Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Michael just started chuckling to himself. Repeatedly.

He didn't say anything more, and grasped the crystal with both his hands.

She then saw it start to glow... as his hands did as well, and his eyes became a hollow white.

"I FEEL IT! I FEEL-" he started to yell, but stopped abruptly.

"...I've made a horrible mistake." he said.

That's when she saw his body swell with mana that he had no hope of containing.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

Michael just looked at her and grinned.

"See this?" he asked.

"It's the essence of God." he told her.

"As long as I have it contained, this world will slowly turn to sludge." he said further.

"With it, I am omnipotent."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Michael had dodged the ball of webbing, and had run to where the crystal with Emelie's power was.

He approached it and grabbed it with his hand, holding onto it tightly.

"Damn it." he cursed.

"I was so close." he said.

"But I refuse to give THIS up. As long as I have it, this dimension will fall."

great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

The next thing she knew, Michael snapped his fingers and the spear he had stolen was in his hands.

"I know where there is more! I will find it! I will harvest it!" he told her.

"My plans cannot be stopped! I will succeed one way or another!" he yelled.

"I can easily take you down with this weapon." he then declared.

She could see it in his eyes. He was becoming more irrational, but he was still focused on his goal. Which made him FAR more dangerous than your average Fallen.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Michael's smile just grew wider.

"It's sparse but still exists in this world." he said.

Which was when she could feel the quartz start to shake a little... as though it were trying to get to the one bit of mana she had... her hell portals.

"You'd better stop handling it soon, or it WILL take what you have." he warned. "Not that I NEED you any longer... or anyone else!" he declared, clearly starting to go insane from his falling.

"Our deal is OFF!" he told her.

"All power is MINE! And I will destroy the MULTIVERSE with it!"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Michael just laughed when she asked about the quartz and extraction.

"I do." he said, as his halo started to chip more and more before her very eyes. And sure enough... little cracks were now starting to form, meaning he was falling even faster now.

And the chaotic hatred he was now exuding was... infectious.

He then waved his hand towards her, and the next thing she knew, a frightening crystal appeared in her hands. And she could tell it was a strong one... one that was thirsting for mana to be sucked into it.

"Ngh... ugh..." Ash grunted, as he started to come to.

"And I'll make sure YOU regret EVER deciding to oppose us, Fyrane." Michael snarled to him.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

"Her mana will be used to create a bridge to Heaven's inner sanctum." Michael replied.

"Once there, I will bide my time... gather my strength... and get my vantage point. My opportunity to take out the sun." he told her.

"And from there, all will collapse." he snickered.

"But. We shall see if her mana is enough." he went on.

"Effectively, I will wring her out like a primate with an orange, and see if she alone will suffice." he added darkly.

great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

"Ah, excellent." Michael said.

"With Kiczys and the Harmony member under the halo's influence, things will move along splendidly." he reasoned.

"...though I admit, wasn't the original plan I had for them..." he mumbled, looking at Kelly.

"Ah, I'll get one of my pawns in. They'll be a necessary sacrifice." he reasoned.

"Just to make sure SHE doesn't try and intervene."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Michael was... quite wary of Anya at the moment, but her offer seemed to cause him to second-guess himself. He scratched at his chin for a moment, before kicking Ash off to the side.

"Very well." he said.

"Do it, then." he told her, handing her the halo and taking a few steps back.

'If she betrays me, I'll deal with her.' he thought.

'I have plenty more pawns to farm halos from.' he reasoned to himself.

'Let's see where this goes.'

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Hmmm." Michael mumbled, pondering the idea.

But just as Ash was close enough to place the halo on Casey's head, he managed it. He found the weak spot that Anya had left, and used ALL his mental energy and will to 'bust out' of his 'prison'.

He then started to crush the halo, some cracking sounds being heard... but unfortunately, Michael was quicker than he expected. A couple of cracks were heard, and Michael was suddenly standing OVER Ash, practically. He had a halo in his hand, and literally slammed it down onto Ash's head, also slamming Ash's face down into the floor.

The halo he'd been holding went flying upwards, and Michael caught it, putting his foot down on Ash's back.

"Good thing I don't ever completely let my guard down." he smirked.

great big one on me.

Ash wouldn't lie, he hated this. He hated that Anya seemed to be sincerely enjoying this, and giving the orders in earnest. However, he also realised that this was a golden opportunity that they'd been given. Once he had the halo, he could crush it and attack Michael afterwards. Perhaps this was what Anya was driving to all along? It was hard to say, she was unreadable for him at the moment.

While his mind raced, his body stepped forward and accepted the halo, before shuffling towards Casey. As he did, Michael raised an eyebrow slightly.

"...tell me." he then said.

"Ananiel..." he addressed her.

"Would you be willing to come with me?" he asked. "Join me on my journey until its inevitable conclusion?" he offered her.

great big one on me.

Michael paused for a moment.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"An interesting prospect." he said. "And you've proven that he IS under your control." he said further.

"Why not." he added with a laugh.

"Go ahead and give the order." he told her, stepping back from Casey and holding the halo out on one of his fingers.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

"There IS a very real chance of that." Michael confirmed.

"However... while the power IS contained with that collar, the power of Anubis DOES flow through her." he said.

"I'm decently sure she'll survive it." he chuckled.

Meanwhile, inside Ash's head, the news was JUST starting to reach him, due to a weird delay caused by Anya's webbing.

And he was NOT liking what he was hearing.

"You may want to stand back, however." Michael warned her.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

"Hm. A few days, at least." Michael responded.

"And I've been... well... asserting dominance every time she tries to argue with me, or try something funny." he chuckled darkly, inspecting Casey some.

"...hm." he mumbled, sighing, and undoing the bindings around her wrists and ankles.

"No need for those." he said. "Now that she's so weak, she will bend to the will of the Fallen a LOT easier." he reasoned.

Anya could then piece together that Michael was planning, as the spinning of the halo stopped.
