"............yes." Levi replied quietly.

"My body was used as a vessel for some very ancient evil." he said.

"And it was because my own mana and abilities were so strong." he went on.

"I'm just waiting to hear what the final results are of all the scans and crap I've been through." he then said further.

"See if I actually get a clean bill of health, so to speak." he finished.

Levi nodded.

"Yeah." he replied.

"I am." he said.

"I feel a little weak, but... I'm okay." he assured her.

"Everyone keeps wanting to check me over to make sure I'm still 'me'. Or... the 'whole me', they keep saying." he then told her further.

"I think they're finally convinced."

Levi had quickly retreated from the bathroom, and was now sitting in one of the chairs, looking flustered, embarrassed, and ashamed of himself.

"Ah... ah..." he stammered.

"I... I, ah..." he stammered further.

"Y-yeah. I am." he said.

"And sorry!" he quickly apologized. "I shouldn't have done that earlier!"

Levi was silent as he witnessed the blurred figure. And as his find filled in the blanks, his eyes widened and he felt his face turn more and more red.

But he couldn't bring himself to look away.

'....oh, wow...' he thought.

'I shouldn't be looking. This is an invasion of privacy.' he told himself.

'But... but... still... wow...'

"Eh?" he muttered, looking around.

"Is that... a shower?" he asked himself.

"Is someone in here?" he wondered, looking around.

"Or is something wrong with the shower?" he asked himself further.

He then just shrugged, before making his way to the bathroom, poking his head in to see what was going on.

"I... sure?" Levi replied confusedly.

"All right." he said.

"I mean, I feel okay." he told her.

"........really hungry, though." he admitted.

"My stomach feels really empty." he mumbled further.

"....I feel sore." Levi said.

"Sore, tired, and mentally exhausted." he went on.

"Maybe a little... off?" he then said quizzically.

"Hm." Ally's demon commented.

"Well, I'll be." he said.

"Looks like the kid came out in one piece."

"..........." again, Levi was silent.

"I see." he said.

"Um... are... are you okay?" he then asked.

"I... I mean, I... know what... my body... I mean... well, what they..." he went on, before sighing.

"Are you all right?"
Posted in Tapping into The Abyss Posted 6 years ago
".....hm." Levi muttered.

"I guess." he said.

"...where are we?" he then asked her, looking around.

"Looks like a hospital." he commented.

"But... to what hospital would one go to, with injuries such as mine?" he asked her.

"I'd wager mine were... kinda unique."

"........" Levi was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"Like I've been hit by a truck." he told her. "Made of concrete." he said further.

"...................I did some horrible things." he then muttered.

"Didn't I?" he asked, looking at her.

"I... I tried to kill you." he said.

"I ended up killing those two people earlier." he went on, sounding near-tears.

Ash nodded.

"All right." he replied.

-Some time later-

The darkness that was Levi's world disappeared after an unknowable period of time. As the world came into view, he discovered he was laying down in a cot-like bed, staring at a white ceiling.

"...nngh." he grunted.

"Wha...?" he asked, as he attempted to sit up, but found he only had the real strength to hoist himself up on his elbows.

"I know the feeling." Tyson said.

"I can check." Ash told them.

"See if it's anything to worry about." he went on.

"Because there might be some remnants, but there are a lot of factors to take in, regarding whether they should be removed, or if they will dissipate on their own." he said further.

"Dissipate?" Tyson asked.

"If it's small or weak enough, it will dissipate, as you are not proper vessels for The Ancient Ones." Ash explained.
Posted in Tapping into The Abyss Posted 6 years ago
"I didn't know that was possible." Tyson admitted.

"...neither did I." Ash admitted.

"Excuse me?" Ty asked.

"What I just did... call it... 'soul scalpel', I guess... came to me in a burst of inspiration." Ash told them. "I came up with the idea in wishing I could safely tear them away from his soul." he said further.

"...you belong to a very specialized organization, don't you?" Tyson then asked Ash.

"Yes." Ash informed him.

"Anyway, perhaps we should consider heading back to the unit, ourselves?" he then quickly suggested.

A few seconds later, close to 10, Zeke appeared in a column of light.

"Here." Ash told him, handing him Levi.

"The lungs are the big problem, but all his other injuries need tending to." he said further.

Zeke just nodded as he accepted the boy, before he disappeared with the patient.

"...so..." Ty said, not fully regenerated, but enough that he could stand on his own power. "The boy has lost a part of himself, and will never be the same?" he asked.

"Noooooooot necessarily." Ash responded.
