Ash caught the bag, recognized the voice of his sister, and then realized he was naked in front of her.

"Ah, geez!" he exclaimed, using the bag to cover himself.

"Wait, what?" he then asked.

"What are you talking about?" he asked her, before looking around, surveying his dilapidated surroundings.

"And when did THIS place go to pot?" he muttered, sighing.

"Whatever." he mumbled, as he started to get dressed.

At first, nothing seemed to happen. There was utter and complete silence... before she started to hear the ancient hum of the technology she had just activated.

The mechanical components whirred and groaned to life as connections were made, circuits completed, and electronic orders issued.

One of the tubes started to light up, as valves opened on the bottom of it, and a light green liquid came rushing out, pooling in some areas of the floor, but mostly leaking through the numerous cracks that surrounded the thing.

Top valves opened up, and cold air was blasted out of them... before the front opened up, revealing the man inside... exactly as he had been placed in the tube.

Lack of clothes and all.

"Ngh..." the man groaned, as he ran a hand through his red and black striped hair.

"...ugh, boy do I feel groggy." he muttered, as he rubbed his eyes.

"Is it finally time, Rene?" he asked, as he yawned loudly.

"He shouldn't." Vincent replied.

"Actually, one moment." he said.

"I'll be right back." he told her.

"Just... wait here for a minute or two." he finished.

With that, he took a step back and disappeared in a small whirlwind right in front of her.

"....well, I know they're looking for someone." Vincent replied.

"Someone that does not fear death." he said.

"They don't assign people to missions that carry a high risk of death, it's volunteer only, but with very good pay." he went on.

"Problem is, not many people choose those missions or assignments." he continued.

"If you like, the director is a friend of mine, and I can see about a transfer for you."

"..............." Vincent wasn't sure what to make of her statements.

"I... see..." he said.

"That's... right, well then..." he mumbled.

"Back to what I was thinking earlier." he said.

"Have you heard of Golden Clover?" he asked her.

Vincent raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?" he asked.

"Is that so." he said.

"What was it that killed you?" he asked her.

Aedan just sighed, before telling him all about it. What it had done to her, how she felt throughout the course of the disease, and her inevitable death.

"....yours is a controversial case study." Vincent commented.

"You did, indeed, pave the way for a more successful cure, but some feel tampering with the cycle of life and death is not worth the results."

Vincent paused for a moment.

"Well... actually, before that, one thing." he said.

"....you just confirmed that you died." he commented. "Yet here you are." he continued.

"All I can think of is reanimation, for the reason for this." he went on.

"I didn't think your father would actually do it..." he then muttered further, crossing his arms over his chest.

"That, too." Vincent sighed.

"He's been staunchly against reanimation for a long time." he said.

"So he's probably taking it all out on you." he mumbled.

"Hmmmmmm..." he then muttered.

"I wonder..." he said, trailing off some, and thinking about something.

Vincent listened to what she had to say, before sighing deeply.

"I see." he replied.

"I... I'm not surprised." he told her.

"Your boss has never liked alchemy, or alchemists." he said.

"Odds are he's taking out his anger due to his beliefs on you." he went on.

"Which isn't fair to you."

Vincent was silent for a moment when he heard that.

"....sent?" he asked.

"Who would send you to do that?" he asked her.

"This was a very dangerous situation... injury would be something that would be generally impossible to avoid." he commented, thinking about it.

"....and sent implies an employer did so." he then went on.

"Where do you work?" he asked.

"....eh?" Vincent muttered.

"It's... not that hard to pronounce..." he said, sounding confused, before he shook his head.

"Right, that can wait." he said.

"What are you doing here?" he asked her.

"I'd... I'd heard that you had... died." he commented.

"Yet here you stand... looking... practically no different from when I last laid eyes on you."

Vincent was silent as she addressed him.

"...wait..." he mumbled.

"Wait, hold on... hold on..." he said.

He looked at her closer, head to toe, before it seemed to click.

"....Reveka!?"

'I'll deal with that.' he sent.

'Prepare for receiving.' he finished.

With that, the man he was pinning disappeared in a small whirlwind. He then took the rod, twirled it up in the air, before it, too, disappeared from sight.

"Now." he said.

"I suppose I should deal with this mess, try to get it back to the way it was..." he mumbled, looking around, before his eyes rested on Aedan.

The man kept his foe pinned, but brought a hand to his temple.

'...I caught him.' he sent mentally to someone.

'Prepare to receive him.' he sent further.

'And, as you suspected, he had the staff of Zeus.' he then added.

'I'll send it as well, after the fugitive.'
