Hearing Maddie's voice come up, Clint looked at her and shook his head. What was she doing? He hadn't wanted this to happen. For Jess to see her, who knew how she'd react. Jess looked at Maddie and smirked, placing her hands on her hips. "Really? That's who you're sleeping with now? That child? Clint...that's not very good." Jess said. "Oh shut up Jess, she's not six and I'm not sleeping with her." Clint retorted. Jess wasn't buying it. She looked at Maddie and raised an eyebrow. "I am not harassing him. I'm visiting him and having a simple conversation with him. Is that so bad? Besides, who the hell are you and why are you listening in on our conversation? That's very rude you know. I guess your parents never taught you any manners. Trust me, I know what Clint likes and what he doesn't like. I've known Clint for a very long time and I know him better than you do. So I would drop the act little missy."

"Enjoy your food and drink. I'm going to go make this. Hopefully it helps." Kaneko said and excused herself from the room. The herbs had been put away in plastic bags to keep them fresh but before she took out the one in the bag, she had to step outside again and collect the one from outside. "Not too much, just enough. I don't want the entire plant either. Just a few leaves for the tea.." She said to herself as she carefully plucked a couple of leaves from the plant then ran back inside. Boy was it cold out there. Inside, Kaneko walked to the kitchen and put some water in the teapot and waited for it to boil on the stove top. As she waited, Kaneko dropped the leaves in a clean mug then plucked some from the other plant that Allen still had some of. She only took a few leaves, wanting to keep some in case they needed this again. She dropped the leaves in the mug, then sealed the plastic bag again and put it away. She was tempted to add sugar, but she wanted this to be all natural.

Mia quietly walked beside them on the way to the cafeteria where they each got their lunch and went to sit at a table. It was not surprising to see that Mitsukuni had gotten plenty of sweets. It really was strange though. "How is it you eat so much sweets? Don't you ever get sick?" She asked him curiously. Honey shook his head. "Never. And I take very good of my teeth so I don't get any cavities. I always remember to brush my teeth and if I ever forget, Takashi reminds me." The young boy replied.

Seeing the tall blonde approach, Haruhi was surprised as were the twins. "T-tamaki-senpai! We thought you would be with Kyoya-senpai." She saod. "Boss." The twins said, saluting him then chuckling. "If Kyoya-senpai isn't with you...then he must be in the club room. We need to go there." Haruhi explained seriously. "We don't all have to go, Kaoru and I will go since we have to ask him something about...some class work...stuff." Hikaru explained, hoping it would be an excuse that was believed. Haruhi wasn't an idiot though. She knew they were hiding something...but what? Was it about their family emergency? Why didn't they tell her or Tamaki about it though. "Yes we should really get going now. Bye!" Kaoru agreed and quickly started walking away with Hikaru at his side, the two making a beeline towards the club. "Hmmm....those two are hiding something." Haruhi said to Tamaki, her eyes narrowing.

True, it didn't hurt to try. What did they have to lose anyway right? His health was her priority right now. So yes, perhaps once he was feeling better, they could give this a try. To have him be able to see again, it made her smile because she knew it would bring him so much joy to be able to see the world again. "Of course. Once you're better...we'll give this a try." She agreed. "I'll go and start on that tea then alright?" Kaneko informed, closing the book and putting it back where it belonged.

"Someone else?" Clint repeated and looked at her. "What the- Hold on, why does it matter anyway?" He asked. "Oh, so there is? What's her name? Is she the reason you didn't want to come over yesterday? Is she here right now?" The onslaught of questions surprised. Why did she need to know everything about his life? She was infatuated with him and it was not flattering at all. She wasn't his mother or his sister to demand details about his life with whoever he shared it with. "I'm not answering any of your questions Jess." Jess narrowed her eyes and looked around the room. She didn't see anyone right away, maybe Clint really was alone today. All the better for her right? "Well your popcorn is done so why don't we just have a seat, and watch some movies together just the two of us. It will be fun. And I'll sleep over, like old times." She reminded with a wink, making Clint groan. "Oh come on now, don't act like you don't like the idea. You never complained before."

Honey sat comfortably on his cousin's shoulders and waited patiently for Mia to join them. Mia walked out of the classroom and saw that both were waiting there. Were they waiting for her? "You both made it. I was starting to think you wouldn't show up." she admitted to them. Honey shook his head. "I fell to sleep again. T-that's why we were late. But it's okay because we didn't skip class. Do you want to sit with us for lunch Mia? It will be fun! We can talk about how cute my bunny is." He said, showing off Usa-chan to her. Mia looked at the bunny and chuckled. "Alright then, I'd love to." She agreed. It was nice of him to invite her to lunch with them.

The three of them headed towards the cafeteria to grab lunch. On their way there, the twins didn't see Kyoya and when they got there he was nowhere to be seen either. "Why don't we just call him?" Kaoru suggested. "Who do you want to call?" Haruhi asked curiously. "Kyoya-senpai. Just to ask if he's coming to lunch or not." Hikaru answered. Haruhi looked confused. "Well...maybe he is spending lunch hour at the club room. Maybe he and Tamaki-senpai are working in there. We can go visit them if you really want to talk to him."

