Marc was silent again, and sighed deeply.

He then scribbled an address down, and handed it to her.

"Find a motel or hotel in the general vicinity, and book a room with two beds." he told her.

"I'll take them there to rest off their weakness." he explained.

He then paused, and thought for another moment.

"And I would like Sydney Sherwood's phone number." he added.

"..." the man was silent, and then sighed.

"....my daughter." he told her.

"They have my daughter." he said.

"I failed her in the past, I won't do it here." he vowed.

"I refuse to sit back and let this happen." he went on.

"I will save her. She doesn't deserve this. She doesn't deserve any of the hardships she'd endured."

Marcus just shook his head.

"I know." he replied.

"I came to you the INSTANT I found out I had an opening." he told her.

"It'll be brief, but... I know I can do it." he then assured her.

"I can save them both." he went on.

"...I owe it to her..." he then mumbled, guilt in his tone.

Marcus thought for a moment, and sighed.

"Yes." he replied.

"However, she's not the one under the Doll Daisy control." he told her.

"...she IS, however, why time is precious." he then admitted.

"But this needs to be done with precision and finesse. Otherwise, it could be disastrous for both of them." he lamented, shaking his head a little.

"But you know I know what I'm doing." he added.

Marcus accepted the mug, and sighed.

"It is, and I am." he replied.

"I've been tracking some people for a while, and they have hostages." he told her.

"One of them has Doll Daisies in her." he lamented.

"I need to rescue them before it's too late."

"Something drinkable." Marcus replied.

"The victim in question ingested it." he told her.

"So the most efficient way of neutralising it is the same way. But a liquid will start working a lot faster than a solid." he reasoned.

"And the sooner the better." he added, before pausing.

"...that being said, I have SOME time." he went on.

"Within the next 8 hours, at the latest." he specified.

"Is that doable?"

The man took his hat off, revealing his eyes... one of them being identical to Desiree's.

"I need a special mixture." he told her.

"Specifically, one that has Clarity Carnations in it." he added.

Clarity Carnations were an ingredient that was... weird. They were sometimes used in generic detox-like mixtures, but they never really added much for overall help.

However, they were known for one specific use-case.

They counteracted Doll Daisies.

Sure enough, about 5 minutes later, she heard the doorbell ring. She made her way to the door and opened it, revealing a man in a black trenchcoat, and a brimmed black hat, covering his face in shadows.

"...Rocky." he said with a tip of his hat.

"Sorry about this." he apologised.

"But I am in dire need of assistance." he told her. "Assistance that only YOU can provide." he added.

"..." he was then silent for a moment... and then sighed quietly.

"Again, I apologise for the short notice."

Of course. she received almost immediately.

Over the next 45 minutes or so, she heard scuffling and shuffling upstairs, as well as water running, like a shower or two. And when everything stopped, she got another message.

We're headed out. Vincent sent her.

We'll be sure to bring you back something. the next one read.

She then heard the faint sound of the front door upstairs close.

Vincent just smiled.

"All right." he replied.

"It's the least I can do." he told her. "For the both of you." he said.

"...hm." he then mumbled.

"Yeah." he said to himself with a small nod.

"I'll go see Rowena now." he told her, before leaving to go and check on Rowena.

"I'll make sure we leave post-haste!" he called to Rocky.

"............" Vincent was silent for a long moment, before sighing.

"....so it is..." he said.

"I... hadn't realised it." he muttered.

He then bit his lip, and looked up to the ceiling, in the direction of Rowena's workroom.

"...Racquel, you know you don't need to put your money into this." he then said further, placing a hand over her wallet, and the other under her hand.

"I appreciate it so much... but you don't need to drain your funds for this." he assured her.

"But... but I will take her out for dinner. Right now, in fact."

A few seconds later, the man in question appeared, coming from the den.

"...yes?" he asked.

"What is it?" he inquired.

"Still having problems with your latest blend?" he asked further, before sighing quietly.

"I'd help, but I'm a little preoccupied." he told her.

"Trying to find Kalin and all."

"........." one of them was silent as he saw just how controlled Desiree seemed to be.

"You know..." he said. "For a lower life form... she's pretty hot..." he reasoned, looking her up and down.

The other one was silent as well, hearing that, before smacking them upside the head.

"You ARE an animal." he snarled.

"Come on." he ordered Desiree and his partner, as they left the place, and stepped into the alley that the two had been hiding in previously.

Once there, the first one gave an address to Desiree.

"Teleport us to the alley behind the building. All three of us." he ordered her.

Aly was silent for a moment, before nodding.

"Eke..." she said.

"We'll get all that done." he told her.

"I promise we'll have our wedding." she continued with a smile.

"And... a crystal?" she asked.

"What crystal?"
