"Of course I care. I'll always care about you Allen." Kaneko blushed when he kissed her cheek and sighed happily as she watched him go. She was completely smitten by this man. She waved goodbye then closed the door and glanced out the window before heading to the kitchen and getting started on dinner. She wondered if he'd want dessert as well. Milkshakes sounded nice but she decided against it. Tea sounded way nicer right now anyway. Kaneko was grilling some chicken breast after cutting it up into chunks and adding some vegetable oil to the pan first. In a large pot she had water and waited for it to boil. She added salt to the water and salt and pepper to the chicken for more taste. The corkscrew pasta was then dropped into the water when it was boiling and she would occasionally stir it. Letting it sit and lowering the flame on the chicken, she washed some broccoli and started cutting it up.
When that was done, she checked on the chicken and when it was done, she carefully set it into a ceramic bowl off to the side then began to make the alfredo sauce. Kaneko checked on the pasta and once it was ready, added the broccoli into the boiling water and let it cook for a few minutes before draining it. She worked on the sauce, adding some motzzerella cheese to it so that it was really creamy and cheesy. When everything was ready, she stopped the flames and grabbed two bowls then carefully served the pasta with the broccoli and the chicken on top. Then over that, she poured the sauce. It looked really good and hopefully he would like this little dinner she made them.

So that's why she had been so quiet. "That's why you didn't say anything and instead decided to run out in the rain and risk getting hurt or worse?" Clint asked her. He glanced at the kitten then looked straight ahead. "At least it's not dead. You weren't followed were you?" He asked. They reached the house after a few more minutes of driving and he pulled into the driveway then killed the lights and the engine. "Come on, let's get you both dried up and warm again." Clint said to her quietly, grabbing his things and unbuckling himself before stepping out of the car. He went around and opened the door for her.

@kozi: Oh no! ; n ; Is gonna worry like crazy now
I'm really sorry, but a-at least it's better now. Even if it's just a little bit.
Apologies for the late reply. Was in class. But got home a few minutes ago and just hopped on now.

"Yes, yes you can. You can explain when we get home. Get in the car." Clint called back, reaching over and unlocking the passanger's side door for her from the inside. Quickly, he closed the window and waited for her to get inside the car. There was no doubt in his mind that she was most likely going to be sick because of this little stunt she pulled. She seemed to be holding something, but he wasn't sure what. Whatever it was, he'd find out about it once they were back at the house.

"Class was boring. The teacher was droning on and on and he wasn't making any sense and my hand hurts from writing my notes so neatly." Honey answered. He was very proud of himself though for taking neat notes. That sort of behavior required he be rewarded sweets. And lots of them too. He nodded to himself. Yes, this was acceptable.

Hikaru smiled back, "Well you don't have to answer right now. Take as much time as you need Alice." It would be fun, and it would give him another excuse to be close to her and to watch over her. Would Tamaki like the surprise if he actually saw her there? Nodding at the suggestion, he walked with her towards the club room. He was sure both Haruhi and Kaoru were already there, waiting for him most likely.

While driving, Clint wondered what Maddie was doing. Hopefully she was still home. In this weather he didn't expect anything else really. At least she was warm, he was freezing in this weather. Maybe once he got home he could ask her what was wrong. But, would she even want to share that information with him? Maybe he was just over reacting. Regardless of if he was or wasn't, he was still going to ask when he got home. It was up to her if she chose to tell him what had been bothering her. Clint continued to drive in the dark and knew he was getting close now. He noticed someone was walking down the empty sidewalk. Who would be outside at this hour without an umbrella or raincoat of any kind? It was too dark to see who it was but the lights from his headlights did light up the area in front of him so if he looked at the person long enough he would see it was Maddie. Maddie?! What the heck was she doing outside? "Mads!" He called out after opening his window. Well, so much for not getting sick right?

The men were hard at work, trying to finish quickly but also making sure that the jobs were getting done. The customers all left slowly, one after another until finally it was time to close. "Go on, I'm going to lock up and head out myself." Clint explained and started to shut off the lights and close up the place. He made sure the doors were locked then quickly made his way to the car where he hopped inside, buckled up and started up the engine. Time to head home. Backing out of the parking lot, Clint started making his way back home. The high lights were on at this time, the windshield wipers were on as well, continuously wiping the rain off the windshield so Clint could actually see where he was going.
