Jack blinked a few times and grinned even more. “Well that’s a new look for you.” He chuckled, “Nice though.” He glanced over at what must’ve been her companion. “Hello, I’m Jack Harkness- this is Trin, and Christopher.” He said warmly.

Arty went a bit red, “Hello.. I’m Artemis..” she said softly, still not use to just giving out her name.

She looked over at the couple again and then back to the Doctor, not sure what to do- she honestly hadn’t really had much of a social life.

Jack grinned, stopping a few feet away. “Hello beautiful ladies. Have you seen the Doctor anywhere?”

He grinned a bit, “Walking is a great past time- and also good exercise.” He held the doors open for her, letting her out first before stepping out and locking them behind himself.

“Oh- I heard your name.” She said softly, “Are those your friends?” She asked, gently nodding in their direction.

The tardis beeped warmly, happy to have her onboard.

He smiled gently, moving to the doors. “We’re in Cardiff for now. It’s her favorite spot to charge. We can walk from here.”

She looked up as she heard someone else say ‘The Doctor’, looking over to the couple. Even with her ears hidden she could still pick up on things. It made very crowded areas a nightmare though.

Jack grinned, scooping Christopher up and onto his shoulders. They had a few minutes to spare before his meeting with the other Torchwood branches. He led Trin towards the TARDIS, “Let’s go say hello.”

“Of course.” He smiled, closing the doors and moving to the console himself. He put in the coordinates and got them back to Earth, landing in cardiff so the TARDIS could charge.

“..I’d.. love to see it from above too..” she said shyly, grinning as she looked around. “This is awesome.”

Jack smiled warmly, watching him swing a bit and then looked up. “Trin. The Doctor is here.”

“Yes.. and you lot do your best to coexist and keep the planet good.” He said softly, letting her in the tardis first.

She gave a small smile, wondering how different things would’ve been if she landed here. Once they stepped outside her smile went a bit wider, the building’s were so tall! She wondered what it looked like to be on top of one. “Wow..”

He nodded gently, “Alright, Let’s head back to the tardis.” He said softly, leading her back through the city.

“Oh that’s wonderful.” She said softly, smiling warmly. She was really glad that the Doctor had friends. No one should ever be without them. She knew how that felt.

He left a tip on the table and walked out with her. “Want to look around more?”
