Forgive, O Lord, my

Ty hung his head slightly.
"...yeah..." he said.
"I know." he told her.
"But it's just a matter of time, I'm sure of it." he went on.
"Just... gotta keep moving until things start falling apart." he lamented further.
"...you okay, though?" he then asked her.

"...yeah." Ty agreed.
With that, he took out his cell phone, and called Miki.
Hazel watched as they had a brief conversation, and then Ty ended the call.
"Well, she's now concerned because of this lockdown." he said, his tone depressive.
"...but otherwise, she says she's fine." he finished, relief in his tone.
"Just need to make sure the whole building doesn't die on me now..." he then mumbled defeatedly.

Tyson's eyes widened for a moment.
"I... I don't know." he said.
"I mean, she seemed fine last I talked to her." he told her.
"Haven't really talked to her in a couple days. Been here pretty much non-stop." he admitted, thinking about it.
"But... she should be fine, at least." he said further.
"...I hope so, anyway."

"...can use all the help I can get." Ty responded.
"..." he was then silent again, before she heard him speak, more quietly.
"Please forgive me." he told her, his voice seemingly strained now, but sounding more like himself. "I don't know why I'm acting like this... I can't help it... just keep me working. Keep me doing my job." he went on.
"...ignore what I say... I don't mean it..." he finished.
"Perhaps if you're helping me, I won't let down Hal like I do everyone else." he then lamented, sounding like he had before.

Ty didn't say anything at first, and just sighed.
"I know." he said.
"I know you've had it worse." he told her.
"And I know you're strong for keeping it together, too." he went on.
"I'm doing what I can." he continued.
"Hal left me in charge here, so I at least owe it to him to keep this place from completely falling apart."

"...am I doing all right." Ty responded.
"Hah." he laughed quietly.
"I'm never all right." he said.
"Why WOULD I be all right?" he asked her.
"I'm a damn mess and you KNOW it."

Ty was half-slumped down on the desk, mostly just staring at the wall and letting his mind drift.
He debated not acknowledging Hazel, but then realised that might not go so well.
So he looked over towards her.
"...yeah?" he asked. "What is it?" he asked further.
"We're in lockdown because of something in the medical wing, if you're asking about THAT." he then added.

"Uh-huh." Ty responded.
Then, before she heard the phone call end, she swore she heard him mutter something. She wasn't quite sure, but she thought she heard the start of 'not like I'm worth taking care of, anyway', or something along those lines.
But before she could say anything it had been ended.
And then then heard the P.A. System, with Ty's voice over it.
"We're under lockdown. Nobody gets in or out." he announced.
"Have fun." he finished.

"Right." Ty replied.
"I'm just going to assume we're screwed." he told her.
"I'm putting the building under lockdown." he said.
"Pretty much all I CAN do." he went on.
"Anything else?" he asked again.

"Sure." Ty responded.
"Lockdown. Got it." he said.
"And you overrule me. Got it." he said further.

"...." she was met with a bit of an extended silence, before Ty spoke.
"...of course." he said.
"Things have to be as miserable as possible right now." he said further.
"Quarantine? Okay then. Noted." he continued, sounding a little more curt than usual. Noticeably so.
"So what is it? The plague? Ebola? Both?" he asked her.
"No, don't tell me, it's even worse. It's the worse case scenario, isn't it? Are we all dead?"
"...of course." he said.

"You try and stay safe as well." Hal responded.
"...as best you can." he then mumbled.
With that, they ended the call, and Hal looked at his phone, before cursing lightly in a long-forgotten obscure language.
"Why NOW?" he snarled.
"Damn it, this makes NO sense." he growled further, gripping the bridge of his nose and forcing himself to calm down somewhat.

"....hm." Hal mumbled.
"Well, you know my capabilities." he said.
"If you have any wishes you feel would be useful, let me know." he told her.
"Even something as simple as temporarily allowing Nate to converse with the fae at your home." he went on. "I don't know if they speak English or not." he admitted further.
"I know you and Liv can speak with them for obvious reasons, and I'd always assumed that, if it wasn't English, Zeke's celestial mana allowed him to understand them." he went on.
"But I digress." he mumbled.
"Do what you need to."

"Hopefully." Hal responded.
"Damn it, Ouroboros?" he then growled. "I thought that thing ran out of victims thanks to the measures taken last time this happened, and disappeared." he went on.
"...do you suspect anything?" he asked her.
"Such as bioterrorism or something else?" he asked further.
"Or is this too new of a development?"
