Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

"I know you hate this." Hal responded.

"However, my statement still stands." he told her.

"And yes, Agent King IS the one I left in charge." he confirmed.

"Work with him, but you have the capacity and authority to make decisions over his head, if need be." he went on.

"As long as you feel it's right for general health and safety."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

There was silence on the other end for a moment.

"Do whatever you need to." he said.

"You now have complete and utter authority in the Unit." he told her.

"Your orders, if need be, can and will supersede all others, until I return." he went on.

"And you have the capacity to designate others for positions of authority as well, until such time as I return."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

It didn't take long for a call back.

After about 5 minutes, as she was getting ready to get some things done, the phone rang.

"It's me." Hal said when she answered.

"What's going on?" he asked.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke nodded.

"All right." he said.

"I'll leave you be." he told her.

"Let me know if you think of anything I can do." he finished, before leaving.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

"I know." Zeke replied.

"But it needs to be done." he said.

"If you can't, I will." he told her.

He didn't relish the thought either, but he'd do whatever he could to ease her burden.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke didn't know what to say here.

He could see she was worried. To understate it.

He wondered if anything he said would make a difference.

So he shut up and pulled her into a hug, holding her close.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke sighed.

"Yeah." he said.

"Seems there may be more to this." he said further.

"...maybe. I don't know." he admitted.

"I'll just do whatever I'm told."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke looked a little confused and concerned.

"I see." he said.

"That makes sense." he mumbled.

"I told the fae at the house we'd be away, and they asked if it had something to do with a disturbance they felt." he told her.

"So... I don't think you're making that up."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke shook his head.

"I don't know either." he said.

"Maybe contact the draydins or something." he went on.

"They might be able to make something to help. They've gotten better since the outbreak that got Andrew."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke paused when she said that.

"What Andrew Cole had?" he asked.

She nodded.

"...oh dear." Zeke then said.

"This is pretty close to worst-case scenario."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my

"...I see." Zeke replied.

"Must be very serious." he said.

"A a believed to be beaten virus?" he asked.

"What is it?" he asked her.

"Besides something that is extremely serious."

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

"Ok." Zeke said.

"Come on." he told Liv.

The two then made their way to where Angela had said and then Zeke returned.

"Ok, I'm back." he said.

...and I'll forgive thy

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke just mana'd into the barrier with Liv.

"Quarantine." he said.

"Great." he muttered.

"Means Lunet's gotten worse." he said further.

"Well, I guess I'll disappear somewhere into this area and be out of the way." he told Angela.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord, my
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke shook his head.

"No. I don't." he said.

"Which is why this is so unnerving to me right now." he admitted.

"Anyway..." he mumbled, taking her by the hand, as the two of them disappeared from where they were, appearing just outside the medical wing, in a little alcove-like area.

"All right... let's go." he said, as they walked towards the wing.

"Angela!?" he called out.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
