@Totalanimefan: afaik, only unsafe if you're using unpasteurized eggs. which if I were gonna make it, I'd probably try a vegan recipe first anyway. and if that failed, i'd give in and buy some tbh

@Totalanimefan: Yeah, both kinds I tried were really bland and thin. You wouldn't think it'd be that hard to thicken it and add some flavor! ...Which I considered doing myself, but eh, effort.

@Totalanimefan: I love eggnog so much. ;n; I wish there were good dairy-free ones, but I haven't cared much for any I've tried so far.

@Totalanimefan: I got some eggnog there once; it was pretty great. I never did get around to returning the bottle, though. Didn't wanna drive so far out of my way and risk spending all my money there again lol but I was glad to see they had the option.

@Totalanimefan: I never had such a strong feeling of "I don't belong here" than when I went into a Whole Foods... but dang they had some great stuff! We have a Lowe's Foods around here, which is pretty similar in terms of variety and overall niceness of the store. It, too, is a bit too expensive to make more than the occasional trip.