"Fine, I'll say what I have to say and leave." Jess began, her eyes on Clint. "You're telling me you don't feel anything towards me anymore? Nothing at all?" She asked, approaching him. Clint frowned as if debating what to say. This pleased Jess and she grinned. "I knew you weren't over me like you say you are." She cooed, pinching his cheek. Clint wanted to hide. He wanted the ground to swallow him up. "Okay, that's it Jess. You need to leave. What happened between us is over. Yesterday was a mistake. I shouldn't have kissed you...but you just...I don't know. You just need to go, please. There will ever be a second chance between us. I want to settle down...you don't. I'm tired of repeating myself with you Jess. Really, I am. I just...I'm sick of this constant begging on your part. It's not attractive at all. You need to move on. Seriously." Clint told her, holding her wrist and lowering her hand away from his cheek. "Just stop." He whispered. "Is it because there's someone else?" Jess asked suddenly.

As Allen was talking, Kaneko nodded in agreement. Making a tea sounded like a good idea. So much tea today. She thought, looking at his mug of peppermint tea that she had brought him. When asked if there was more, Kaneko hesitated before answering. "Well...it says here that the Euphrosyne plant has a reputation to be able to restore sight to people over 70 years of age." She informed softly. "It doesn't specify if it's just for humans though.." She added quietly. Kaneko didn't want to get him too hopeful on the idea of possibly regaining his eyesight. If he could see again, it would change everything. She'd still love him regardless.

The scent of buttery popcorn reached her nose and Jess was beaming. "We're watching a movie?" She asked him. Clint sighed. "No. Me, myself, and I are watching a movie. You are not invited. Please just go." Clint was emotionally drained. She was a handful, why had they even dated in the first place? Because he was stupid, she was lovely in his eyes and they happened to be at the same party. What was supposed to be a casual hookup turned into a serious romance between the two and now he wished he had never met her. "Can I come in please? It's cold." Jess whined. Clint thought about this, he really didn't think it would be a good idea, but he didn't want her to freeze either. It wasn't very cold out but they might as well sit and talk. "Fine..." He muttered against his better judgement. "Thank-you. You're always such a dear." She said to him, brushing past him into the house. Clint closed the door and turned to look at her. "If you have anything to say, just say it now Jess." He told her.

Kaneko found the page for Kava Kava and looked up from the book at Allen. "I think so. Judging from the written description of the appearance, I think we have some outside and the Kava Kava...I think you might have some Allen." She answered. "It says here that it's used for headaches and neuropathic pain. When consumed, the plant produces a state of calmness, relaxation and well being without diminishing cognitive performance. It also says that it may produce an initial talkative period, followed by muscle relaxation and eventual sleepiness." She informed and looked back at Allen. "So I guess you should be prepared to get plenty of rest. This is good though, rest is needed." She said and flipped back to the Euphrosyne to read some more about it. "Hmmm..." There was a little bit of info about it that she wasn't sure if she should mention or not since it didn't specify what it worked on exactly and she didn't want to get his hopes up.

((Hahaha))
"I don't know...but I can't just ignore her either. Umm...k-keep an eye on the popcorn. I'll try to get her to leave." He said to her and made his way over to the door. When he opened it, there she was with a smile on her face. "Jess...what a uhh...surprise." He said quietly. "Going to invite me in?" Jess asked, trying to look behind him but Clint kept blocking her view. "Uhh, I'd rather not. Seriously Jess I'm not sure what to do anymore. What is it you want?" He asked her. "I think you know the answer to that question." Jess said seriously, crossing her arms across her chest. "I'm off the menu Jess. I already said what I had to say. I have nothing else to say to you, so I suggest you leave." He warned her. The woman didn't look scared though. Instead, she sighed and rolled her eyes. "Jeez, you sure changed. But I think deep down inside, you're the same guy from college. And you can say that you're over me and whatever but yesterday said otherwise." She reminded with a smirk. "Yesterday didn't mean anything." He countered. "Are you sure about that Clint?" Jess asked.

Kaneko listened and nodded. "Okay, volume 2. Got it." She said and made her way over to the bookshelf on the far end of the room. Her dark eyes scanned the titles of the books that she had brought along from Allen's old manor. "Hmmm... oh! Here it is." Picking it from the bookshelf, Kaneko made her way over to Allen once again and started to open up the book to the table of contents. She searched for Euphrosyne first since it was in alphabetical order. "Euphrosyne is a plant chiefly used to assist with ailments of the eyes. It is a short lived herb that can reach up to about 30 cm in height. Its leaves have jagged toothy edges and its flowers also vary between white, red or yellow, they usually have a yellow spot in the throat." She read aloud from the book. "Huh this is interesting, it's recommended as a gargle for a sore throat and relaxed tonsils.." She said quietly. "It also says it can be combined with both Chamomile and Fennel for treating eye problems." She explained to him. Not losing that page, she started to look for Kava Kava.

Maddie said she only read fast when it was a book she truly enjoyed. Clint gave her a smile, he could tell what she was doing. She was trying to cheer him up, and he appreciated it. But...he wasn't going to be mopey. He didn't want to ruin movie night for her. Whether Jess showed up or not, he wasn't going to ruin this for his friend. "I'm glad to know you're enjoying the book Maddie. I was hoping you would." He said. There was the sound of a car engine coming to a stop outside and right away, Clint stood up. "Well...you were right Mads." He told her.
Jess stepped out of her red convertible and closed the door. She stood there for a while, looking at Clint's house. It had been so long since she was last here. He never invited her over as much as he used to, and she wondered why. Jess didn't want to believe that he was being serious with what he said back at his job. He had to be messing with her right? Shaking her head, she made her way to his front door and then rung the doorbell.
