"Yeah, sure." Ash responded, as Kitt got closer.

When she was close enough, he dropped it into her mouth, and looked at Casey.

"You can carry out the bowls of toppings." he told her.

"As well as the pitchers for the drinks." he added.

"I'll bring out the bulk of the food." he went on.

He then sighed and looked at Kitt.

"So she was being weird at Darrell still, huh?" he asked, shaking his head.

"Her loss!" Evan exclaimed.

"She'll miss out on a heckuva good breakfast!" he declared.

Ash then pulled a plastic container out of the fridge, and took out a slab of fish from it.

"All right." he said.

"Time to bribe the kitty." he muttered.

He then whistled towards Kitt, and let the fish hang from his hand, close to the floor.

This also seemed to attract Evan's attention as well.

Ash was silent, before sighing as well.

"Ugh, hate when you have to bribe that damn feline." he muttered.

"Yeah, I'll grab a piece of it." he told her, making his way to the fridge.

"I think the only one not up is Kelly." he then commented.

"Though Ashleigh'll see to it that she IS very soon." he chuckled.

"Oh, and your daughter left for a full day of training at the crack of dawn." he then added.

Evan and Kitt were rolling around on the floor, but stopped abruptly when Casey shouted out to them.

"....." Evan was silent, before getting to his feet and brushing himself off.

"Sorry..." he apologised.

"All right then!" Ash called out.

"Everyone take a seat!" he continued.

"Breakfast is done!" he declared further.

Kitt just shot a glare towards Darrell, before making her way to the dinner table and laying down beneath it.

"Ah... r-right." Darrell stammered.

He then stepped out of the room, and the two of them started to walk... with Darrell sniffing the air.

"Wow." he said.

"This smells... well... heavenly." he commented.

"I don't think I've ever smelled anything quite THIS good, THIS early in the morning." he went on.

"Seriously. This already smells amazing." he said further, as they heard some tumbling and fumbling about downstairs.

Casey knew what it was. Evan and Kitt were roughhousing.

"JUST a woman who spends too much time arting!?" Darrell sputtered.

"You're one of THE most influential-!" he started to gush, before pausing and stopping himself.

He then cleared his throat, calmed himself, and sighed.

"I... heh, this is... pretty damn cool." he then said.

"Hey." he said further, making his way towards her.

"Yeah, it seems that the black feline... doesn't really like me..." he sighed.

Darrell's jaw dropped when he saw her, and she gave the reminder.

"Wait..." he said.

"Wait, wait, wait." he repeated.

"I... you..." he stammered.

"Now that you've mentioned it, I DO remember you doing some babysitting for me." he commented.

"But... but didn't you give a talk to a bunch of classes at a large art museum once?" he asked.

"You're... you're THE 'KC', right?" he asked further.

"......." Kitt was silent for a moment, before slowly standing up.

Darrell was silent as well, wondering about the voice.

'...huh?' he thought.

'Have I... that's... familiar...' he thought further.

Kitt then let out a low growl, and looked warningly at Darrell, causing him to flinch a little.

Then, seemingly begrudgingly, Kitt started to slowly lumber off.

"Hmmmmm." Ash mumbled.

"All right." he said.

Some time later, Darrell had just finished unpacking, but wasn't quite done setting up.

However, the aroma in the air told him breakfast was nearing completion.

So he turned to leave the room... only to find the large black feline at the doorway, glaring at him.

"...oh." he mumbled.

"Oh dear..." he said.

'...would it be bad manners to use portals here?' he wondered.

'Would that make her see me as more of a threat?'

"I acknowledge nothing on this." Ash responded.

"You do you." he said.

"I'll holler when it's done." he went on.

"Because there's gonna be a LOT." he chuckled.

"Oh, one more thing." he then said.

"Juice. You got a preference?" he asked.

"Or one you think would be better for this overall?"

Darrell nodded.

"I'll head back up to the room, then." he told her.

With that, he left, and Ash just sighed.

"Kitt'll get used to him soon enough." he muttered.

"She might take it upon herself to 'trap' him in that room, though. Lay in the doorway and growl at him if he tries to leave." he went on.

"Casey'll need to shoo her downstairs in THAT case."

Darrell just smiled and chuckled when he heard all that.

"Heh. Yeah." he said.

"Grandpa's pretty awesome." he agreed.

"He sure is." Ash told him.

"Ashleigh can probably tell you more stories about him." he continued.

"But yeah, give it another... 20 minutes or so. It'll kick RIGHT the hell in." he then told Darrell.

"Got it." Darrell replied.

"How do you know my grandfather?" Darrell asked.

"We've run into each other on a couple of my hunts." Ash replied.

"He's helped me out on one of them." he continued.

"Remember when I was sent out to take care of that Chaos Chameleon?" he asked Ashleigh. "And how I got back in record time, considering it was an emergency and there were no real tracker hunters to send out?" he asked further.

"Yeah, ran into Dom." he confirmed.

"He helped me find it in record time before it wrecked that little ecosystem it had invaded."

Ash paused what he was doing for a moment as he heard the conversation.

"Ah!" he exclaimed.

"I think his hunter genes ARE affecting it, but not as much as you'd think." he told them.

"I think they're just delaying the effect." he continued.

"How can you be so sure?" Darrell asked.

"I've talked to your grandfather some in the past." Ash responded.

"He has the same issue with similar drinks."
