Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Hal smiled at her.

"I'm glad YOU'LL be okay, too." he told her.

"You're one of the supporting pillars of this place now, I swear." he said.

He then just sighed, and shook his head.

"...now to worry about Lunet..."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Hal looked over towards her and sighed.

"Sorry about that." he apologised.

"You want to lay here on the bed?" he asked.

"Or would moving you be a bit much?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Djinn mana is potent." Hal replied.

"it can intoxicate those not used to it." he said.

"And therein lies the danger." he sighed.

"Anyway, already I'm getting my strength back." he finished, slowly sitting up.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Not to me." Hal replied.

"But I've seen it happen a scant few times in my life." he said.

"Your recovery time could be shorter, could be longer." he went on.

"5 minutes was an educated guess." he admitted.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Hal just laid on the bed.

"Yeah, a djinn's mana withdrawal is a lot more intense." he said.

"But you'll be ok." he told her.

"Just give it about 5 minutes or so."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Yeah." Hal replied.

"I wish my djinn mana was back inside my body, where it belongs." he then said.

Arryn clapped her hands, and the transfer was quick.

Very quick.

So much so, Hal fell back onto the bed, and Arryn fell to her knees.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

They watched her go and Hal looked at Arryn.

"I'm glad it sought you out." he said.

"Would have driven anyone else crazy." he told her.

"And if left alone it would have dissipated."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Please do." Hal said.

"I owe her a personal thanks." he then said.

"But it seems nobody else knows about me." he told Arryn.

"So that's good."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

He came out of the information-induced 'trance' and held his head.

"Ah!" he exclaimed.

"....oh, crap." he mumbled.

"All right, for starters, there's nothing we need to worry about in terms of people knowing what I am." he stated. "It seems that there was a relic in play that is meant to protect against djinn mana, but it was intended to protect from Evona." he reported.

"...and we need to check in on Officer Vierayen." he then said.

"See if she's all right, needs medical attention, and... well... I should speak with her."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Hal paused for a moment, thinking about it.

"...all right." he then said.

"Fair play." he told her, before taking a small breath.

"I wish to know why my own mana was rebounded back to me when that wish was made, and to know if it means that it's something that I need to personally be concerned about." he stated.

He figured that was enough. Depending on how much control Arryn had on the mana, there was a chance he might get a little more info than he had wished for, but it was a risk he was willing to take.

He needed to know if someone knew about him, that shouldn't.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Damn it." Hal cursed.

"And there's nothing I can do!" he exclaimed, before pausing.

"Ah... well, at the moment, that's an obvious statement. But it seems that whatever is going on, it's protected against djinn mana." he continued. "Which is alarming." he said further.

"Do they know about ME?" he asked.

"Is this coincidence? What needs to happen NOW?" he asked further.

"...besides making it so that I don't fade from existence, and Arryn is overwhelmed with djinn mana." he added.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Hal just smirked as they had their back-and-forth, before shaking his head.

"Now tell me." he said.

"I've only just woken up recently." he reminded them.

"What's happened to Lunet?" he asked.

"Was she found? Is she all right? What the HELL happened, overall?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Hal just sighed as he sat at the edge of the bed, looking at Arryn, who had been summoned there by Angela.

"...so." he said.

"How are you faring?" he asked.

"It's probably not the best thing in the world to have all that mana." he continued. "But you seem to still have your composure." he went on.

"..." he was then silent, looking at his hands.

"And I can feel my own clock ticking down..."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

He just chuckled lightly.

"The pit's effect will fade soon." he said.

"Go to her." he told Anya.

"She will not want to be alone right now." he continued.

He then stepped backwards, and into another tear in the night, and was gone.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
