Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"...." Vincent just groaned.

"Yeah, this is nowhere near as enjoyable without you to share it with." he grumbled.

"And even less so, now that even MORE distressing news has apparently been revealed." he went on.

He then climbed out of the tub, clearly as unimpressed as she was at the moment.

"So. What has developed NOW?"

"Yeah." Ash responded.

"...sorry about interrupting." he then apologised.

"Just go home and rest." Rowena responded. "And I'll be calling Lindsay to make SURE you're relaxing." she warned.

Ash sulked a little, before disappearing from where he was, leaving her alone.

With distressing news to mull over, as if she didn't have enough on her plate already.

"Eh?" Ash muttered.

"Me?" he asked.

"I'm fine, I-" he started to protest, before his mother just leveled a look at him.

"......." he was then silent, before sighing. Heavily.

"All right, all right." he said.

"I'll go home and rest and stuff." he assured her.

Ash quickly stepped inside and turned around when she closed the door.

"Ah..." he stammered.

"You know how Ashleigh's been feeling... well... shitty as of late?" he asked.

"Yes..." she responded, not liking how this had opened.

"Kelly's sick now." he told her. "And it's worse. A LOT worse." he revealed, before telling her what he knew had happened and such.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Vincent just sighed when she left the room.

"She FINALLY decides to do a little self-care with all this stress happening, and then THIS happens." he growled.

"Can't even enjoy the little things in life right now." he practically spat.

Meanwhile, when she answered the door, she saw her son standing there, and... immediately, he blushed a little.

"Oh..." he stammered.

"Oh, sorry." he apologised.

Vincent shrugged.

"I suppose so." he said... just as the doorbell rang throughout the building.

"...of course." he muttered.

"Well then, we have 3 options." he told Rowena.

"I can get up and answer that, YOU can, or I can message Racquel to answer the door. I DO know she's home." he said.

Vincent looked over towards the phone and sighed as he heard the phone ring... and ring... before it stopped and odds are it went to voicemail. He looked at her, and shook his head.

"You want to check the mail?" he asked.

"My wind can bring the phone over towards you." he chuckled.

"If not, that's fine as well." he then said.

"Depends on if you think it may be important or not."

Vincent stripped down as well, kicking his clothes off to the side, as the two of them entered the water and got comfortable, the jets kicking in and starting to churn the water and minerals within.

"Well, nobody's sure if any of the rules even apply any longer." he admitted. "For all we know, if enough managed to gang up on her, they COULD have done it." he reasoned.

"As for why she agreed... pretty sure she did it for the perks." he then said.

"I mean, Liz is QUITE comfortable with her position right now, and as the successor, Sydney just... well... she's not dying until Liz SAYS she is." he reminded her.

"It's allowed her to be far more adventurous in her guild hunts."

my little jokes on thee...

Vincent just laughed.

"That's true." he said. "Let's get ready and hop in." he told her, as he started to take his shirt off.

"And... well, yes and no, in regards to what's happening." he then said.

"I'll start with a bigger thing that ended fairly well." he told her.

"Sydney was attacked by Fallen." he reported. "However, she fended them off."

As she neared the tub, she could hear that it was running, and the hum of it was already soothing. She stepped into the room it was in, and saw Vincent had just readied the accoutrements for their soak, before he looked over and smiled.

"Just in time." he said.

"Give it a minute, the water'll be warmed up nicely." he told her.

He then sighed quietly, and nodded.

"Here's hoping this helps."

"Bubble bar. Got it." Vincent replied.

"And... I'll compromise. I'll get the cinnamon-esque one into the jacuzzi." he told her.

"As for... snacks and drinks... hm." he then mumbled.

"Oh! There's that lemonade cocktail in the fridge, and the leftover stuffed mushrooms." he said. "Those should be eaten before long." he shrugged.

"Beyond that, whatever you feel like."

Vincent paused for a moment.

"Yes." he said.

"If you need to relax, then the jacuzzi would be perfect." he reasoned.

"And I would very much like to join you." he said further.

"I'll go and start it up right now, actually." he offered.

"Any bath bombs or anything you want in it?"

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

On her way, she ran into her husband... who could tell she looked stressed.

"Hey..." he said to her.

"Are you all right?" he asked, before pausing, and sighing.

"...dumb question." he admitted.

He then stepped out of the way so she could pass him.

"Don't let me stop you from going to do... whatever it is you planned to do." he told her.

"Yeesh." Andrew muttered.

"At least he'll be fine." he reasoned.

"And yeah, I'm good." he assured her. "You head off and get back to work." he said further.

"Sorry to pull you away and such and all that." he continued.

"We should be fine here." he sumarised.

"See you whenever you get back here next."
