Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"We shall." Rene responded.

Lunet was taken to an operating room, and once she was set up and confirmed she was ready, she felt the mask over her mouth and nose, and she fell into a very deep sleep... where she was greeted by a woman that fit the description of Leo's boss, from what he'd said. They talked for an unknown amount of time, before the woman told her it was time for her to go.

And the next thing she knew, she felt herself laying down in a bed, feeling groggy and a little... weird.

"Leo, you ready for this?" Rene asked.

"I am." Leo responded.

"And you're sure it'll work?" Rene asked further.

"I am." Leo confirmed.

"All right then." Rene said. "I've got the team set up, and we'll be ready to do this very soon." he told them.

"Agent King, feel free to wait... wherever you'd like." he then said to Ty.

Ty nodded, before placing a hand on Lunet's shoulder.

"Good luck." he said to her.

"Let's go." Ty said.

"Right." Leo commented.

With that, they grabbed what they needed, locked the place up, and Leo teleported them to the incoming reception area of the hospital, where Rene was waiting for them.

"Hello again." he greeted them.

"...so this is it, Lunet." he said to the girl.

"Sharp is the one that pretty much insisted." Ty responded.

"Yeah... said that there WAS a correct decision, and when I told him what I was planning, he pretty much said I chose correctly." he went on.

Leo just laughed at that.

"Fair." he said.

"And yeah, I have a bag ready." Ty told Lunet.

"Been ready for a week now."

"..." Leo was silent, before shaking his head.

"I'll bet." he said.

"Has he said anything about coming with you?" he asked.

"He keeps flip-flopping back and forth, saying he should be there for me, but then saying if it would even matter." Lunet responded.

It was at that point that Ty stepped up.

"Actually, if nothing else, I want to be there just in case. I know I can't help, or won't be able to do anything, but I wouldn't feel right being far away while she's undergoing this." he reasoned.

"Ah." Leo responded.

"In Canada, at one of the hospitals that Rene's worked at before." he told her.

"They are known for experimental surgeries. LEGAL ones." he stressed. "Basically, they are there for if someone or their family is desperate for a solution to a health problem, or feel current treatments will fail them." he explained.

"So it'll be there." he said.

"Same city that Rene lives in, and is a smaller area, but still one of the most modern mage hospitals available."

There was a knock on the door and Ty answered. A minute or so later, Leo stepped into the room.

"Hi." he greeted her.

"I'm here." he said.

"And Rene and I are are ready as we'll ever be." he told her.

"Are you?" he asked.

my little jokes on thee...

Ty laughed a little when she said that.

"Smooth." he told her.

"Anyway, your hair looks amazing." he said.

"I think we'll need to make Rowena your go-to for hair styling." he reasoned.

"Anyway, you all right?" he asked.

"Got your bearings and such?"

Ty accepted the bag and looked inside it.

"...admit, didn't think you'd be returning with FOOD..." he said.

"But a problem!? Heavens no! It's the opposite of a problem!" he then quickly told her.

"Lunet, your hair looks AMAZING." he continued.

"...seems I really WAS butchering it..." he mumbled.

"Seriously, Lunet, it looks wonderful." he assured her.

After a few seconds, she heard quick footsteps, and then heard the door open to her right.

"Lunet!?" he exclaimed.

"What hap-" he started to ask, before stopping suddenly.

"...wow." he mumbled.

"You look like a whole new girl." he commented. "Rowena really did an amazing job." he said further.

"Anyway, are you okay?"

"Well... all right then." Lindsay responded, as Ash returned with... a generous amount of food, packed away in several takeaway containers that he'd had piled up, and was wondering what he'd do with. They were all placed in a large reusable grocery bag, and he handed the bag to her.

"Everything's labelled as to what it is." he told her.

"Have Ty read them out to you when you get back." he said. "...don't have any braille lids..." he mumbled.

"Anyway, enjoy the food." he chuckled.

Lindsay paused again.

"Clearly." he said.

"But you get your point across. Very well, too." he told her.

"So... no worries in that sense." he chuckled.

"Still. I hope you get a lot more friends in the future."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Lindsay seemed to be stunned for a moment.

"....a-ah." he stated.

"Well... oh! Dr. Edward's daughter!" he recalled.

"I've met her a few times, and you know what? You're right on the money." he told her.

"She IS awesome." he chuckled.

"If you're going to have a single friend, she is definitely a quality one to have."

my little jokes on thee...

Lindsay smiled and nodded, before pausing.

"...uh..." he stammered.

"But... you DO have friends NOW... right?" he asked.

"Your phrasing makes it sound like you have no friends right now." he reasoned.

"Is that... what you meant?"
