to think of it." he admitted.
"Anyway, let's get to my office and I'll get the coin." he muttered.
"The sooner we get your partner back, the better." he reasoned.
"On that note, thanks to some connections, his body will be brought here later this afternoon." he then informed her.

"Very well." Hal responded.
"Let us return to my office." he told her.
"I'll enchant a large coin so you can use it to teleport." he informed her further, as he walked to the door.
"You'll be able to use it to get there, and back, obviously." he went on.
"..." he then paused and thought for a moment.
"Or you can make a wish for you to be there, with a lingering wish of returning once you get the 3 mice."

Hal nodded in response.
"All right." he said.
"Do you have anything you need to gather or prepare before you go?" he asked.
"And would you rather go it alone, or have someone with?" he asked further.
"Because once those are figured out, I will send you ASAP." he continued.

Hal shook his head.
"I'll give you something to teleport you there." he told her.
"Or have someone go with you." he said further.
"I'd say you can wish for 3 specimens to be brought here, but... I know that can cause massive fires when spooked." he mumbled.
"But if nothing else, I can arrange for direct teleporting there and back."

Hal nodded in response.
"Yeah, I know the place he's referring to." he told her. "Vacationed there a few times in the past. I'd say I'm a thrill seeker, but... lava and that won't do shit to me." he shrugged.
"Anyway, I can write down all the pertinent information if you like." he continued.
"And do you need special travel arrangements?" he asked.
"...which is to say, can you get there instantly on your own, or do you require assistance?"

"Ah, right." Ty responded, getting up and finishing his coffee, and then looking at the bottle of whisky.
"And that?" he asked.
"Take it." Mackenzie replied. "Consider it payment for this information." she smirked.
"Gladly." Ty said. "Anyway, I'm off to the medical wing." he told them, before saying goodbye and heading out.
"Medical wing?" Hal asked.
"Ah, you discussed the blood with him?" he asked Mackenzie.

Ty nodded.
"Yeah, came with the territory of knowing of their existence." he told her.
"Anyway, they live in Hawaii." he said. "Seems they're most plentiful at the base of Hualalai." he continued. "They're almost completely subterranean now, hence why nobody's seen or heard of them." he continued.
"But yeah, Hualalai is your best bet." he confirmed.
"And that's all the info I got."

"Well, you have your right to privacy." he told her, stepping inside.
"Now. What is it, Ty?" he asked his friend.
"Ah, yes." Ty responded.
"I wish to know if Ember Mice still exist in this world." he said bluntly. Hal was silent for a moment, but Ty knew what he was... and Mackenzie knew what he was, he was sure. He didn't recall if he'd told her, or if it had come up, but one such as her would just know... right?
And even if not, one like Mackenzie knowing about this was a thing that didn't matter, mostly because she was of a higher level that he was.
"Sure thing." he said, snapping his fingers, and causing Ty to wince in pain for a moment.
"...yep. They're still a thing." he assured Mackenzie.

Ty accepted the bottle... and just smirked in response.
"Well then." he said, setting the coffee down and opening the bottle. He poured a... generous amount... of the alcohol into his coffee, before closing the bottle, setting it down, and taking another drink.
"Darker or not, this is some fiiiiine drink." he commented, taking a larger gulp.
"Lady, you're all right." he told Mackenzie, as there was a knock on her door.
"It's me!" Hal called in.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Whisky." he told her.
"I love me some whisky in my coffee." he said further.
"So a little of that would make the medicine go down smoooooth."

Ty thought for a moment, before shrugging and taking out his cell phone, dialing a number on it.
"Hey, I'm in Mackenzie's dorm right now, and she has a concern about something, can you swing by?" he asked. "...ASAP. Like, right now?" he asked further, pausing again.
"Cool, see you in a minute." he then said, ending the call.
With that, he took a drink of the coffee, and licked his lips.
"Mm. Not bad." he commented. "...I generally have alcohol in my coffee, but... well, I'm a guest in this dorm." he then admitted.

Ty looked at her concernedly when she said that.
"...well, THAT'S just unacceptable." he told her.
"What's troubling you in terms of feasibility of acquisition?" he asked, before pausing slightly.
"...I have been spending far too much time casually chatting with Dr. Fyrane." he mumbled. "I swear he inherited his verbal fluff syndrome from his father." he cointinued.
"But seriously. Anything in specific you're questioning?"
