Aly watched her go, and smiled.

"Heh." she chuckled.

She then looked at Ryker, nodded, and made her way to Eke.

She wanted to see if he was doing all right and sleeping well.

...perhaps cuddle up with him.

Zeke was still a bit stunned for a moment, before shaking his head.

"Well, it made me forget about what I just went through for a brief moment." he said.

"It was harsh going down. Harsh in the mouth." he went on.

"The aftertaste is... well, it's still there." he continued.

"Wouldn't take many of those to get one off their feet." he then said further.

"Kiah sure knows what she's doing."

Zeke accepted the drink, and downed it.

Which... he probably shouldn't have done.

Immediately, both her and Cain saw his senses take a punch to the... whatever they had.

He almost fell over from it, but managed to swallow it.

"....GAH!" he exclaimed.

"Holy hell, you were NOT kidding!"

Cain accepted the drink and took a sip.

"Mmm." he mumbled.

"This is good." he said.

"And yeah... that... wouldn't be good." he then admitted.

About 5 minutes later, there was a knock on the back door, and when Angela opened it, she saw a heavily worn-down Zeke.

"...that was pretty much hell." he told her.

"I didn't know fae could do half of the things they did to me." he admitted further.

"Yes." Cain responded.

"That would be wonderful." he told her.

"You always have the best drinks." he chuckled.

"And he's apologising to the fae outside?" he then asked.

"Eeesh... good luck to him." he mumbled.

"Those fae hold grudges."

"Yo!" she heard from the livingroom. After a moment, Cain stepped out from it. Seemed he had been watching some television.

"Welcome home." he greeted her.

"Want me to split?" he asked.

"Also, there's some commotion going on outside?" he then asked.

"What's going on?"

Zeke was about to argue, saying he WASN'T an archangel. He was a Nephilim.

But he knew that argument would go nowhere. And it would only spark the ire of the one that had addressed him. And if there was one thing he knew, you did NOT get the matriarch angry.

Or your life would be misery. If you thought it was misery before, you would learn what it really was.

So, he summoned up his strength, get his nerves and muscles to somehow start listening to him... and he shakily rose to his feet, trying to stand as tall as he could.

He almost fell over, but firmly planted his feet... and he somehow looked like he stood there with the presence of his father, even if for a split-second.

After that last blast, Zeke fell to his hands and knees.

"I'm sorry!" he exclaimed, tears now falling from his eyes again.

"I'm sorry!" he repeated, clutching at his hair.

"I know I was awful! I know I did terrible things!" he cried.

"Please! I'm not saying I deserve forgiveness! Or anything like that!" he went on.

"Just... please! I'm sorry!" he cried out further, shaking visibly.

"....." Zeke was quiet, and visibly nervous.

He then gulped, and stepped forward.

A few seconds after he did... he was swarmed. Absolutely swarmed.

The fae were surrounding him, dropping dust and mana all over him. As this happened, he felt himself paralysed, he felt his senses confused, his nerves were misfiring, and he almost collapsed to the ground, instead managing to just fall to one knee.

"That's for swatting us!" one yelled.

"That's for hurting Angela!" another shouted.

"That's for hurting that Cain boy!" a third announced.

Zeke nodded.

"I... I'll try." he said.

"All I can do is try..." he muttered.

"I haven't lost it yet, though." he went on.

"...I am surrounded by so many gracious people." he then commented.

"For what it's worth, I didn't get the security info to Vanessa, herself..." he then informed her.

"....I am lucky." Zeke said.

"SO lucky." he mumbled.

"The fact that I'm getting a second chance at all is proof of that." he went on.

"......." he was then silent once more, before rising to his feet.

"I should go." he told her.

"You have things to do, still."

Zeke winced slightly.

"Y... yeah." he said.

"...Angela..." he then mumbled.

"I'm sorry." he apologised.

"If... if the fae... well... look, I don't know how far they'll go." he admitted.

"But... I'm sorry." he apologised.

"And even though it doesn't seem like it recently, I DO love you..."

Zeke's face paled.

"I..." he stammered.

"R-right." he said.

He knew those fae.

Fae did NOT forgive.

Fae did NOT forget.

But whatever they would do to him, he would take.

He deserved it.

He would do his best to endure it.

"......." again, Zeke was silent.

He wasn't surprised.

"...it figures." he said.

"It's only right." he reasoned.

"I don't know what you'll expect of me, but... all I can do is try." he sighed.

"So... okay then. A test. Do I need anything for it?"
