Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke shook his head and shrugged.

"I don't know." he said.

"However, my Uncle Michael is gone as well. It's suspected he's... become a Fallen." he told her.

"When he disappeared, the heavenly sword Ascalon went missing as well. And a Harmony member tangled with a Fallen not so long ago... that was using that very same sword." he revealed.

"There's a very good chance that Uncle Michael is attempting a coup of heaven, and... well... to throw this world into nothing but destructive chaos." he continued.

"And you might be a target, because... well, you wield friggin' Excalibur. If they find out, they MAY see it and you as a threat." he then warned her.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke sighed in relief when he heard that.

"...there's a lot to say in regards to this." he told her.

"And because you are the wielder of Excalibur, you deserve to know everything about it." he reasoned. "...or... well... you deserve to know everything I know." he clarified.

"Kelly, Emelie's missing." he then dropped.

"And not in a 'screwed off for an impromptu vacation' sorta way. She's gone. And those in tune with the afterlife rhythm are feeling it."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke quickly made his way over towards her, stopping just short of her.

"No, no, you haven't." he said.

"It's more important than that." he told her.

"...where's Excalibur?" he asked.

"Do you have it here? If not, then where is it?" he asked further.

"Because something seriously huge is happening."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

He stepped inside and looked at the snake again, before looking at the young woman.

"Thanks... Lily, right?" he said.

"Right." she responded.

"Cool. Anyway, thanks for... uh... stopping that from getting too far, too." he added.

With that, he made his way to the door she'd gestured to, and ascended the stairs, stopping at the door for a moment, opening it quickly.

"Kelly?" he said as he opened it.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

The nephilim was stunned for a moment, taken aback by the sheer size of the reptile, before shaking his head.

"...wow." he muttered.

"I admit, I didn't expect THAT." he said.

"I assume it's... quite protective of you?" he then asked. "I wasn't being threatening or anything." he reasoned, before pausing. "At least... I don't THINK I was being threatening..." he clarified.

"Was I?" he asked.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke looked to the woman that answered, and heaved a small breath of relief at whatever it was relaxing its grip on him.

"Yeah. I am." he confirmed.

"Um... what was THAT?" he asked her.

"It felt like a large snake, but... I don't SEE anything." he muttered.

He was then silent, as he tried his best to be hyper-aware of his surroundings. He knew what he'd felt. And she had told something to stop.

But what? Was it a snake? And where WAS it?

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"That's a good point." Zeke replied. "But I cannot afford to take any chances." he sighed.

"Regardless, I need to go and see Kelly. Take care." he told her.

"You as well." Casey responded.

With that, Zeke took a few steps back and disappeared from where he was, appearing close to the draydin's house in a alley that was nearby. He quickly raced out of the alley and made his way to the front door.

He was about to start pounding on the door... when he recalled the tempers that the draydins were known to have, and realised that they would probably not take to well to incessant and loud banging.

So he forced himself to regain a little of his composure, and rang the doorbell.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke nodded in response.

"Yeah, of course." he said.

"Just... try and stay safe, and stay wary." he told her.

"Those associated with the Harmony as well will be targets for sure." he reasoned.

"Regardless, yeah, I need to tell Kelly that some serious shit's going down, and she'll need to be extra vigilant." he summarised.

"...sorry if I was being a nuisance earlier with the knocking, too." he then apologised.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke bit his lip, and sighed.

"Emelie's missing." he said, figuring she had a right to know the full truth.

"And my Uncle Michael is gone. Believed to have become a Fallen." he went on. "To make things worse, the Harmony know that something is off, meaning Emelie hasn't just messed off for an impromptu vacation." he continued.

"Oh, and when Michael disappeared, he took the heavenly sword Ascalon with him. And a Harmony member had a battle with a Fallen... that was using that blade." he told her further.

"So your description is fairly accurate." he went on.

"Those associated with the archangels may very well be in danger, and Kelly, as the wielder of Excalibur, might very well be a target for the Fallen. I am to protect her and make her aware of that." he then finished.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"...ah, right." Zeke said. "She IS bad for that..." he recalled.

"That makes sense." he said further.

"Then I need to beat feet to the draydin's home." he told her.

"Again, sorry to have bothered you like this, but... well, as I said, this is pretty urgent." he said further, before pausing and remembering that Casey was a necromancer, and thus in tune with the rhythm of the afterlife.

"...have YOU been feeling a sense of unease and imbalance as of late?" he then inquired.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke looked ready to bolt right then and there, but stopped himself from doing so.

"Sorry, Mrs..." he started to say, before pausing. "...Kiczys...? Fyrane...?" he mumbled confusedly.

Casey just sighed.

"Let's make it simple. How about just 'Casey'?" the woman suggested.

"Right, sorry." Zeke apologised.

"And I'm hunting her down, myself." he said. "There's something she needs to URGENTLY know. And... well, I mean, she should know this about a half-hour ago." he stated.

"If she's with Lucas, is there a reason she's not answering her phone?" he asked her... before pausing, his face turning slightly red.

"...besides the potential obvious one..." he mumbled sheepishly.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Damn it!" he cursed, shoving the phone into his pocket. He then disappeared from where he was, appearing in the Fyrane's backyard. He looked around, seeing nobody there, before marching up to the back door.

And once there, he started pounding on it.

"KELLY!" he shouted.

"KELLY, YOU IN THERE?" he yelled further.

He was trying his best to keep his imagination under control, but... sadly, it started to fill his mind with horrible thoughts. She'd already been caught. She was injured. She was dead. Alone. Tortured by the Fallen.

And he started to get more frantic with his knocking.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke reached forward and gently took her hands in his own.

"I promise." he said.

The two then left the office, and she continued on her way, while HE took out his phone.

He then dialed Kelly's number, and waited.

"Come on, come on, pick up." he muttered. He was a little impatient right now, but it was understandable.

If she didn't answer, he was going to the Fyrane manor himself to FIND her.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke nodded.

"Got it." he said.

"Bi-hourly living check-ins!" he said further with a salute.

"Got it, Cap'n!' he told her.

To some that would be seen as sarcasm. She knew this was a little bit of levity to try and ease even a LITTLE of the tension.

"If you don't hear from me every 2 hours, call. If you get no answer... then I'm gone." he finished, being deadly serious now.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
