Hal laughed a little when she made her comments.

"You get things done that no other guard can." he told her.

"You're light, quick on your feet, stealthy as anything..." he went on as they left Mira's office, and the R&D department itself. "...you're truly a credit to my team." he assured her.

"And you've got the right attitude, and spunk." he said further.

"Jake knew what he saw when you rushed into our lives."

Hal paused and looked over towards Izea, before clearing his throat a little.

"Oh... right." he said.

"That spear IS pretty long..." he admitted, making his way over, wording that as tactfully as he could. Saying the spear was long was a lot more professional than pointing out she was shorter than MIRA.

He walked closer and extended his hand, taking the spear and looking at her.

"This will be a little easier." he said.

"Sorry about that."

"...ah, right." Hal responded.

"Izea, you'll need to come with." he told Izzy.

"While Kiah is dealing with this renegade soul, you'll need to initiate the swap back." he went on, knowing she knew what he was talking about.

"I dare say Kiah will be in no condition to concentrate on anything more than the soul." he reasoned.

"Now, if we're both clear on this, we'll do it in the holding cell that Mira's body is in. Let's move." he finished.

Hal nodded in response.

"All right." he said.

"Let's go." he told her.

"Izea, thank you for the information." he then said further.

"We need to get this spear and Mira's body into the same room, and make sure the body is restrained so they won't try and interfere with this." he went on.

"The sooner we clear this up, the better."

Hal just groaned and pinch the bridge of his nose.

"Kiah, you KNOW I'm never willing to risk someone like that." he told her.

"This is about YOU." he said.

"If YOU are willing to risk it, then we'll go ahead with it." he went on.

"Because I refuse to order you to risk your soul." he insisted.

"But if you are willing to try, of your own volition, then let's get this done."

Hal looked over towards her, and slightly gritted his teeth.

"We know what's going on." he told her.

He and Izea then gave her a brief explanation that resulted in her knowing EXACTLY what was going on, and the cause of it. After they finished, he crossed his arms over his chest and looked her in the eye.

"Can you remove a soul... and NOT form a link?" he asked.

"Because all of us know that Mira and Peyton would never forgive themselves if you permanently fractured your soul to help them like this." he reasoned. "Peyton more so." he added.

"That IS fair..." Hal responded.

"Hmmm..." he then mumbled.

"So we know the situation... I wonder if..." he went on, before sending Kiah a text to her cell phone.

Kiah, we know exactly what's going on, and we know of a way you can help. But it all depends on your self control. If you can, meet me in Mira's office ASAP. I'll be waiting with Izea. he sent her.

He then shook his head and looked at the spear.

"Damn it all..." he cursed quietly.

Hal looked at the spear... and almost instantly, everything connected and he was beating himself up mentally.

"The spear!" he exclaimed. "Damn it, how did we overlook that for so long!?" he said further.

"...so there was a soul inside, and you think it initiated a switch between themselves and Mira... possibly for the purpose of killing Roxie?" he asked her.

"Basically, yes." Izea responded.

"Well then, I-" Hal started to say further, before stopping and growling.

"I won't be able to do it all." he realised. "If the soul inside Mira does not want to be wrenched from her body, I can't do it. I'd be interfering with their free will, by technicality, and because it's such a strange position we find ourselves in with this..."

Hal realised that he hadn't answered her question, but at the same time... KINDA did. She need clarification, obviously, and he sighed as he realised he was going to need a couple of days vacation after this.

"I... could, yes." he responded.

"I have the knowledge, just... not the practice. But in theory, should be simple enough. Relatively speaking." he assured her.

"And I see." he then said further.

"I'm willing to try whatever it is you seem to have in your head."

"....huh?" Hal muttered.

"Remove a soul from an object...?" he asked her, before pausing and thinking about it.

"Hmmmmm..." he mumbled, scratching at his chin slightly.

"I've... never done something like that before." he admitted. "However, as strange as this stipulation sounds, if the soul in said object does not BELONG in that object, and does not wish to be in that object, then yes. It should be decently simple." he told her.

"...basically, so long as I'm not directly hurting anyone, and I'm not interrupting with free will." he stated, but then paused again.

"Do you know something?" he asked.

Ryker continued to look forward, concentrating on the road.

"Good morning." he greeted him.

"We've made good distance since you passed out." he said.

"At this rate, we'll be home late tomorrow." he continued.

"I assume you just woke up and haven't even eaten yet." he added at the end.

"....I don't know." Hal admitted.

"Nobody knows right now." he said further.

"It's touch and go, up and down, back and forth." he went on.

"...there IS a real chance we'll lose her, Izea." he then lamented, shaking his head.

"Because of... whoever it is invading Mira's body. And we don't even know where MIRA is!"

"....I see." Savra responded after a pause.

"I'm... just... I see." was all they could say.

They then returned to their animal form and laid down by Eke's feet.

'I wish I could help.' they told him mentally.

'...you should probably let your brother know you're awake, too.' they then added.

He raised an eyebrow when he saw this, before knocking lightly on the doorframe.

"Izea?" he said.

"Everything all right?" he asked her.

"You look like you're in serious thought." he then said further. "My apologies if I am interrupting something." he apologised.

However, he wondered if she had come up with anything.

He hoped she had.
