Kaneko found the page for Kava Kava and looked up from the book at Allen. "I think so. Judging from the written description of the appearance, I think we have some outside and the Kava Kava...I think you might have some Allen." She answered. "It says here that it's used for headaches and neuropathic pain. When consumed, the plant produces a state of calmness, relaxation and well being without diminishing cognitive performance. It also says that it may produce an initial talkative period, followed by muscle relaxation and eventual sleepiness." She informed and looked back at Allen. "So I guess you should be prepared to get plenty of rest. This is good though, rest is needed." She said and flipped back to the Euphrosyne to read some more about it. "Hmmm..." There was a little bit of info about it that she wasn't sure if she should mention or not since it didn't specify what it worked on exactly and she didn't want to get his hopes up.

"I don't know...but I can't just ignore her either. Umm...k-keep an eye on the popcorn. I'll try to get her to leave." He said to her and made his way over to the door. When he opened it, there she was with a smile on her face. "Jess...what a uhh...surprise." He said quietly. "Going to invite me in?" Jess asked, trying to look behind him but Clint kept blocking her view. "Uhh, I'd rather not. Seriously Jess I'm not sure what to do anymore. What is it you want?" He asked her. "I think you know the answer to that question." Jess said seriously, crossing her arms across her chest. "I'm off the menu Jess. I already said what I had to say. I have nothing else to say to you, so I suggest you leave." He warned her. The woman didn't look scared though. Instead, she sighed and rolled her eyes. "Jeez, you sure changed. But I think deep down inside, you're the same guy from college. And you can say that you're over me and whatever but yesterday said otherwise." She reminded with a smirk. "Yesterday didn't mean anything." He countered. "Are you sure about that Clint?" Jess asked.

Kaneko listened and nodded. "Okay, volume 2. Got it." She said and made her way over to the bookshelf on the far end of the room. Her dark eyes scanned the titles of the books that she had brought along from Allen's old manor. "Hmmm... oh! Here it is." Picking it from the bookshelf, Kaneko made her way over to Allen once again and started to open up the book to the table of contents. She searched for Euphrosyne first since it was in alphabetical order. "Euphrosyne is a plant chiefly used to assist with ailments of the eyes. It is a short lived herb that can reach up to about 30 cm in height. Its leaves have jagged toothy edges and its flowers also vary between white, red or yellow, they usually have a yellow spot in the throat." She read aloud from the book. "Huh this is interesting, it's recommended as a gargle for a sore throat and relaxed tonsils.." She said quietly. "It also says it can be combined with both Chamomile and Fennel for treating eye problems." She explained to him. Not losing that page, she started to look for Kava Kava.

Maddie said she only read fast when it was a book she truly enjoyed. Clint gave her a smile, he could tell what she was doing. She was trying to cheer him up, and he appreciated it. But...he wasn't going to be mopey. He didn't want to ruin movie night for her. Whether Jess showed up or not, he wasn't going to ruin this for his friend. "I'm glad to know you're enjoying the book Maddie. I was hoping you would." He said. There was the sound of a car engine coming to a stop outside and right away, Clint stood up. "Well...you were right Mads." He told her.
Jess stepped out of her red convertible and closed the door. She stood there for a while, looking at Clint's house. It had been so long since she was last here. He never invited her over as much as he used to, and she wondered why. Jess didn't want to believe that he was being serious with what he said back at his job. He had to be messing with her right? Shaking her head, she made her way to his front door and then rung the doorbell.

Clint watched Maddie approach the microwave and stare at the popcorn as it popped. It wouldn't be long before the smell of popcorn filled the air. His mother never allowed him to stand so close to the microwave and watch. He was always scolded and told he'd go blind if he continued doing so. So he stopped. He didn't think it was true what his mother said but back then it sure scared him. "Fell to sleep reading huh? Well reading can do that to you, especially if you were already tired when you started reading. You clearly read faster than I do." He told her with a chuckle. His eyes drifted to the front door. Had she not followed him? Had she actually payed attention to him and done as he said? No way, she had to be getting ready or on her way over.

"Okay." Clint went to grab the popcorn package and tore off the plastic wrapping on it. He still looked troubled, upset, confused. Conflicted. But he was just looking forward to spending some time together with Maddie. It was so long overdue. Tossing the package in the microwave, he entered the required time then pressed 'start' and Went to sit at the table so he could at least listen to it when it stopped popping before the time ran out. "How's the book so far? I'm guessing you're probably already finished with one book by now huh?" He asked her, looking at her and brushing some hair away from his face.

((Ooooh that would be interesting.))
"I'm gonna shower. I'll start on the popcorn after." Was all Clint said as he walked past her and into his room to get some clean clothes and shower. A hot shower was what he needed. He knew that Jess would follow him, and he was waiting for her to show up. What would she do if she happened to see Maddie though? Well, she wouldn't, unless she got inside or Maddie came outside. Best to keep an eye on both of them anyway. Yes, two girls under one roof with a boy in the mix could only spell trouble. Both girls from his past. One a friend, the other...an ex girlfriend gone total stalker mode. Clint was dressed properly for bed after the shower. Hair was dried, clothes were taken to the basket, and he made his way to the kitchen to start on the popcorn. That's when he remembered, he didn't know what type she liked. "Hey Mads, kettle or butter?" He asked her.

