"Rocky?" Levi asked.

"Er... all right." he said.

Vincent then sighed, and shook his head.

"Don't give the poor boy ideas, Racquel." he told Rocky.

"Now, this is a very delicate procedure." he went on.

"I really don't think an explosion would be optimal now."

"Oh, yeah, sure." Vincent replied.

With that, Rocky did so, and Levi's voice came through.

"Um, hello?" he asked.

"You the young man that has my book on Conduits?" Vincent responded.

"I am." Levi answered.

"I'm quite busy right now, and will be for a bit. Would it be acceptable for someone to come to where you are and pick up the book at my behest?" Vincent asked.

"I... suppose so." Levi said. "But... who? How will I know?" he asked.

"Hmmmmmmm..." Vincent mumbled, before looking at Rocky.

"Huh?" Vincent replied.

"No, actually, I'm not!" he called back.

"Your sister needs my help in constructing a very special firework, as her usual device is broken." he told her, as he continued to use his wind mana to keep some components suspended in mid-air.

"I'll be busy for about another hour or so." he went on.

"Is it an emergency?" he then asked.

Levi was silent for a moment, surprised by the energy in the one that had responded.

"Oh, uh, hello." he said.

"I'm... looking for a mister Vincent Remmington." he told the female that answered.

"I have a book of his that needs to be returned." he went on. "About Conduits and their communications and such." he said further.

"How might I go about doing that?" he then asked.

Levi looked at the number that was suspended in the air, before nodding.

"Right." he said.

He grabbed his cell phone, punched in the numbers, and looked at them.

"Huh. Canadian number." he said.

"Glad I have a good long-distance plan." he commented, before hitting the 'call' button.

"....I see." Levi replied, after he had calmed down from the initial shock.

"Well... I mean... whatever you can do, do it." he said.

"I've read it all, and I remember all of it." he went on. "Well... all the important parts, anyway." he continued. "...okay, maybe that was bad wording, but you know what I mean." he clarified further.

"I've gotten out of this what I suspect I should have gotten out of it." he summarized.

"And I DO like to return borrowed property promptly."

"Bye for now." Sharp replied before she left.

He then looked at the thumb drive in his hand, and sighed.

"...interesting development, this is." he mumbled.

-About 2 weeks later-

Levi sighed a little, as he closed the book, and set it down.

"Welp, finished." he muttered to himself.

"And I've retained it all." he said further.

"...question is... how do I get it back to whomever owns it...?' he then wondered, scratching his chin a little.

"Sure thing." Sharp replied.

"Is there anything else?" he asked.

"If not, I am taking my leave for my vacation." he told her.

"Thank you for bringing this to my attention, though." he then said.

"This IS important."

"...I understand." Sharp replied.

"That being said, this is a very delicate situation." he told her.

"Protocol is... hazy and fuzzy at best." he said further.

"But I WILL bring this to her attention." he went on.

"Whatever happens then is HER business."

Sharp was silent for a moment, before his expression changed to that of surprise and shock.

"....arcane." he saaid.

"Are you SURE?" he asked her.

Kiah then handed him a thumb drive with the footage on it, and he checked it on his laptop that was on the desk.

"....this IS arcane." he said.

"Well. Good thing I'm meeting Hollie in about 35 minutes." he then commented.

"I can pass along this info."

About 15 minutes later, she saw someone leave Sharp's office, and make their way back into the hallway.

"All right, I think that'll about do it." she then heard Sharp's voice say over the secretary's phone.

"Actually, Kiah's here to see you. She specifically requested to see you." the secretary responded.

There was then a prolonged moment of silence, before Sharp was heard again.

"....very well." he said.

"As long as this will be quick, send her in."

Illias sighed in response.

"I suppose so." he said.

"She DOES deserve to know this." he admitted.

"Very well." he then said.

"If you're gonna tell him, you may want to do so sooner, rather than later." he suggested.

"I heard he's considering knocking off early today."

".....hm." Illias muttered with a smirk.

"Yeah, she does." he said.

"It's true about her being a rarity." he mumbled further, before pausing.

"But where do we go from here?" he asked her.

"Is this something worthy of bringing up with Sharp?" he asked her further.

"Is this something we should be sticking our noses into?"

He looked at the feed intently... and his troublemaker of a snake slipped out from his head, and got close to Kiah.

Seemed she wanted attention.

And she'd taken a liking to Kiah.

"Hm." the man mumbled.

"Her aura." he said.

"It's... strange."
