"GO AWAY!" they repeated.

"NOBODY CAN HELP!" they yelled.

"JUST LEAVE ME BEFORE YOU GET HURT!" they screamed further.

"...." Ryker was silent as he heard this.

"Ahhhh-ha." he mumbled.

"...we'll see." Uriel responded.

"Depends on how much he decides to intervene, or how severe it is." he told her.

"If it's nothing, Azrael." he said.

"If it's more serious. You. If I've had enough of it, I'll strike a deal with Sariel." he reasoned.

"Simple enough."

"....." Uriel was silent for a moment, and then nodded slowly.

"I'll remember that." he said.

"I'll keep that in mind." he assured her.

"Again, thank you." he went on.

"It means a lot to me." he told her, before pausing.

"...but I'm sure you already know that."

Uriel nodded in response.

"I understand." he replied.

"..." he was then silent, before looking at her.

"Very strongly." he said.

"I told her I would break all the rules up here, if it meant I could see her again." he informed her.

"...and looking back on it... I meant it." he admitted.

"I would. Without hesitation."

"....ah, yes." Uriel responded.

"Yes, that... that's right." he said.

"Well, thankfully, this relationship is still... well, I'm sure it's just at the end of the budding state. Don't think it's flourishing yet." he admitted.

"But yes, I... well, I should make sure I familiarise myself with the nuances and such." he went on.

"I know the general drift, but... now that it's personal, I should know the fine print."

"Not in the slightest." Uriel muttered.

"And to be fair, Raphael and I DID have the tempers for a while." he told her.

"Came with our 'job titles'." he said.

"However, since we've been allowed to have more than one dimension for our personalities... guess we drifted away." he shrugged.

"I guess Raph and I got tired of being the ones with tempers, and Azrael just picked it up."

"....." Uriel was silent for a moment.

"Of those three choices, Gabriel better hope that Sariel isn't the one used." he said.

"She can reduce any one of us archangels to whimpering puddles of self-pity and worthlessness." he commented.

"A scolding from you hurts, but he'll be back to his old self shortly after, and Azrael's beatings probably won't learn him anything." he sighed.

"Sariel, however? Eesh." he mumbled.

Uriel paused for a moment, before standing back up.

"Sorry." he replied.

"Old habits die hard." he told her.

"..." he was then silent, before sighing.

"I just hope Gabriel can come to terms with this." he said. "He... well... he's not going to like it." he muttered.

"To understate it." he said further.

"And he'd better not try and get Aimee to stop this." he then added, some anger in his tone now.

It was then that Eke heard something.

A voice, yelling out over the storm.

"GET AWAY!" it yelled.

Even Ryker heard it.

"Woah, sounds serious..." he mumbled.

Uriel grabbed the box and opened it, looking at the onyx and white gold ring inside.

"...oh, wow." he said.

"Yes, this really WILL do that." he said further. "I can feel it." he went on.

He then turned and looked at the woman, before kneeling down on one knee.

"Thank you." he said.

"Your graciousness is infinite, and you always do so much." he commented.

He raised an eyebrow when she asked that.

"Eh?" he mumbled.

"Something to help him with that?" he asked.

"I... admit, that would be quite helpful, and probably a massive relief for the both of them." he told her.

"What are you thinking?"

Uriel place his hand over his eyes.

"Of course Gabe went to you." he said.

"...but... it's okay?" he asked.

"You're... all right with my seeing... Aimee?" he asked her.

"..." he was then silent again, and sighed.

"I admit, I wasn't sure what the rules were." he admitted.

"Not since Gabe... well... lost.. her..." he mumbled quietly.

Uriel took the seat she told him to, and was quiet.

'...a formality?' he wondered.

'...wait, not in trouble...?' he then asked himself.

He sighed, and shook his head slightly.

"How do you mean?" he asked.

"A formality? For... what, specifically?" he asked further.

"I mean, I have a strong feeling I know what this meeting is about, but... a formality?"

"..." again, Uriel was silent, before looking at Aimee.

He used his wings to manipulate her position, so that she was still lying down on the bed, but didn't wake her up. Once he did that, he shook his head.

He hated leaving her when she was asleep, but... his boss was calling.

He then decided to leave in a more subtle way, and merely faded from where he was... making sure to scatter a few feathers as he did so, which landed on her and solidified from touching her.

He appeared in the vast corridor-like area with the cloudy floor and the massive pillars, before looking at the closed door in front of him.

"Come in!" he heard a female voice call to him as he raised his fist to knock, which caused him to sigh and open the door, stepping inside.
