"We'll do all we can to help you." Tyson replied.

"Please... let us help." he said.

"Lunet, honey, you're a loooooong way from home." he then told her.

"You're across the ocean." he went on.

"You won't be able to get back to your mama on your own." he said further. "You'll just end up getting lost and hurt." he continued.

"........." Ty was silent for a moment, before sighing deeply.

"Right." he said.

He then approached Ilias and the girl, and knelt down as well.

"Hold on, there." he said to her. "Hey, hey, just hold on." he repeated.

"We can't help you with anything, unless we know more about you." he told her.

"How about your name?" he asked. "Would you mind telling us your name?"

"...I'll be there momentarily." was the answer she received.

Sure enough, about a minute later, the one she called showed up.

"Hey." Ty said as he saw her.

"So I hear there's a child here, in distress." he commented.

"Care to fill me in on some of the details?" he asked. "It'd really help if I had a little bit more of a grasp on the situation." he reasoned.

"...." Aly was silent for a moment, before blushing and chuckling.

"Oh, my goodness, that was a silly mistake on my part." she said.

"Technically the next meal is breakfast." she told him. "It's in a few hours." she went on.

"And I'll make sure there's shark steaks for dinner today." she then promised him.

"And... something exotic?" she then asked.

"Hmmm." he mumbled, thinking it over.

"......" again, Ilias was silent.

"Sweetie..." he said further, but didn't know what to say here.

"...please. You need to rest." he told her.

"You're still hurt, and suffering from the effects of what happened to you." he went on.

"So... so please just concern yourself with resting and recovering, okay?" he asked her.

"..................." Ilias was silent for a moment, before placing his hands gently on her shoulders.

"Sweetie, no." he said.

"If you were taken to another country to be killed, and your mother will only be angry that you haven't cleaned the house, then you shouldn't be with her." he told her.

It hadn't gone past him that she referred to it as her mother's home. Not her own home. Her mother's. And that made his worry even MORE.

"Does your mother hurt you?" he then asked her.

"...." Ilias was silent as he looked to Angela for a moment, before making his way towards the girl and kneeling down so that he was at her level.

"Why do you say that?" he asked.

"Surely your mother would have noticed..." he said further.

He then glanced at Angela with a worried look... were the injuries on the girl's body related to this statement?

Ilias looked towards her when she spoke, shock in his expression.

"W-Wales?" he asked.

"But... but you're..." he stammered, before shaking his head.

"How... did you get here?" he asked.

"This is San Diego... in the United States..." he then informed her.

"...heh." Ilias muttered.

"Thanks, Angela." he said.

"Regardless, I'm just glad she'll recover." he told her.

"Sharp said he'll come see her when she's fully recovered from the incident, or if there's an emergency." he went on.

"...was there any I.D. on her?" he then asked.

"We checked around the place, no I.D.'s or anything." he told her.

"...or has anyone come back with a missing persons' report with a description that matches her?" he then asked further.

"........" the male was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"Yes." he replied. "He has been." he told her.

"He said he'll see her when she's conscious again, and feeling stronger than before." he said further.

"...sometimes I hate what I am." he then muttered. "People like him make me seriously ponder about what I am and what my mark on the world will be." he went on, before shaking his head.

"Sorry, didn't mean to go all depressive like that." he then said.

"But from what you've seen, do you think she'll recover from this incident?" he asked.

Aly thought for a moment.

".....hmmm." she muttered.

"Fish." she said.

"And you can decide what kind." she told him.

"A new fish market opened up, and they have EVERYTHING." she added, some excitement to her tone now.

"You're welcome." he replied.

"Now just relax. If you feel like sleeping, sleep." he told her. "I promise that when you wake up, you'll be in a safe place." he promised her.

Whether she truly believed him or not, she did end up passing out and falling asleep. And when she regained consciousness, she found herself in a soft bed, with the sounds of various voices in the background... one of them being the man from earlier that had rescued her.

She also discovered that she had much better freedom of movement now, and she was considerably warmer.

"Seems we got to her just in time." the man said, talking to someone else.

"She'll make a full recovery, yes?" he asked.

Aly was about to respond, but his kiss surprised her. She smiled, though, blushing slightly, and returned it.

"I know." she said when the embrace was finished.

"I can help a bit with that." she told him.

"Some listlessness and tiredness is expected, considering what's been happening, and your condition." she reasoned.

"And I can at least give you something for the second half of that."

"Oh, thank heavens." he said as he caught her.

"Sir!" one of the others said as they returned.

"Any other survivors?" the man asked.

"....none." the one that came in reported, crestfallen. "We've checked everywhere and done a scan of the place... nobody." they confirmed.

"Damn." the one holding the girl muttered. "Well, at least we saved THIS one." he said further, standing up with her in his arms.

"Grab my equipment. The girl needs to be taken to the medical wing. STAT." he ordered the man.

"Sir!" the other one replied, before hastily gathering the things up.

"You'll be all right." he told her quietly as he started to walk. "Just relax, and everything will be all right. I promise." he went on.

"You're safe now."
