"Oh, terribly!" Lindsay replied with a dramatic flourish.

"You know how lonely I get when we miss our fortnightly torrid extramarital affair!" he exclaimed.

"It bothers me SO!" he then declared.

"....." Darrell was silent, unsure as to what to make of all this.

"Relax, I'm kidding." Lindsay assured him.

"Welcome, Darrell." he then greeted him.

"Hey." Darrell replied.

"Sure thing!" Darrell exclaimed, letting loose a wild howl of excitement from the dive.

"HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLL YEEEEEEEEAH!" he screamed out.

The sun was just starting to rise, with Lindsay smiling at it.

"Beautiful as always" he said to himself.

"Guess I should..." he started to say further, before he caught something out of the corner of his eye.

"Well, there they are." he commented.

He then raised his arm, pointed a finger to the sky, and sent a small red fireball up into the air, almost like a signal flare for what he saw.

Darrell chuckled as well.

"Really." he said.

"Well, I'll be another without." he told her.

"So there's that." he said further.

"And a while ride, eh?" he asked.

"Sweet!" he exclaimed.

"Then ONWARD!"

Darrell just chuckled in response.

"Heh. Fair enough." he said.

"I'm looking forward to it." he told her.

"This is rather exciting for me." he went on.

"I'm eager to see what happens when we get there." he continued.

"See what life has in store for me now."

Darrell held onto her tightly, and sighed as they flew.

"Fair enough." he said.

"I suppose I can understand that." he told her.

"...." he was then silent, before looking ahead, at what they were flying to.

"...I'm nervous." he admitted.

"I... this is the first time I'll be out and away from my parents." he said further.

Darrell nodded and climbed onto her back again.

"Ready." he said, clutching the coin as they took off.

"You say maybe we'll make it back before sunrise." he then said.

"What if we don't?" he asked.

"Are we going to stop somewhere for the night?" he asked her.

"Or are you just going to keep flying until we DO make it back, regardless of hour?"

"......" he was silent with a look that seemed to say 'you're pranking me, right?", but did as she suggested.

And found himself pleasantly surprised.

"Woah!" he said.

"This IS just how you said!" he commented.

"Wow!" he went on, climbing out of the cloud.

"...wait..." he then said.

"Hold on, this stuff is used for pillows and mattresses... AND you can eat it?" he asked.

"Holy crap, that's versatile." he commented.

"....." Darrell was silent for a moment as she said that.

"Ah, yeah." he said.

"Yeah, that's a good point." he admitted, sitting up so that just his head popped out from the cloud.

"....how long we staying here?" he asked.

"What kinda breaks you usually take, length-wise?" he reiterated.

"Because I think this cloud IS rumblin'..."

"...heh." Darrell chuckled.

"That is awesome." he said.

"Seriously. That is just plain awesome." he told her.

"Sounds like a heavenly night's sleep." he mumbled.

"And this cloud smells so good."{/b] he then murmured.

[b]"it smells... soothing." he said, in a very odd statement... but not for him.

Darrell smirked when he heard that.

He then spread his arms out... and let his body fall backwards.

He hit the cloud with a 'poof', and sank into it.

And instantly, he felt the most comfortable he'd been in a while.

"Oh, man!" he said aloud.

"You were right! This IS super-comfy!" he told her.

"I feel like I could just... sleep forever in here..." he commented further, unaware that that was a rare risk for this sort of thing.

Darrell was silent as he stepped on the surprisingly solid cloud, being VERY careful of his footing, before looking at her.

"Ah, right." he said.

"Right, yeah, that makes sense." he admitted.

"So...this is walking on a cloud, huh?" he asked.

"How... how solid is it?" he asked her further.

"Because... I really REALLY want to just fall back onto it." he admitted. "But I don't know if that will cause me to fall through it." he said further.

"Should I refrain from doing so?"

Darrell then looked around as they gained altitude, and he was amazed at what he saw.

"Woooooah." he muttered.

"Everything looks so small..." he said.

"It's unreal..." he went on.

"This... is... so... COOL!" he then told Ashleigh.

"Seriously, this is a hell of a rush!" he added.

Darrell was speechless as they ascended, unsure as to how to put it into words.

It was exhilarating, but frightening at the same time.

He was so taken in by it all, he almost missed what Ashleigh had said, and what she offered him.

He tried to say something, but soon felt her prediction coming true; he WAS starting to have a hard time breathing.

He quickly snatched the coin up from above her palm, which seemed to quickly alleviate the issue.

"Oh, wow." he said.

"MUCH better!" he told her.

"......" Darrell was silent, before nodding.

"Right." he said.

He then went over towards her and climbed up onto her back... trying VERY hard not to accidentally touch her chest.

And she could tell.

He might have been mature, and an older teen, but he was still technically a teenager.

"I'm ready." he told her.
