Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Hm." Nicolas mumbled.

"Go ahead." he shrugged. "Try it." he told her.

"I'd like to see it happen." he went on.

He then leaned against the closest wall, and folded his arms over his chest.

"Oh, and should you succeed, yes, that WOULD be a heck of a deterrent."

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Another deity figured that Pandora had suffered enough with the constant knowledge of the whole box thing, and that Zeus was being kind of a dick, so they offered Pandora a solution. Now, she's free of the guilt she once felt, and isn't burdened by the knowledge of the box." he continued.

"Or... wasn't." he then mumbled. "Can't speak for the guilt, she may have moved past it, but Pandora now has the chance to live her life in peace, but still be around if need be." he stated.

"Also, more difficult to break?" he asked.

"All right, you've intrigued me." he admitted.

"That's something I'd like to see."

my little jokes on thee...

"I have no talent for this." Nicolas responded.

"I was never... given it? I guess?" he shrugged.

"Look, I'm Prometheus. My existence is to hold onto that box, stop it from being opened, and seek out Pandora should it be opened." he sighed. "That is my life." he said.

"...I assume fallen angels are an Achille's heel of yours then?" Ilias asked.

"When they double-team and ambush me, yes." Nicolas responded.

"Regardless, I don't know how to cast, don't know alchemy, my mana is violently destructive when it goes active... I'm not meant to save the world, I'm meant to protect it and then aid those who CAN, when I fail that duty." he told them. "...pretty much until I die or get ejected from my position." he said.

"Ejected?" Cain asked. "You can be fired?" he asked further.

"In theory." Nicolas replied. "It's... not come up. Death has always been what causes the title and job of 'Prometheus' to shift." he admitted.

"The materials have to be the same." Nicolas replied.

"You don't have to use JUST the remnants, but you need to use the same kind of material AS the remnants." he stated.

"Makes sense." Cain replied.

"SHE can guide you through it." Nicolas then told them, gesturing to Pandora.

"And you?" Cain asked.

"Stay out of the way and be useless." Nicolas shrugged.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Yeah." Cain responded.

The two then quickly cleaned up what needed to be cleaned, before heading to the lab that Kiah had mentioned, stepping inside and seeing Jane there as well... alongside a new person.

But their attention was immediately on the box.

"...you're kidding." Cain mumbled.

"Perceptive one." Nicolas commented.

"Got it." Cain responded before Kiah left. He then looked to his mother, a hopeful look in his eyes. With some confusion, too.

"I admit, I'm... quite confused as to what this could be." he said.

"I have suspicions, but they can't be right." he went on.

"...can they...?" he wondered.

"But anyway, let's clean up." he then said, getting to his feet, Aedan seeing him more energetic than he'd been in a while. Ever since Lunet was brought to the medical bay.

Cain looked over towards Kiah when she said all that, and raised an eyebrow.

"...a lock and key... that will save the world." he said.

"I get the feeling you mean that literally." he commented. "And that it's directly correlated to the... massive pulse of mana I felt earlier, and this ominous feeling I have." he went on.

He then just sighed, and shook his head.

"Well, if it saves Lunet... then I'll do anything."

Ilias thought for a moment.

"Alchemy and mana..." he mumbled.

"Should we get Cain and Aedan in here?" he asked Kiah.

"We're good at this stuff, but they're the masters of legit alchemy." he reasoned.

"You'll need the best you can find." Nicolas told them.

"This will be a VERY precise and fiddly process, I can tell you THAT much."

"Don't think to hard about it." Nicolas said.

"Just don't question it. Please." he stated.

"Oh.... kaaaay." Ilias replied, as the molds were taken out, and he and Kiah looked in the bags.

"Geez, these things were demolished." he muttered.

"They seem fascinating already, though."

"What she said." Nicolas confirmed.

"...will she be okay?" Ilias asked.

"Depends on her will, and her true personality." Nicolas shrugged.

He then sighed, and looked at Pandora.

"Well... time for the molds." he said.

"Where are they?" Ilias asked.

Nicolas just opened the box, and they saw them in there.

'...and the fallen angels couldn't take them...?' Ilias wondered, raising an eyebrow.

They all stepped into the room, and made their way to the large centre table. Once there, Nicolas opened the backpack and pulled the box out of it, allowing them all to see that it just wouldn't shut. He even pushed down on the lid, but it seemed like some force was keeping it even just slightly ajar.

"The backpack is meant to mask and subdue the natural slight aura it has, even when locked." he explained.

He then brought out the small cloth bags, and dropped them onto the table as well.

"And those are the lock and key." he said.

"...yikes." Ilias mumbled.

"Also, that box is... unnerving and frightening." he commented. "It's sending chills up and down my spine."

Ilias looked at Prometheus and Pandora, before following Kiah, with the other 2 following the scientists. They made their way to the back area, where they passed Aedan and Cain in one of the rooms, with Cain looking... very stressed and worried.

"...let's hope we can do this." Ilias said quietly.

"There's people's lives at stake, both globally and locally." he mumbled.

"Indeed." Nicolas responded.

"And we are on an ever-shrinking deadline."

"...high security." Ilias commented.

"Has to be." Nicolas replied.

"Now, are we through havin' a chin-wag?" he asked them.

"Ah, right." Ilias said.

"Kiah, where would you prefer to do this?" he asked the Fyrane.

"We can work anywhere." Nicolas told her.

"So pick a place you feel the most comfortable doing work that will literally save the world."

"I do." Nicolas responded.

"I'm surprised the fallen angels didn't take them." Ilias commented.

"..." Nicolas was silent for a moment, before clearing his throat. "Ah... well, short answer is, they can't." he told them.

"Do we have time for a long answer?" Ilias inquired hesitantly.

"It'll all be explained when you GET the molds." Nicolas told them. "But it requires Pandora." he stated.

"That explains more than enough." Ilias then said. "At least, why they couldn't take them." he added.
