Ryker watched him go, and shook his head slightly.

"Perhaps I should invest in a home connection and an actual computer here." he muttered.

"See you later!" he called back to Eke.

He then looked at the clock, and bit his lip slightly.

"All right, time to earn a day's pay, I suppose." he mumbled, getting ready and writing a quick note for Eke, placing some money on the paper, and then heading out the door.

As he did so, he placed an order for a meat-lover's pizza to be delivered at noon, so Eke would have lunch delivered right to him.

Vincent just nodded.

"Right." he said, making his way out of the medical wing, and towards Sharp's office.

After a few minutes, Angela was taking care of Aedan, and Sharp and Vincent had shown up in the medical wing, to check up on the latter.

Sharp paused as he looked around, before realizing something.

"Ohhhhhhhhhh boy." he muttered.

"I'm... probably going to get an earful from Angela." he mumbled, NOT looking forward to it.

"I would not want to be in your shoes." Vincent commented sincerely, before going to find Aedan.

Vincent just sighed.

"If you can get me in there." he said.

"Hal and I don't see eye-to-eye just yet, but he DOES need to know what I saw." he reasoned.

He then sighed once more, and nodded.

"I'm ready to go when you are." he told Kiah.

Vincent froze when he saw Aedan there, in that state.

"Oh, dear lord!" he exclaimed.

He quickly rushed over towards her, and lifted her up in a cushion of air.

He saw that her throat was VERY badly damaged, and floated her body into his arms, before quickly making his way to the teleport pad and using it to get back to his manor, in the den. He let her float in the air once more, calling Kiah as he did so.

"...Kiah, get to my manor now." he told her when she answered.

"Seriously. I need you to be here and teleport Reveka to the Unit, as I don't think my own mana is whitelisted for direct entry." he told her further.

Ryker just laughed out loud.

"Oh, please." he said.

"I'm gonna peak at age 30." he told her.

"No, seriously. The other me said that." he then said further. "That's when he's gonna stop the aging process and pretty much start grooming me and my body for taking the underworld throne." he informed Eke.

He then cleared his throat a bit... more loudly than one would expect.

"But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it." he said.

"I hope the calls prove fruitful."

".....right. I see." Vincent replied.

"I'll go check on her." he told her.

With that, the call was ended, and he sighed. He got up from his desk and stepped away from the books and papers that were on it. He made his way to a more open area, and used his wind mana to whip up a small tornado around him, teleporting him to the cave where he'd taken Aedan previously.

He made his way to the steel door, opened it, and poked his head in.

"Reveka?" he asked, using her 'real' name.

"Are you still here?" he asked further, making his way to the secondary door and knocking on it.

"Eh?" Vincent muttered when Kiah answered her question.

"No..." he said.

"Why?" he asked.

"It seems she hasn't been heard from in about a week." was the answer that Kiah gave.

"........" Vincent was silent as he heard that.

"Want me to check up on her?" he asked.

Azazel shook his head.

"No, not yet." he said.

"I've been considering it for the past few days or so." he then admitted.

"I just don't want to be a bother over something that's probably nothing, you know?" he told her, shaking his head once more.

"Sorry." he apologized.

"I can be a worry-wort at times." he said sheepishly.

Azazel didn't respond right away, but shook his head slightly when it registered that someone had spoken to him.

"Huh?" he muttered.

"Oh, hey Kiah." he said.

"And... it's... well, it's Aedan." he commented.

"She's been away for a week or so, which means she got called out to do some field work, and odds are it's the kind that takes a month or so." he told her.

"I just wish she would've said something before she left." he went on.

"I know it's probably nothing, but I AM starting to get worried." he then admitted quietly.

Ryker nodded.

"I am, sadly." he said.

"So you'll have to do it yourself." he told him.

"Sorry about that." he apologized.

"Try not to push yourself TOO hard."

Vincent nodded in response.

"Good luck." he said to her.

"I hope you find what you're looking for!" he then called out, before shutting the steel door.

With that, he sighed, and shook his head.

"Even -I- can't remember what all's in there." he mumbled, before teleporting out of the cave, and back to his manor.

"No need for anything like that." Vincent replied.

"There's a small corridor past this door, which leads to a more normal door, that isn't locked." he told her.

"Along the way is a small teleport pad loaded with mana." he continued. "Outgoing ONLY." he stressed.

"Step inside and it'll scan your mind. Visualize where you want to appear, and you'll be teleported there. Pretty simple stuff, really." he went on.

"That work for you?" he asked.

As they walked, she heard strange noises coming from above her.

"Ignore those." Vincent said.

"It tries to get people to look up when they heard the weird cries." he told her, before reaching what looked the be a fortified steel door. It looked ancient and worn... but there was clearly a strange touch panel on it.

Vincent stepped forward, placed his hand on the panel, and after a few seconds, the door shook and shuddered, before sliding open.

"All right, in you go." Vincent told Aedan.

Ryker just smiled softly as Eke said all he did.

"I'm glad." he replied.

"I'm very happy that you may have truly found someone." he told him.

"And I hope she IS that one." he added.

"You just gotta make the most of the time you have."