For the entirety of the class, Mitsukuni was jotting down notes as best as he could. Usa-Chan sat on his lap, looking over his work as he continued writing. He wasn't even aware that he was being observed by his tall cousin. He would pause from writing and look at the teacher at times. Taking a break from writing so he wouldn't hurt his wrist. Even though he didn't look it, he took his education very seriously. Almost as seriously as he took sweets. Of course, sweets were always better. However, the bell eventually rang, signaling it was time for lunch. His large amber colored eyes blinked a few times and he started to gather up his things as well.
Mia took clean notes throughout the class. She never once looked to see how the others were doing, she didn't want to pry. Despite them being late though, they got straight to work when they arrived, it was nice to see. Once the bell rang, Mia gathered up her things and stood from her seat. She allowed the students to leave the class before she headed towards the door herself.
---
Class was so boring, Hikaru was having a hard time focusing. Kaoru did what he could to keep him on track but even he was struggling. The news of Alice's health had hit hard. It felt as if there was nothing they could do. Their only chance was to get Kyoya involved but they had to be careful about asking him. They couldn't let the others know about this. Alice would surely tell them all in her own time. Kaoru only wondered how Tamaki would take the news if he found out. Thankfully when the bell rang, they each gathered their things and Hikaru had collected the homework from the teacher for Alice then they walked out with Haruhi quickly following after them.

Honey saw the students turn to look at them when they walked in, even Mia and he waved in her direction. He kept quiet however, knowing he'd only disrupt class even more if he spoke up. He settled in his seat and quickly tried to catch up on the notes written on the board. Mia was surprised to see them show up, a little late but not terribly late either. She smiled at them and waved back at Mitsukuni. He seemed in a cheerful mood as always and Takashi was silent as was usual in his behavior.
---
Kaoru made sure to drive back to the school as fast as possible. "We aren't too late, so we should be fine and I'm sure anything we miss we'll get from Haruhi afterwords." he explained. They excited the car and practically ran inside the school then towards their class. They bowed many times when they arrived and then took their usual seats, shooting Haruhi an apologetic look. Haruhi blinked in surprise to see the devious duo run inside the classroom. She wanted to ask where they were, but she knew that would have to wait until afterwards.

Well it went better than expected. Work was fine, no one asked questions and when they did they were ignored. It was safe to say Clint's mood was ruined. He hadn't meant to yell at her like he did, but he could only deal with so much before he cracked. Now he made his way to his car after work and he remembered what Maddie had said, Jess would try to follow him. Fine, but he wasn't letting her in. He had plans already. It was movie night with Maddie, that was what mattered right now. Clint drove home in silence, trying to cool off and calm down. He was a filthy sweaty mess when he got home. He didn't see her car straight away so he thought he was fine. He thought so anyway, and walked inside, locking the door behind him unaware that he had been followed.

Honey nodded and climbed up onto his cousin's shoulders. "Let's go. Maybe we'll see Mia today. I wonder if she'll want to eat lunch with us. Or if she'll want to visit our club today. I hope she isn't worried about us being late." The boy said quietly.
---
"Nonsense. Your father can discharge you too can't he? Well...after the whole divorce thing anyway." Kaoru commented. That would take days though and she couldn't be missing school for days at a time. That would make her grade drop very quickly. When the nurse returned, Kaoru nodded. "Very well then, we'll be going now. Come Hikaru, we have class." Hikaru was hesitant though and gently squeezed her hand. "We'll come back after school and I'll see if I can bring you the homework that way you don't fall behind okay?" The twin suggested with a smile. "You'll be fine. We'll figure this out." he told her softly. Kaoru nodded and walked over to ruffle her hair. "We'll see you again soon." He said and took his brother's hand, basically dragging him out of there. The entire time, Hikaru glanced over his shoulder at Alice.

"So that's it? You kissed me yesterday and you're telling me you want nothing to do with me? That it meant nothing to you? Didn't you stop to think that maybe it meant something to me?" Jess told him. "I did. And I understand that you might think I love you...but I don't Jess. I like you, I don't hate you. But I could never love you anymore. I loved you at one point....but then we grew apart after college. I thought it would be best to just break it off..I was busy working three jobs and looking for a place of my own. It wasn't easy but you were out partying and getting wasted! How the hell was I supposed to just sit back and pretend that we were okay? We weren't. It's why we broke up...and you know that Jess. You had your chance and you blew it. I have to get back to work now. Don't come back here again, don't look for me. You want to talk, you call the house." Clint warned and left back to work on the car some more before the boss got upset.

Haruhi understood Takashi's silent answer. He and Mitsukuni were family, very close. She quietly followed the other two out and closed the door behind her. The twins were fine...wherever they were. Kyoya had said it was a family matter. Were their parents hurt? Well, she could ask questions the next time she saw them. For now, she walked into her class and took her usual seat.
Honey slept for a few minutes longer before slowly waking up and rubbed his eyes sleepily. "Oh...e-everyone is gone." He noted quietly, sitting up and turning to see his cousin was still there. It made the boy smile, happy to see he had been waited for. "Sorry Takashi. We're going to be late because of me."
----
Kaoru pinched the bridge of his nose hearing the woman make a scene outside. It clearly wasn't helping Alice feel better. "Should we go talk to her?" Hikaru asked. Kaoru shook his head. "It will make matters worse. At least we know she won't be allowed inside to see Alice now. Maybe now you can rest a little easier." He said and frowned. "You can't leave until your mother picks you up?"
