The man just sighed, and shook his head.

"Wonderful." he said.

"What has he done to warrant THIS?" he muttered, before heading up the stairs to get the boy.

"...." Zeke was silent for a moment, before looking at the woman.

"Just to be perfectly clear, I'm not here as a representative of what I am." he told her.

"It's coincidence, I assure you."

The demon just crossed his arms over his chest as Eke said what he did.

"Mmhmm." he said.

"I'd let him back out, but I need to build up my power for this." he told him.

"But he hears you." he then said.

"...believe me, he hears you." he mumbled.

"Remember, it's not my fault if you end up being too weak to hang onto your connection with Ry-Guy."

Zeke raised an eyebrow when she said what she did.

"I.... see." he said.

"Well, if this is some misguided attempt to garner her attention and/or affection... it's not working." he told her.

"If anything, it's causing Miss Hayes and her daughter some rather annoying inconveniences in their lives." he continued.

It was at that point, a male with similar features came up from the basement they had.

"Hey honey, do you know where-?" he started to ask, before he and Zeke looked at each other, seemingly exchanging a silent conversation.

"I didn't know we had company." he then commented.

Zeke looked at the items on the tray, before looking at the woman.

"Well..." he said, noting the moniker/adjective/purjorative that she had used, indicating that the boy had a bit of a... history.

"It's actually about Miss Angela Hayes a few houses down." he told her.

"See... it seems that her front door has been... targeted... by your son. On multiple occasions." he explained.

"No matter how many times I fix it for her, he just comes back and does something else to it. He'll mangle the lock, warp and stiffen up the hinges, that sort of thing." he explained further.

"Quite frankly, it's getting tiresome at the very least, and it's... well... we'll leave it at tiresome for now."

"Oh, he knows." the demon responded.

"All right then, here we go!" he exclaimed, before there was an ominous pulse of... something... that emanated from the demon, rippling outwards for a few seconds.

He was then silent and still, before standing up.

"Let's go." he told him.

"We can just walk out, everyone should be passed out." he said, before snapping his fingers, and causing the power to the place to flicker and short for a few seconds.

"And now any records... physical and electronic... have been erased." he informed Eke.

"It's like you never attacked that sap, and nobody knows you were even here."

"........" Zeke didn't say anything, as the woman said all she did.

"Ah. Please." he then said, stepping inside and allowing the woman to shut the door behind him.

"And... yes, I am." he confirmed.

"Odds are he wasn't good at hiding it." he mumbled.

"But yes, some tea would be lovely." he reiterated.

"....." Zeke was silent for a moment, before turning back to Angela.

"Be right back!" he called towards her.

He then stepped outside, shutting the door behind him, and made his way down to the front door of the house that the boy had bolted inside.

Once there, he rang the doorbell.

"Don't answer that!" he heard a voice from inside shout, which was followed by some muffled and hectic conversation.

He then sighed, before knocking on the door this time.

The demon just cracked his fingers.

"All right then." he said.

"If you're sure about this." he told him.

"The first thing I'm going to do is... perform some strategic mind-wiping." he said.

"We need the right people to forget about the little incident that got you in here." he explained.

"Plus, it's fun to mess with the memories of mortals on this plane." he snickered darkly.

"Then we get you out of here... and I perform the removal." he told him further.

"Last chance to back out. You SURE you got the will to hang onto what you have with Ry-guy?"

The boy hadn't been able to do too much to it, before Zeke swung the door open.

"Ah-HEM!" he cleared his throat loudly, towering over him.

"Excuse me." he said.

"Mind telling me what you're doing, and WHY you're doing it?" he asked the boy.

"And your explanation had BETTER be a good one." he added ominously.

"O-of course." Zeke responded, before he headed out to pick Liv up.

-Later that evening-

The three of them had just finished eating dinner, and Liv was getting washed up, while Zeke and Angela were sitting in the den, on the couch, with Angela getting some work done.

"So..." Zeke mumbled.

"About... what we were saying earlier, before I needed to go get Liv..." he went on, before suddenly freezing.

"Wait!" he said.

"...I'm getting some early triggers from that alarm." he told her.

"Gonna need to hold that thought again." he finished, before slowly getting up.

The demon just laughed ominously.

"You expect a demon to give you a solution without a hitch?" he asked.

"I don't think so." he said, shaking his finger.

"That being said, you DO have a way to beat me at my own game." he then told him.

"I can yank out what you don't want in there... but the fact of the matter, is that I'm not technically the one that exacts the toll of your memories." he explained. "The shroud within you does. And it will try and exact the most precious of tolls." he said.

"So you need to be stronger. You need to have an iron grip on those memories of Ry-guy." he continued.

"Simply put... if you care enough about him.... and if you have a tight enough grip on those memories and friendship... then you come out of this deal scot free." he summarized.

"You feel me?"

"Well... I'm glad you do." Zeke responded.

"....hey..." he then said.

"Do... do you think that... it might be possible..." he went on, before his phone went off.

"Oh, crap." he said.

"I need to head out. Gotta make sure I'm in time to pick up Liv." he told her.

"Eh-heh..." Zeke chuckled.

"Well... m-maybe." he said, blushing again.

"I mean... all I can do is do what I do for now." he told her.

"......you really think so?" he then asked.

"Like... you really mean that?"

Zeke chuckled in response.

"Well, we can do that tomorrow night." he said.

"I have the stuff here to make the pizza. And I've been meaning to make it again." he told her.

"It's at times like this, I'm grateful my mother took the time and effort to beat these skills into my head." he then laughed.

"My dad just wanted me to be more archangel-like, but mom insisted I have human skills for this world." he continued.

"...and in hindsight, dad can't argue with her now." he added.
