As Uriel wrapped his wings around her and held her close, he watched as she put the runes up, in order to protect her brother. When she did so, he smiled and looked towards the ceiling, as she got comfortable.

"...." he was silent, before sighing internally.

'Hate me all you want, Gabriel.' he thought. 'But don't hate Aimee.' he continued. '...it's not her fault I've fallen in love.' he admitted to himself bluntly.

He then wondered about someone else up there. Someone whose opinions truly mattered.

He knew they'd want to talk with him. And soon.

And he wondered how it would go.

Uriel looked at where she patted, and was silent for another moment, before nodding.

"Of course." he responded.

He then proceeded to climb onto the bed, and smirked slightly.

His wings then spread out underneath him, and across the bed... as well as some of the room.

But he knew what he was doing... and perhaps Aimee would, too.

He was inviting her to lay down on his wing and get comfortable as well.

Uriel looked at her in silence for a moment.

He then reached over and took one of her hands, holding it gently from beneath, and then placing his other hand atop hers.

"...until I met you, I had been existing up there." he told her.

"Meeting you... I think I'm ready to actually try living." he said.

"...or as close as I get to it." he then mumbled.

"But you are a ray of light in my life."

Uriel shrugged.

"At this point, I don't care." he told her.

"...about the rules, that is." he clarified.

"I'd... break all the rules up there if it meant I could keep visiting you." he admitted.

"And I mean it." he said.

"EVERY rule."

"..." Uriel was silent.

"I..." he said, before pausing.

"I mean... well... yes." he admitted.

"I think." he then said further.

"...okay, I'm not sure." he admitted.

"I know it used to be a hard no, but... well, a lot of things have changed since the management shift."

Uriel paused again, his eyes widening suddenly.

"....." he was silent, before sighing. And shrugging.

"Yeah." he said. "I do." he told her.

"May as well admit it." he went on.

"But I find myself drawn to you." he admitted.

"I rather like it when you summon me."

"..." Uriel was silent for a moment, and then sighed.

"All right." he said. "If you're sure." he told her.

He then looked around once more, before focusing on her.

"I'm glad." he said.

"Not sure how I would have felt if I had been too later." he said further.

"...not good, if I were to be honest."

"No!" Uriel responded quickly.

"No, I do not need to just head back there." he told her.

"REALLY don't want to go there right now." he mumbled.

He then sighed, shaking his head.

"Well, first things first." he then said.

"Are you going to be all right?" he asked.

Ryker looked over as Eke started to walk, and sighed quietly.

As Eke got closer, he thought he heard something.

Laughing? No... sobbing? Hysterical crying?

Whatever it was, the one he was getting closer to appeared to be in definite distress.

Uriel just sighed quietly as she coughed.

"...that is not good, to massively understate the obvious." he commented.

"It seems like it's just going to get worse." he went on, before thinking.

"Wait, I've heard of what you have." he said further.

"It's... not a nice thing to have." he went on.

"At least what I did seems to be helping. For now, anyway." he went on.

"Good thing you managed that summon when you did."

Ryker flicked his wrist and brought the orb up, attracting the lightning and causing the heat to spike around them.

He looked at the wind and rain, and back at the orb, and sighed.

As Eke looked around, he thought he saw something in the distance. A figure?

It was hard to say with the wind and the rain.

But something was DEFINITELY up.

Uriel sighed again.

"He hates humanity, because he fell in love with a human in the past." he told her. "And... she was taken from him abruptly." he went on.

"That incident soured him. To humans, and relationships with humans." he told her further.

"And he hates YOU, because I'm getting close to you." he continued.

"He's convinced that the same will happen, and I'll be in pain. Like him." he then said.

"As for why he saved you... I... still don't know." he admitted.

Uriel shook his head.

"It's not your fault." he said.

"You're not the reason Gabriel is miserable and angry." he told her.

"So don't apologise." he told her further.

"...besides." he then mumbled.

"I'll take his berating if it means I can continue to visit you."

"....." Uriel was silent, before sighing.

"No." he said.

"If anything, you saved me as well." he told her.

"My brother was reaming me out." he muttered.

"Had to get away from him." he grumbled.

"Granted, wish the circumstances would have been nicer." he then admitted.

"But it's nice to see you again, regardless."
