Azazel smiled softly when she quietly expressed her surprise.

When she opened the smaller box, what she saw inside surprised her even more.

Inside was an absolutely perfect replica of the 11th Doctor's sonic screwdriver from Doctor Who. When she picked it up, she could feel the weight it had. It was clearly made of stainless steel, and everything was in place.

Not a thing was missing or misplaced, not a single error at all. And the paint job was absolutely perfect as well.

It was also fully functional, in the sense that it would mimic the movements and actions of the TV version, physically. Odds are it didn't ACTUALLY do what the 'real' sonic screwdriver did.

Beneath the screwdriver was a slip of thick card, that seemed to be a standard certificate of authenticity... but when she picked it up, she saw there was some writing on the back of it.

And it was signed by Matt Smith.

"Yeah, a shower might be nice." Azazel agreed.

"Oh!" he then exclaimed, before digging in his pocket and pulling the small package out.

"Here." he said.

"This is for you." he told her.

"I know there's a special day coming up, so I went out and got it." he said further with a small smile.

"...yeah, I'm giving it to you now, just to try and offset what just happened." he then added.

"................" Azazel was silent as he heard that.

"...so it's MY fault you had your neck snapped." he said quietly.

"Don't blame yourself." Sharp interjected. "There was no way you could have known." he assured him.

"....yeah." Azazel agreed.

"Regardless, I'm going to head back the Unit." Hal then said further.

"You two show up whenever you want to." he finished, before he disappeared from the backyard.

"It comes in handy." Hal replied.

"Where'd they go?" Azazel asked.

"Unit lab." Hal responded. "Considering what it had done, it would be best studied, see what we can learn about it." he reasoned to them.

"....I cannot argue that." Azazel admitted.

"Now then... Aedan." Sharp then said to the zombie.

"Did this just happen suddenly?" he asked her.

Azazel shook his head in response.

"Nope." he replied.

"Not a one." he said.

"I really WISH there was a way to clean this up easily." he then added, looking suspiciously off to the side.

Hal was silent, before he just smirked.

"Indeed." he replied, before he snapped his fingers, and caused the remnants of the statue to completely and utterly disappear, leaving not a single trace.

"Yeah, that IS pretty damn potent." Azazel agreed as he stepped back.

"I'm starting to regret doing that." he told her.

"I mean, it's for the best, considering what it did to you, but... geez, that's a friggin' mess." he commented further, just as Hal appeared in the backyard.

"All right, what is-" he started to ask, before suddenly pausing.

"Well, SOMETHING certainly smells... strongly." he commented, before looking at the pile of wet rubble.

"...and THAT is vaguely disturbing." he added.

"Yeah, I noticed that, too." Azazel commented.

"Smells like it's... well, close to a century, at least." he said.

"Should I keep going?" he asked.

Aedan merely nodded.

Azazel then went back to demolishing the statue, causing more and more cracks and crevasses, which also caused more of the foul-smelling liquid to ooze out.

"All right, screw this." Azazel grumbled, before putting all his strength into it, and slamming the head of the hammer against the head out the statue. The head cracked and split, before it was knocked off, causing the liquid to come flowing down from the stump like an underpowered fountain.

And then the statue crumbled in upon itself, in a mess of red fluid and stone chunks.

Azazel just nodded in response.

"Right." he replied, before leaving to get it.

As Aedan looked at the statue, it was hard to believe that it had just attacked her like it had. The facial expression was less horrifying than what she would have expected, but it DID have an expression of anger and resentment.

Almost like it was actually MAD at... something.

"Got it!" she then heard Azazel call to her.

He then approached the statue, and Aedan stood back, not taking her eyes off the thing, still.

Azazel then gripped the sledgehammer, clenched up his arm muscles, and slammed the head of the implement into the side of the statue. It caused some cracks to split from the point of impact... but a strange stagnant deep red substance started to ooze out from the cracks as well.

"....." Azazel was silent as he witnessed this, before looking at Aedan and pointing to the fluid.

"...that supposed to happen?" he asked her.

Azazel paused for a moment, and placed his hands on his hips.

"Huh." he said.

"Well... we got a sledgehammer, yeah?" he asked.

"Can't we just... I dunno... bust the thing up?" he suggested.

"If it's a statue, it stands to reason it should be demolishable."

"I'll get there when I can." Sharp responded.

"Give me... 7 minutes at most." he told her.

"Smidgen of a crisis here in terms of paperwork, but I'm blazing through it as best I can. Just keep yourself safe." he said further.

Meanwhile, Azazel was continuing to study the statue, knocking on it in various places.

"...pretty solid." he commented quietly.

Sharp was silent for a moment as Aedan asked her question.

"A Weeping Angel?" he asked.

"As in, the Doctor Who enemy?" he asked further.

"The ones that either snap their victim's necks, or send them back in time to live out the rest of their lives, and feed on the residual energy?" he inquired.

"Yeah." Aedan responded.

"What of them?" Sharp then asked her.

"Are you going to tell me you've just had an encounter with one?"

"Eh?" Azazel muttered.

"Ok, hang on." he said.

"What is going on here?" he asked her.

"As you expected it to be?" he asked. "Whether or not it's the only one?" he asked further.

"You seem like you know what's happening here. Care to inform?" he inquired.

"Because I'M completely in the dark, here."

"Uhhhhh.... right." Azazel responded, in regards to her warning about the statue.

"And yeah, sure, I can help." he told her.

He then grabbed her by her head and neck, and... with a rather sickening cracking sound... popped it back into place

"That NEVER sounds good." he muttered.

"But at least that SHOULD have done it." he told her.

He then continued to look at the statue, trying to comprehend what he had just witnessed.

"........." Azazel was silent as he witnessed what he swore he witnessed, his jaw dropping slightly.

He then shook his head, and quickly made his way to the fallen woman.

"Aedan?" he asked, kneeling down before her.

"Hey, Aedan?" he asked again, nudging her slightly.

"Y'allright?" he asked her calmly.

"Your neck's kinda... broken." he mumbled, looking at the massive kink in it.
