Uriel handed her the tea and sighed.

"Well, it did." he told her.

"Obviously." he said.

"And I came as quickly as possible." he continued.

"...seems I came just in the nick of time." he then mumbled.

"What was happening?" he asked.

"..." Uriel was silent once more, before lifting Aimee up in his arms.

"Come on." he said.

"You need to lay down, and have something hot to drink." he told her.

"I... believe I remember how to make tea." he went on.

"Would that be sufficient?" he asked.

"A little." Ryker admitted.

"And I won't tell her." he said.

He then waited until Eke was ready, before sprouting demonic-like wings. Eke then climbed onto his back, and they ascended the rest of the way to the top.

"All right." he said as they were mere feet away from it.

"Get ready for anything."

Gabriel just whirled around and started to walk away.

"Well, when he becomes jaded and miserable, remember that -I- tried to save him from his inevitable fate." he growled at her.

"Aimee?" Uriel asked when he saw Aimee on her hands and knees.

He knelt down so that he was closer towards her... and could sense that her breathing was erratic at best. Laboured would have been a very generous way to describe it. And it was getting worse.

"...." he was silent, before looking around, and sighing.

He created a ball of mana in his hand, before gently lifting Aimee's head up by the chin, and softly pushing the orb into her neck.

Ryker sighed as he got closer to Eke, but didn't get on the ledge.

"HOW tired?" he asked.

"Can you hang onto my back?" he asked further.

"I can fly us up the rest of the way." he offered.

"And hey, you did good."' he then told Eke.

"We got pretty damn high here."

Uriel was quick, and managed to avoid Gabriel, before using his brother's momentum to keep him going, before he turned around.

"I LEARNED, is what happened!" he retorted.

"I learned a harsh lesson! And I'm going to spare my brother that pain!" he declared... though there was some sadness under his anger.

Both Uriel and Sariel were silent for a moment, before Uriel froze.

"...I'd love to continue this, but I must go." he said out of nowhere.

"Bye!" he finished, before disappearing in a bolt of lightning.

"......" Gabriel was silent for a moment, and looked at Sariel.

"What, you WANT him to become miserable?" he asked her accusingly.

Her words just seemed to make Gabriel angrier.

"Yes, it does." he replied.

"Mortals are insects. They are fragile, they are miniscule, they were temporary." he told her.

"They are nothing more than a momentary blip." he went on.

"To get involved with one is to invite yourself for heartbreak, pain, and suffering." he reasoned further.

"...what, did you somehow change yourself to be God's cynicism?" Uriel asked half-jokingly, which caused Gabe to try and lunge at him, past Sariel.

Gabriel just balled his hands into fists and gnashed his teeth at her.

"Our brother is ruining his existence!" he responded.

"He is ruining himself!" he said further.

"And HOW am I doing that, Gabriel?" Uriel asked.

"You know DAMN well!" Gabriel spat in response.

"You are getting involved with a MORTAL!"

Uriel just smirked.

"I miiiiight have." he said.

"I mean, I DID leave the sword-" he started to say, before Gabriel smashed his fist into his brother's face, sending him onto his back onto the cloudy ground.

"SHUT IT!" he barked at his brother.

"And YOU, Sariel! Butt out!" he snapped at their sister.

"This is between Uriel and myself!" he said, as Uriel got to his feet, hand on his jaw as he cracked it a little.

When Lex laid his head down on the pillow, his eyes popped open for a moment.

"....wow." he mumbled. "Holy cow." he whispered. "This... this doesn't even feel like my old pillow." he commented. "My pillow was never THIS comfortable." he said further.

His thoughts then drifted to the feathers that Aimee had.

"...are... they really...?" he started to ask himself, before he simply fell into a deep and restful sleep. A sleep that lasted for only about 3 hours, but when he woke up, he felt himself more rested than ever before.

"...I need to tell Aimee about this." he said, getting out of bed and looking at the pillow.

"This... unreal." he muttered, feeling awake and energised like never before.

Gabriel had a scowl on his face, as he forcefully marched past his siblings, making his way to where Uriel was, standing at a fountain and looking into it absently.

"HEY! YOU!" he yelled out.

"..." Uriel was silent, before sighing and looking over towards his brother.

"Yes?" he asked, as Gabriel got closer and grabbed his collar.

"The HELL do you think you're doing!?" he demanded angrily.

Ryker looked over to Eke, and gently patted his leg.

"Hey, it's cool." he said.

"It missed you. I'm right here." he told him.

He then created a small ball of energy, and sent it floating out from the cliff. The next lightning bolt that threatened to hit the cliff then diverted course, and struck the orb instead.

"I'll keep that up to attract the lightning."

Lex just licked his lips when she said that.

"Mmm, sounds good." he said.

"And all right, all right, I'll get some sleep." he told her as she began to usher him up the stairs.

"Love you, too!" he called back to her.

She then heard him make his way to his room, and heard him flop on the bed.

He was going to be out like a light, she was sure of it.

Lex looked at the pillow again, before yawning.

"I hope you're right." he said.

He then paused for a moment, looking at her... specifically, her hair.

"New feather." he commented.

"Where'd you get it?" he asked.

"Another angel?" he asked further, slightly joking... but he DID seriously wonder about it from time to time.

Lex was still confused when she said it would help her sleep.

"Help me...?" he started to ask, before looking at the pillow in his arms.

"...." he was silent, as he stroked it slightly.

"...hm." he mumbled.

"Something... hm." he repeated.

"I admit, something feels a bit... different about it." he told her.

"Why do I get the feeling that you are 100% serious and correct with that statement..." he wondered aloud.
