Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke chuckled in response.

"Got it." he said.

He then disappeared from where he was, just as Lucas came back.

"He just leave?" he asked.

"Yeah." Kelly responded.

"All right. Anyway, my parents said it's cool." he told her.

"...and Mom said she'd love to eviscerate a Fallen. Like... she had creepy glee in her tone when she said it." he then added.

great big one on me.

"I can't answer 'yes' truthfully." Zeke told her.

"And I won't lie. Not to you. Not about THIS." he said further.

"I'm sorry." he apologised.

"And yes, I should make sure things are all right with others." he agreed.

"Kelly?" he then addressed her, looking over.

"Don't die."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke didn't answer right away. He walked over to the edge of the roof, and stared into the horison.

"...I don't know." he said.

"I wish I could give you a definite answer. But I can't." he told her.

"But the realms WILL unite against this." he promised.

"This threatens all of existence if it's what we think it is. And NOBODY is just going to let that happen."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"...dunno." Zeke admitted.

"I'm fine right now. Not sure if I could take on a gang of Fallen if they went after me." he said.

"But I'm fine at the moment." he said further.

"Just... keep your wits about you." he told her.

"We don't know when they'll strike next, or HOW."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke just shrugged.

"Not many people know what Excalibur's real potential and capabilities are." he said.

"I can only think of one, and... well... she's missing." he lamented,

"But it makes sense it would call out if you were in real danger." he then reasoned, shaking his head and looking skyward.

"...is it just me, or does the sky look darker?" he asked, causing Kelly to look up as well.

"...no?" she responded. "Looks cloudy, but that's it." she commented.

"Then the archangel in me must be seeing something others aren't. Almost like I can see the coming storm..." Zeke mumbled in response.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke raised an eyebrow when he saw that, and let out a low whistle.

"Impressive." he said.

"Yeah, you've got a good handle on it." he told her.

"...let's hope you never have to properly defend yourself with it." he then said further.

"But let me know if you feel like you're in danger." he continued.

"I'll arrive to back you up."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Lucas was stunned at the dump of info, before snapping back to reality.

"Ah, got it." he said.

"I'll... I'll go do that now." he told her, before racing down the steps again.

Zeke watched him go, and then looked at Kelly once more.

"That being said, I really hope you've been training on your own." he told her.

"And I mean REALLY keeping up on it."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

"The planet?" Lucas asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I... well..." he started to say, before pausing.

"I haven't checked as of late..." he admitted, before going to the small garden they had on the roof and touching one of the plants... and then recoiling almost immediately.

"HOLY-!" he exclaimed.

"What the HELL is this imbalance!?"

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"At least you're okay." Zeke said.

"That's what I was concerned about." he told her, as Lucas suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs.

"Eh?" he muttered.

"What's going on here? Zeke?" he asked.

"Is something wrong?" he asked further.

Zeke just sighed and looked at Kelly.

"Tell him as much or as little as you feel he needs."

my little jokes on thee...

"I did have to come out here." Zeke said.

"I tried calling you. Several times." he told her.

"You didn't answer." he said further.

"So I went to your home and pounded on the door until your Aunt answered, and told me you were HERE." he continued. "Then, after warning her about this situation, she directed me here, so I came here." he went on.

"...where I rang the bell and was promptly attacked by a snake, until Lily calmed it down and directed me up here." he then finished.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"I don't know as far as your aunt goes." Zeke admitted. "Fallen are... weird." he muttered. "But with Emelie gone, the balance has been thrown into whack. WHo even knows if the rules regarding those things even APPLY anymore?" he asked rhetorically.

"As for where it would be better for you... that is a good question." he then said.

"Hunters are strong, but Fallen... especially if they are banding together... will be something else entirely." he continued. "I don't know exactly how much of a chance they'll stand." he sighed.

"Draydins, on the other hand, are nature spites. And vicious, at that." he reasoned.

"Part of me really wants to say that their unpredictable nature, and their penchant for violence will be more of a deterrent, should any Fallen find out where you are." he concluded.

Zeke then realised that there was a good chance he interrupted Casey caring for Ash, and immediately felt a little guilty. However, he pushed that out of his head for now, and looked at Kelly.

"We need to make sure you can defend yourself." he told her.

"And you also need to lay low." he went on.

"The best case scenario is that they ignore you and you fly under their radar." he said. "The worst case is a coordinated attack on you." he said further.

"But we need to maximise your chances of survival."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke was silent again for a moment, and then let out a heavy breath.

"Okay, okay." he said.

"I'll concede THAT." he told her.

"Your father was the one that tangled with the Fallen." he admitted.

"...obviously he survived." he then added.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Zeke froze when he realised what he had revealed.

"Ah, no. No, nothing." he said.

"It's... no, it's nothing." he told her.

"An afterlife organisation. That's all." he insisted.

"Your aunt has nothing to do with this. Pretty sure." he went on.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
