Uriel was silent again and nodded.

"Yeah." he said.

"Same." he told her.

"....but consequences do need to be thrust upon him." he reasoned.

"But I promise I'll try not to get MYSELF in trouble."

Uriel looked to Aimee sharply, before sighing heavily.

"I'm still getting something done." he told her.

"Just because he's unhappy, doesn't me he gets away with threatening you or your brother." he reasoned.

"So I am getting something done about this." he insisted.

"He's not getting away with this scot-free."

".........." Uriel was just silent as he heard that.

"Excuse me?" he asked, his tone dark.

"He told you... to choose." he said.

Aimee nodded.

"..." Uriel was silent again, before cracking his knuckles.

"I'll kill 'im." he said.

"I'll beat him so badly he'll be unmade." he growled.

The figure recoiled at first when Eke touched them, and he could tell they were shuddering and shivering.

However, about a minute after Eke said what he did, he could sense... and see... the storm starting to subside.

"..." the figure was silent, before shaking their head.

"Why...?" they asked.

"Why are you trying to help me?"

Sure enough, Uriel made himself have a chance. He appeared within a minute after she summoned him.

"Hey." he greeted her.

"I'm here." he said, before pausing.

"....you look a bit stressed." he then commented, looking at her.

"What's wrong?"

Gabriel just shrugged.

"I never said I'd do anything." he told her.

"I'm just saying that it might be a question worth pondering for you." he said.

"And then let your conscience be your guide." he finished with a cocky smirk.

Then, before she could say anything, he took a step back and disappeared in a pillar of light, a single feather left to flutter down towards the ground again.

Gabriel just grinned. Confidently and connivingly.

"That's true." he said.

"I WILL be in trouble if I do anything to you." he confirmed.

"You." he repeated.

"YOU." he emphasized.

"I think... at his point, you need to wonder about something. Ask yourself a question." he went on.

"Who do you care about more? My brother... or YOUR brother."

"You." he replied.

"YOU'RE the problem." he told her.

"You will cause my brother pain in his future. I won't have that." he said further.

"But he's stubborn, and won't listen to me." he lamented.

"He WILL listen to YOU, though." he then added, thinking she'd know where he was going with this.

"Yeah, sounds like her." Uriel sighed.

Aimee was sitting out in her backyard, enjoying the weather, when she saw a beam of light suddenly form in front of her... and when it died down, she saw Gabriel standing there, looking at her.

And he did NOT look impressed. At all.

He took a few steps forward, levelling a glare at the woman.

"You." he said.

"We're having a discussion. NOW." he declared.

Uriel was silent for a moment, before sighing quietly.

"I'm all right." he said.

"With her, I'm doing just great." he told her. "As I said to her... before I met her, I was existing. Since meeting her, I've felt ready to... well... LIVE." he explained.

"And I love it." he admitted.

"...as for my brother, I'll take whatever beatings he feels I 'need'." he then mumbled.

"I'll take serious issue if he makes ANY sort of move on Aimee." he growled at the end.

Ryker was silent for a moment, before seeing what was happening.

"He won't stop!" he yelled to whomever was there.

"If you don't want to hurt him, stop this storm!" he declared.

"I CAN'T!" was the response given.

"IT WON'T STOP! I'M TRYING! IT WON'T STOP!" they sobbed.

"....huh." Uriel muttered.

"Fair enough." he said.

"...because I DO want him to be happy again." he told her.

"I'd never seen him as happy as when he was with Aurora." he went on. "...and losing her just... changed something in him." he lamented.

"And we've never been able to help him." he sighed.

"He's never let us."

This seemed to surprise Uriel greatly, to the point of almost being stunned.

"...really." he said.

"I... huh." he mumbled.

"I admit, that's... something I didn't expect to hear." he told her.

"...I feel kind of guilty now." he then admitted.

"I hope I didn't ruin something potentially wonderful for Gabe..."

"...I know." Uriel admitted.

"It's why this hurts as much as it does." he told her.

"He apparently can't trust me to make my own mistakes." he said. "...well, assuming this IS a mistake, but that's neither here nor there." he then clarified.

"He thinks he needs to protect me at all times." he went on, before pausing.

"...but it makes sense. He DOES embody your Love."
