"All right." he said.

"Thanks for listening." he told her.

With that, they ended their conversation, and he hung up the phone.

Meanwhile, Ally's demon alerted her to Levi returning.

"Yo." he said.

"Crazy boy incoming." he told her.

"...all right." Levi replied.

"I'll do that." he told her.

"Hopefully this won't need to be brought up again." he then said.

"Sorry to bug you." he apologized.

"I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing."

"Well, I call them 'meds' for the sake of ease." Levi replied.

"Just... short-hand, if you will." he told her.

"Regardless, that's the best you can come up with? Well, it's better than anything myself or Ally can figure." he went on.

"It's just weird." he said.

"Freaking me out some."

"He would." the demon replied.

"Humans and all." he muttered.

Meanwhile, Levi had gotten ahold of Kiah, and had just finished explaining his new situation.

"So that's it." he said.

"Any ideas what this could be?" he asked her.

"A side effect from my meds?"

"..................hm." the demon muttered, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I've heard this kinda thing before about the whispers and such." he told her.

"Usually means legit cuckoo." he said bluntly.

"But... that gobbledygook comment stumps me." he admitted.

"He shouldn't be able to concoct a language or whatever that he doesn't understand, even on a subconscious level." he went on, bringing his finger to his chin.

"...maybe if I heard what, exactly, this sounded like, I might be able get more info."

"I'll see what Kiah has to say." he told her.

"Or Rocky, maybe." he went on.

"She's been around for a good long while." he reminded her.

"Anyway, yeah, I think I should go and call or text someone." he reiterated, before standing up and grabbing his phone.

"Excuse me a moment." he said as he left the table and started to walk.

As he did, Ally saw him stop a couple of times, and look sharply in a few directions... like he was trying to catch someone talking to him... even though she saw nobody. Nothing.

"I might have to." he replied.

"I need to talk to SOMEONE about this." he said.

"Because, I agree, this doesn't seem right." he told her.

"At ALL." he said further.

"It's starting to freak me out."
Posted in Tapping into The Abyss Posted 6 years ago
"Maybe about... a week and a half?" Levi responded.

"But... they're like... whispers." he said.

"Know what I mean? Like someone's whispering something to me, but whenever I look around, they're not there." he told her.

"And it's weirding me out." he told her.

"I can never understand what they're saying, either." he then said.

"Like... I dunno, sometimes I can make out words, but it mostly sounds like gobbledygook."

"These voices are different." Levi responded.

"They don't sound like the voices I was dealing with before." he told her.

"And I've come to learn the sounds and voices of the reapers." he then went on. "These voices sound NOTHING like them. Like, at ALL." he said further.

"These are nothing like in the past." he went on, shaking his head slightly.

"This feels... new."

Levi jumped a little when she spoke to him.

"Ah!" he exclaimed lightly.

"I..." he stammered.

"I... well..." he stuttered further, before sighing.

"I don't know." he admitted.

"I keep thinking I'm hearing someone talking to me." he told her.

"And... not, like, the usual." he then clarified.

"It sounds like... someone's actually there." he went on. "But there never is."

"You do that." Gregory told her.

"I'll see if I can't remember anything more about this." he said further.

He then sighed, and took a drink of what he had.

"I really hope this is nothing." he told her.

"I'd rather this be me being... paranoid."
Posted in Tapping into The Abyss Posted 6 years ago
"Sometimes." Gregory replied.

"Usually an arcane mage affects active mana." he told her.

"Augments it when it's actively being used and such." he went on.

"That being said, there are incidents where passive mages had their natural abilities increased or fortified by the presence of an arcane mage." he then said.

"Of course... again, depends on whether or not the arcane mage is actively using their power to augment, because any passive effects would tend to be negligible, I would think." he continued, before sighing deeply.

"What I'm saying is that there's too many x-factors here for any sort of definitive or useful answer."

"Both of them should." Gregory responded.

"His friend doesn't know what she is, not fully." he said.

"So the two of them could use some proper learning and control." he went on.

"But yes, him, more necessarily." he agreed.

"Conduits are often driven to insanity and... well... suicide." he lamented.

"He seems too nice for that to be his fate."

Gregory crossed his arms over his chest, and thought for a moment.

"Hm." he muttered.

"I'm not sure." he said.

"I'd have to think about it. Perhaps I've experienced this in the past." he said further.

"But I dunno if this is worthy of bringing to their attention yet." he went on, as he scratched at his chin, trying to recall if he'd ever seen something like this in his past.
