Cain looked over towards her, before starting to follow.

"No, no, you don't get it." he said.

"I have to find a blind girl." he told her.

"She doesn't belong here... wherever this is." he went on.

"I'm in charge of her safety and well-being, I NEED to find her and rescue her."

Cain was silent as he saw this.

"....huh?" he asked.

"What happened?" he asked her.

"What's going on?" he asked further.

Inside, he was fighting with himself. His feral side was trying to break free. But he was holding it in.

'Guess Mom's training is working.' he thought.

"Out?" Cain asked.

"Out? Uh... I mean... yeah, sure?" he said, confusion in his tone, before he started to make his way towards where she was.

"What's... what's going on, here?" he asked Rebecca.

"Where am I?" he asked her.

"...did you see what happened to the girl that was with me?" he asked her further.

".....huh?" he muttered.

"....what?" he asked, as he saw the door opening.

"What's... going on?" he asked further, grimacing slightly.

The last thing he remembered was leaving the cafe when he started to feel off... and Lunet had been feeling off as well. Then... he remembered nothing but darkness.

'...Lunet!' he then exclaimed mentally.

"Lunet?" he asked, wondering if the one that opened the door was her.

Aly had made her way back downstairs, and was at one of the counters, mixing up things for Eke's meds. She was making an allotment of different ones for him.

She lightly hummed to herself as she did so, as the shower upstairs was heard. It wasn't heard for long, before it shut down and footsteps were heard a few minutes later.

"All right, I'm off." Ryker said as he appeared.

"Dunno when I'll be back, depends on how long the presentations drone on." he said further, making his way to the door and getting his shoes on.

Ty nodded as Miki said what she did.

"We're here for you, Hal." he said.

"You and your family." he told him.

"Thank you so much." Hal replied.

They then said their goodbyes, and Hal left, making his way back to the Unit, and his office, where he made a series of phone calls. Calls to people he knew were the only ones capable of getting this job done.

He then sighed as he finished them, and waited for them to come to his office.

Hal just sighed, and snapped his fingers.

"Granted." he said as he did so. And after a moment, there was clarity in his eyes.

"....I know where she is, now." he muttered.

"And I need to get a team together." he went on.

"....I won't involve you two any longer than I already have." he then said to Ty and Miki. "You've done more than enough, and I apologise for your being dragged into this already." he apologised.

"But thank you." he told her.

"Thank you do much for this."

Ryker watched Eke go back inside, before smirking.

"Well, at least he seems to be in a better mood." he commented.

He then headed back inside, and started to make his way upstairs.

"Grabbin' a shower!" he announced to the house.

"Eke, there's fresh coffee in the pot on the counter!"

"...." Hal was silent, before sighing.

He cleared his throat and gave a brief explanation as to why Lunet was a djinn.

"It was just to give her some perspective." he said.

"Well, that's secondary right now." Ty chimed in.

"What matters is that Lunet is in danger, and she needs rescuing." he said.

"And she'd next door to a skyscraper, with a park near her." he went on.

"...it's... SOMETHING..." Hal said. "But that could be any number of locations."

I'll be right there. she got as a reponse, after a few seconds.

"Miki? What's up?" Ty asked as he got out of the hot tub.

However, before she could respond, there was a loud knocking on the door of the place they were renting.

"It's me!" they heard Hal call in.

"...eh?" Ty muttered, extremely confused now.

"I assume you were expecting that?" he asked her.

"Oh, hell!" he exclaimed, as he grabbed her by her arms and propped her up so that she didn't sink under the water, and subsequently drown.

"Kid?" he asked.

"...Miki?" he asked further, but no answer.

"Hm." he mumbled.

'Looks like she's gone into another trance.' he thought. 'But... WHY?' he asked himself mentally, shaking his head a little, and sighing.

'And here I thought we could have a vacation without any weirdness.' he lamented.

He then made sure she was all right, and stood by to make sure she didn't slip under the water again, until she snapped out of whatever she was in right now.

The room she was in felt... cold. Sterile. It was almost as though she were in a cell. And it was quiet around her. It was as though she was alone in it.

She DID hear some voices after a bit. They were muffled, as though they were coming from the other side of a door, but she could hear them, still.

"You sure?" one asked.

"Yup. She's not human. She'll fit RIGHT in, here." another responded.

"....damn it." Hal cursed.

I was afraid of that. he sent back.

Thanks for trying, though. he then sent.

With that, he set his phone down, and proceeded to worry.

"Where could she be?" he wondered.

"Where could THEY be?" he asked further.

"What the hell's happening here...?"

"I do." Ryker responded.

"Not as full a day as usual, though." he then said.

"Some new safety regulations and such have come through, so we need to sit through some damn presentations and training and blah blah blah." he muttered.

"I'm due there in about 45 minutes or so." he continued.

"Not looking forward to it. It's gonna be boring as all hell."
