Ty waved to her, but remained silent, as he sensed that Sharp had some explaining to do.
"...long ago, a human freed me." he said.
"She showed me that there is good in this world. She wished mt free, with no thoughts of repayment, and she refused to make any wishes I would legitimately grant." he went on.
"She just wanted to... be with me. And we were together until she was... taken from me." he sighed.
"And I will try my best to find a way to help you break free of the shackles tying you to that box." he finished. But before she could respond, Ty spoke.
"Excuse me." he said.
"You are like Hal? A djinn?" he asked.
Allee just nodded.
".....well, if you need someone to wish her free, I'M right here." Ty then commented.

"..........." Hal was silent for a moment, before sighing.
"Allee..." he said.
"I... I'm free." he told her.
"I was freed from my bottle a long time ago." he said to her as they reached his secretary's office.
"It's partially why I brought you here." he told her further, stepping inside his own office, where Tyson was sitting at his desk.
"Ah! Back, finally." he commented.

Hal was silent as she said what she did, and Jake could see a moment of sadness in his expression.
"...right." her fellow djinn said.
"Come on." he told her.
With that, the two of them left, and started heading down the hallway.
"Why?" he asked her.
"Why should you really head out?"

"I aim for the stars." Hal replied.
"Sometimes... I actually make it." he said.
"Ah, all right." Jake said to her.
"Name's Jake." he told her, lowering his paper and letting her see his reptilian eyes.
"Best front door guard we've ever had." Hal told Allee.

Hal just nodded, and the two of them stepped through the front door, using Hal's special key.
Once they did, she heard a 'sst' sound.
"Huh." Jake muttered.
"Interesting." he said.
"She smells like YOU, boss." he commented.
"New squeeze?" he then asked.
"Har, har." Sharp replied.
"Cheating on Hollie is a VERY good way to end up wishing I was dead." he said.
"True. The wrath of a Remmington is fearsome." Jake agreed.

"Quite big." Hal responded.
"Enough for a number of office spaces, an entire R&D department, plenty of dorms, a cafeteria, a fully-stocked workout area, complete with Olympic-size swimming pool..." he listed off.
"We're paid well to keep what is unknown at bay." he said.
"Basically, I can sum up the reason for the Unit's existence in one sentence." he went on.
"You might not believe in the boogeyman, but the problem is, he believes in you."

"Then there shouldn't be any issues." Hal responded.
The rest of the drive was spent making chit-chat and small talk, stopping a couple of times for food and drinks. Eventually, they pulled up to an impressive office-like building.
"Well, we're here." he said, as they pulled into the underground parking lot.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
"Better than earlier, at least, I would hope."

"Just one." Hal replied.
"Don't touch Agent Vierayen." he told her.
"She has the unfortunate ability to empathize with the pain and suffering of whomever it is that touches her." he said.
"Which, while handy, is a curse when there's a lot for her to 'catch up on'..." he mumbled.
"Beyond that, everyone's pretty all right there." he said.
"Just remember that everyone there is family, and not to judge them. They'll reciprocate in kind."

"Not everyone knows." Sharp responded.
"But that's because not everyone asks." he shrugged.
"Those that ask, I tell. And they've always been fine with it." he told her.
"The Unit is a place of acceptance." he went on, pausing for a moment.
"We have demons, nephilims, a gorgon, a zombie, a lizard-folk, you name it." he listed off.
"So you have no need to fear people disliking you for what you are." he assured her.
"They'll dislike you for your personality." he added with a smirk, poking a little fun at her, like when they did before they parted ways so long ago.

Hal nodded.
"Yeah." he replied. "I do." he told her.
"I've been in charge for a while." he said.
"Kept it running smoothly for... well... yeah, a good long while." he chuckled.
"Regardless, you'll be safe at the Unit." he assured her.
"I promise you that."

"Strange occurrences." Hal replied.
"Weird lights. Things appearing out of nowhere. Strange disappearances." he said.
"People were bringing these things up." he went on.
"I'm guessing he got careless with wishes and such." he sighed.
"Regardless, my Unit was sent in to investigate, so I decided to take this mission, myself."

"I see..." Sharp muttered.
"Well... at least you're not there, now." he told her.
"He didn't deserve to have you." he reasoned.
"I'll take you back to where I work." he then said.
"We can get you sorted there." he told her further, before gesturing to the back seat.
"Your box is back there."

Sharp raised an eyebrow, before laughing heartily.
"Hah! Amazing." he said.
"And golden sand?" he asked. "You always DID have a knack for flare." he commented.
"At any rate... it's been a long time, Allee." he then said.
"TOO long." he said further.
"How long have you been stuck with him?"

"........" Sharp was silent as he heard what she said, and saw the blood in her hair.
"Right..." he mumbled.
He then grabbed his cell phone and called an ambulance to the place she had been, before driving off, leaving the house... and the man within... behind.
"Let's get you out of here." he said.
"Make it seem like you were never here at all." he commented further.
"That work for you?" he asked.
"Right..." he mumbled.
