The venom in her tone caught Hal off guard, for sure.

But he shrugged it off, and sighed.

"Right." he said.

"Hold on." he told her.

He then snapped his fingers, and the two of them disappeared from where they were, appearing right in his office.

"And we're here." he said.

"Let's get to work."

Hal nodded.

"By all means." he told her.

"...." he was then silent for a moment, as she saw a look of pure horror in his eyes...

...before it dissipated shortly.

"Ah." he mumbled.

"Right, I'll explain what you probably just saw later." he told her.

"For now, speak your wish loud and clear."

".....ah!" Hal responded.

"Yes. Yes, of course." he said.

He then cleared his throat and quickly stepped out of her bedroom, closing the door behind him.

It had then JUST occurred to him that she had been practically naked, and he forced the awkwardness that was starting to form inside him away.

'Focus!' he scolded himself mentally.

'This is NOT the time!'

"I know." Hal responded.

He then snapped his fingers, and even though the sudden change was drastic, and almost hurt her, she found herself back to the way she had been... before she'd been whisked away and replaced.

"How did you escape?" he asked her.

"Or... well... okay, maybe we should discuss this later." he suggested.

"I know we have problems." he told her.

"Can you help us with them?" he asked.

".........." Hal was silent, before nodding.

"Your wish is granted." he told her.

He then snapped his fingers, and almost instantly, she saw his demeanour and expression change.

He blinked a few times, before letting out a loud...something... in a language she didn't understand. She guessed it was an expletive, though.

"Erica!?" he exclaimed.

"....wait, what is happened!?" he asked her, before shaking his head.

"Nevermind that, you need help!" he then realised and vocalised.

".........very well." the person replied.

"Where are you?" they asked.

"Home... bedroom...." she spat out.

The phone then went silent, dead, before she saw Hal appear right in front of her.

"......" he was then silent for another moment.

"What do you wish?" he asked her.

There was silence once more for a second.

"Of course." she heard.

"How?" the person asked.

"Please be more specific." they went on.

"I cannot do anything unless you specify."

"....did not know you could do that..." Chris mumbled.

He then shook his head and handed the blade to her hair, watching as she accepted it.

With that, he turned around.

"Stab me in the back." he told her, taking his plastic gloves off and throwing them off to the side in a pile of other discarded trash that was there... mostly remnants and remains of methods used to torture Lilim in the past.

"Just... not the spine." he muttered.

"Need to make my way back to where she was..."

"....." Chris was silent, before his expression brightened.

"That's brilliant!" he exclaimed.

"I know JUST who to frame!" he then said further.

"I have... not long before this time stop runs out, so I need to move fast." he muttered, before rushing off. She didn't even have time to say anything to him.

And the equivalent of about 2 minutes later, he returned wearing plastic gloves, and holding a dagger in one of his hands.

"Is there any way you can hold and/or manipulate this?" he asked her.

"Any way at ALL?"

"......" Chris was silent for a moment.

"Look, I..." he said.

"Just... help me come up with an idea." he continued.

"Mistress will kill me if I'm LUCKY when she finds out about this!" he exclaimed.

"Please!" he pleaded.

"Help me think of a story!"

Chris didn't say anything.

Instead, Erica felt herself surrounded by mana... and then she found herself in her bedroom, on her bed.

"......." Chris was then silent, before starting to panic.

He rushed towards where Lilim was, and stood in front of her.

When he did, he made sure she was unaffected by the time stop.

"Help!" he exclaimed.

"I set her free!"

"There's no time." Chris said.

"....literally." he muttered.

"Look, just.... you shouldn't be here." he told her.

"You need to get out, and you need to get out NOW." he said further.

"And you'd better be ready." he went on, cracking his knuckles.

"Pick a room in your house."

As he witnessed this, something occurred to him.

The civil discourse (as much as it was) he had been having with Lilim... had he enjoyed it?

But why?

Love was using someone. That's what his sisters had told him. It's what they had done for/to him.

Why was he feeling like that wasn't right?

All these conflicting feelings started to get the better of him, before he let out a scream of frustration... and released a massive amount of time control mana, freezing time throughout the entire complex.

"...." he was silent afterwards, before he just stopped thinking about it. He threw his thoughts to the wind, let his emotions guide him, and started to quickly free Erica.

Chris just stormed off, growling to himself as he stomped down the hall. On the way to get what he wanted, he passed an open door, turning to what was inside, and freezing when he saw what he did.

Erica.

"......." he was silent, slowly making his way in and towards her.

He looked her over, seeing the shape she was in... and he felt something strange inside him.

Pity? Sadness?

He then bit his lip, and gently reached out towards her, stopping before he actually touched her, though.
