Lindsay was silent for a moment, before returning the embrace, holding his mother close.

"You... do?" he asked.

"I'll admit, I... didn't know that." he said.

"You're good at keeping secrets." he then commented.

"And a dozen people is a decent amount." he reasoned.

"I'm willing to bet Candentus Lux will be safe, too." he added, referring to the guild that Ash worked for.

"......." he was silent, before looking at her.

"Huh?" he asked.

"I..." he stammered.

"I... well, I've heard rumours..." he told her.

"But never anything concrete." he said further.

"........if it's on the news, I have no choice but to... think it's real..." he then admitted.

Vincent was silent, unsure of how to respond.

This was not something he expected to hear from Racquel.

"I..." he stammered.

"I... I see..." he managed to get out, even if she didn't hear him.

"Oh dear..." he mumbled.

'This just because a LOT more precarious...' he thought.

'Looks like I can't count on Racquel's help breaking it to Rowena...'

Vincent went from shocked, to stunned.

"Excuse me?" he asked.

"I'm sorry, what!?" he exclaimed.

"Racquel, we can't let this get the better of us!" he told her.

"This doesn't mean the world will end!" he continued.

"We need to try and keep cool heads." he went on.

"Your sister is going to freak out when she hears of this."

Vincent was shocked by her tone.

He hadn't expected it.

But she had asked a question. So he would respond. She deserved answers.

"I asked that same thing to Alice." he told her.

"No. I don't think it is." he said.

"I... Racquel, I think... they're happening again."

"....." Vincent was silent, before taking a drink.

"Yes." he said.

"We are." he told her.

"...Racquel, check the latest news on your phone." he then told her further.

"History is repeating itself." he said.

"In the worst way possible."

Vincent nodded.

"Of course." he replied.

With that, he split from her, made his way to her livingroom, and sat down.

'She's not going to like this.' he thought.

'...but she DOES need to know.' he sighed further.

"Damn it." he then cursed lightly.

"....no." Vincent replied.

"I WISH it were just that..." he said.

"Racquel, we need to talk." he told her.

"I need your help." he continued.

"Something's happening, and you need to know about it... before your sister, anyway."

He paused when he smelled the aroma.

"...what...?" he mumbled.

"What the...?" he asked, looking around.

"This... smell..." he said further.

He then looked around once more, narrowing his eyes.

"Hmmm." he mumbled, making his way to where she normally made her tea.

"....." Vincent was silent as he ventured further into the apartment.

'This... is ominous.' he thought.

'What is going ON here...?' he wondered.

"Raquel?" he asked again.

"Are you home?" he asked further.

"...perhaps it might be more prudent to... call..." he then told himself quietly, backing up a little.

"You do that." Vincent replied.

"I'll talk to you later." he told her.

With that, they ended the call, and Vincent made his way to the basement, where Rocky's apartment was.

He stopped at the door, sighed, and knocked.

"Racquel?" he called in.

"We should talk!" he said.

"Indeed." Vincent replied.

"I had a feeling you should know." he told her.

"I won't take up any more of your time." he then said.

"...I have a task ahead of me." he mumbled.

"My wife." he said.

"And you KNOW what I mean by that."

Vincent just shook his head slightly.

"Not a pleasure this time." he told her.

"Far from it." he said further.

"Check ANY recent news feed." he went on.

"Alice alerted me to something that... may portend the end of the world." he said further.

"And that is NO exaggeration."

Vincent watched her leave, before looking at the plants in his greenhouse.

"...I seriously doubt any of these will help." he muttered.

"But... more importantly... Rowena can't be kept in the dark about this forever." he said to himself.

"Sooner or later, she'll find out." he went on.

"But how should she find out?" he wondered.

"What would be the best way to go about this...?" he asked further, before taking out his cell phone and calling his sister, figuring she should know about this, if she didn't already.
