Oh! Yay! I'm excited. <3
@Wildfire: Thank you for the links. I saw one of your preferred cook books at the book store the other night with my husband. We decided not to buy it yet. We need to start small and easy.
That first link has some yummy-looking/sounding food! I think I'll try one tonight. :D Open up my pallet a bit. I'll have to run to the grocery store at some point to get a few small things we don't generally have.
Do you cook a lot with turnips? I do not.
@Wildfire: We tried a Mediterranean restaurant last night. I got baffled by the menu, we should have gone to restaurant choice #2. lol. I embarrassed myself because I came in with a lot of confidence, and the waitress repeated herself 3 times to me, trying to explain what a food is. With the pressure, I got a kabob, because that's what I know. e.e"
Luckily my husband understood my frustration and bought a couple of sides for me to try. XD
My daughter liked the gyro. My son liked.. just the bread. lol
Thank you for giving me bone broth ideas. I've never thought about it before and you really piled on easy to understand brain-food on the subject. <3

@lordvoldemort1993: Yeah- the path of drugs. I got a few friends struggling still. I grew up on the west side of WA, a coastal town near a reservation. It's beautiful. I just don't wanna go back. I moved all over the midwest before recently settling in Oregon. c:
@Wildfire: I might just do bone broth sometime. Thank you for the recipe[?], advice[?]-. ... Knowledge. Thank you for the new knowledge about bone broth.
I have an instant pot. c:
Would a person be able to strain out the bones, food chunks? and just use the liquid? I'm curious now.
My dad had taken up a more Mediterranean diet but didn't stick to it as well as he'd like.
It'll definitely change our kitchen dynamic. We use a lot of rice and beef in our meals.

Hey Welcome to Voltra!
I grew up in Washington and quite a few of my friends found that path in life.
congrats on making the hard decision on getting clean. I wish you luck on your journey and hope to see you around. <3
@Another Movie Addict: I feel your pain, I was always given the mean, Karen, customers. e.e"
@Wildfire: I'll try to get some photos to share. <3
I personally might find the chicken carcass weird, but logic would kick in and I'd realize it was for broth. I don't do that or know how. =O
My fridge is always organized with basic foods, Veggies, cheese, condiments, etc. I don't have any weird, out of the ordinary, food habits.
My husband mentioned he wants to try a Mediterranean diet.. and I don't even know where to start with that.
I hope he doesn't come in today, and if he does, it is to apologize.
I've had one crazy person come back the next day to apologize, but that's in my 10 years of retail. XD
@Wildfire: I'll have to share some pictures of the yard with you. Maybe I'll attempt some 'before and after' pictures of some areas.
The dog I ran, somehow got out of the house yesterday evening and took an adventure anyway. :| So by the time I noticed she wasn't inside, I looked out the window and saw she was heading home with a big dog in tow. She must've been out anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. e.e"

Weirdest thing in my fridge? hmmmm...
In my freezer, there are animal guts that my husband uses to hunt coyotes. =o
I think my fridge just has basic food that everyone has.
@Another Movie Addict: oh my gawd. >=C It's so horrible when people take their anger out on employees. DX

@cashew: I'd love to buy your Seamstress item. I'm just not sure how many volts to offer. =O
@Wildfire: My yard is a full acre of a once very beautiful garden. it's been untamed for at least 2 years. =o
The previous owners really loved flowers. So every time I start somewhere small, I find a massive collection of flower bulbs. Or roots entangled into each other. e.e' I never saw the yard in its' full glory, which bums me out a little.
I'm going to slowly turn the yard into a big grass lawn and use a few of the raised beds for food plants. I've got a small greenhouse going with seeds.
I just biked my youngest husky against the wind, up a hill. and now I feel more exhausted than my dog.
We just bought a small lake boat, but we're not ready to take it out for a bit. needs a little bit of work before it hits the water.
@Wildfire: I forgot how many beaches Florida has. I decided if I need another vacation, I'll try for Florida instead of Hawaii lol! The flight time wouldn't be that different. XD
I am totally ready for some beach time. Sunday is supposed to be really hot. I'm debating if that's a lake/beach day or a garden day. I got a feeling our local lakes are going to be pretty crowded. It's a 4-hour drive to the coast.
I'm good today. My health feels like it's finally leveling out. My brain feels less foggy. I do need to drink more water. >.>
@Wildfire: My husband's coworker went home last week and tested positive for covid. They work closely together. Plus- they went to college together for this job. Naturally, they're friends. The guy drives me nuts. I do hope he recovers well though. e.e" He spread it to 2 other employees so far in the workplace. My husband is sliding by not being sent home.. yet.
Our family emergency is making my husband and I antsy, weirdly enough, it's good all this craziness is happening at work. Keeps him distracted. :T
~
OH wow! That beach looks emptyyyy and so nice! . Those pictures make me think of those romance movies where One person finally realizes their in love so they run off to the beach to think about their emotions. XD
