Hal nodded.

"I can." he told her.

With that, he left to do so.

He wasn't gone very long, about 10 minutes, before returning with the smoothie she requested.

"Here." he said, setting it down close to her.

"Sorry about the wait. Was a line in the cafeteria."

Hal shook his head.

"20 minutes is fine." he said.

"Right now, the primary objective is saving Rebecca." he told her.

"I have certain things that need to be put into place, yes, but those aren't as important." he went on.

"Regardless, 20 minutes, huh?" he asked.

"Do you want a drink?"

"The only guarantee I expect is a guarantee you will try everything, and try your hardest." Hal replied.

"That's what I expect from my staff." he continued.

"And my daughter, as well." he added.

"......" he was then silent, biting his lip slightly.

He knew he had to tell her. She deserved to know. But he knew he had to wait. He didn't want to risk her knowing getting in the way of what she was doing... or possibly distracting her.

But he would tell her as soon as she was done here, regardless of the result.

"Then let's go." Hal replied.

"Time is of the essence, here." he told her.

She nodded and quickly told Cain she was going with her father, before the two of them made their way back to Hal's office. Once there, he logged into his computer, and got out of his chair, allowing her to sit in it.

"All right." he said.

"Do your magic." he told her.

"Even if she doesn't have her cell phone on her, it may contain a hint as to where she could be taken." he reasoned.

"And it's the only lead we have right now."

The two of them stepped away from Cain, and just moved into the next room.

"I need your technical expertise." he told her.

"Specifically, can you track a phone?" he asked.

Before she could question why, he explained the situation in full, saying what had happened, what was happening, and the price that was paid.

"We need to save Rebecca." he continued.

"Can you track her phone?"

"There was a 65% chance of this happening." Cain responded.

"However, if it had been in that rare 35% range... it would have been amazing." he told her.

"Regardless, it's not like this was unex-" he started to say, as Hal suddenly approached.

".....right." he said upon seeing the mess.

"I'm not asking." he said further.

"Lunet, we need to talk, young lady." he then told his daughter.

"Well, as it stands, my current task is to get the ball rolling in saving Rebecca." Hal responded.

"And talking to my daughter is the first step." he continued.

"If her phone can be tracked, we need to get on it." he went on.

"I then need to monitor the world situation, and see how fast it is de-escalating." he went on.

"And determine how long lockdown must continue."

"I will go and see her, then." Hal said.

"And return Jackson's phone to him." he told her, handing the device back to her.

"He can use it more than I can." he reasoned.

"Thank you." he said further.

"Regardless, I have... things to do, and feelings to put aside for now." he then said quietly.

Robyn could see that being the boss was hard. He wanted to go to Hollie, the woman he loved, but he couldn't. Not right now. He still had responsibilities to tend to... and he had to find a way to save Rebecca.

Hal was silent for a moment.

"Depends." he said.

"Do you know where my daughter is?" he asked.

"It might be quicker for me to go to her, than calling her here over the P.A. system." he reasoned.

"Otherwise, you are dismissed." he told her.

"Thank you for bringing this information to me." he said, gesturing to Jackson's phone.

"Yeah." Hal replied.

"Talk to you later, Nakia." he said, before they ended the call and he hung up.

"...damn it." he cursed.

"Why NOW?" he asked.

".........." he was then silent, and sighed.

"Right. Work to do." he said quietly.

"We'll take turns." Hal replied.

He then forced himself to calm down, and let out a deep breath.

"Please keep me informed, Nakia." he told her.

"I'll be there as soon as I can to try and help... if there's any way that I can." he said further.

"Thank you for letting me know." he finished.

Hal almost collapsed from shock, but managed to sit down slowly.

"I... I see." he said.

"At least... she's alive." he said further.

"...though I'm not sure I can say the same for whomever attempted this, for long." he went on.

"They've made some very serious enemies." he continued, his tone dark.

And from what Robyn could see, his expression even darker.

"We should be able to." Hal replied.

"I'll need to speak with my daughter about this." he told her.

It was then that he received a call, and answered it.

"Hal Sharp speaking." he said.

Robyn then watched his eyes widen, and his face pale.

"....there's been an assassination attempt on Hollie...?" he asked in a whisper.

Hal was silent, before looking at the text.

And his expression changed. To sorrow, shock, and anger.

"...damn it." he cursed.

"Damn it all!" he repeated, louder this time.

"This is unacceptable!" he declared.

"Such a price should not need to be paid!"
