"I... uh... well..." Jaden mumbled.

"I... I need... advice." he told her.

"Remember... remember Desiree, from that night at the club?" he asked.

"Yeah..." Sydney replied, guessing where this was going.

"Um... can you... teach me about how to... properly interact with someone you like?" Jaden asked, his face turning slightly red.

"I... I really like her." he admitted.

Jaden paused.

"Robolita." he said.

"It's been... so long since I've had that..." he admitted.

"Sure!" he told her.

He then paused a moment, and looked off to the side.

"Uh... Mom...?" he then said.

"Can... can we talk about something?" he asked her.

"Yeah..." Jaden said.

"I... well, to be fair, that fear was justifiable." he mumbled.

"I'm sorry for that." he apologised.

"...heh." he then chuckled.

"Also, been a while since I've been called that." he admitted.

"I've just gone by 'Jaden' for the longest time..."

Jaden sighed once more.

"I thought about everything you said." he told her.

"Everything you told me. About my past... OUR past... where we came from and stuff..." he went on.

"I..." he then stammered, biting his lip a little.

"I've realised I've been clinging to a vision of you that... well... was probably never real." he admitted.

"I think... maybe... it's time we finished what started when you stopped me from continuing on as Jack the Ripper..." he continued.

"Maybe we... can be a family again, as much as we can."

Jaden just sighed again.

"I got your distress call." he said.

"Guess I was one of the only ones in range or something." he muttered.

"Or I dunno. Point is, I got it." he continued.

"...I ignored it at first. I tried to ignore it. Then I realised something." he went on.

"The time we spent together... before I knew who you were... it didn't change. You are who you were back before I learned your name. Why... why did it need to change? Why was I making it change?" he asked her.

"I couldn't answer that." he admitted.

"And I knew... in the back of my mind... if I let something happen, when I could have stopped it, I would never forgive myself." he continued.

"....." Jaden was silent for a moment.

"I..." he stammered.

"I mean... well..." he said, before sighing.

"I don't know." he admitted.

"I don't know WHAT I want to do in regards to that." he told her.

"...can I sit?" he asked.

Jaden looked at the mug, and then at Sydney.

"Yeah." he said.

"It's good." he told her.

"REAL good." he went on.

"It's nice and smooth, not too bitter, nice hints of hazel to it..." he continued.

"Good way to start the morning, I'd think." he finished.

"And a fresh unopened bag? You sure?" he asked.

Rene just chuckled.

"I'll talk with her." he said.

"Anyway, I'll get to making the evidence disappear." he told her.

"Back in a bit." he finished.

'And yeah, probably." he then added, before leaving the house.

Rene just sighed.

"Sounds like Demi." he said.

"Anyway, you'll be back at 100% in about an hour." he told her.

"Now... what happened to put you in this state?" he asked.

Sydney gave him the cliff's notes version, and he shook his head.

"Right." he said.

"Want me to dispose of the bodies?" he asked her.

"....." Jaden was silent as well.

"I... yeah, you know what?" he said.

"I will." he told her, before leaving the room.

As he did, Rene sighed.

"Under ANY other set of circumstances, I would love to hear you say that, Sydney." he told her.

"Anyway, that's... your boy, right?" he then asked.

A green-haired man came into the room, and nodded.

"You got it." he said.

"I'll get to work immediately." he told her.

"I, uh..." Jaden stammered.

"Guess I should be... going..." he mumbled.

"Just... yeah..." he went on, sounding awkward.

Jaden then grabbed his cell phone, and dialled a number.

"...Rene, it's Jaden." he said.

"Got someone that needs some medical attention, stat." he told him, before giving the address.

And then looking VERY puzzled.

"Uh..." he stammered, taking the phone away.

"Okaaaay, all he said was 'I'll be there within a minute', and hung up."

"......" he was silent, before sighing.

"Why do I not believe that." he muttered.

"Do you want medical attention, at least." he said.

"I know a doctor that does emergency house calls." he told her, lifting her up in his arms as best he could.

"He's a whiz at dealing with stuff like this, too."

The man collapsed to the ground, and her new ally approached her, his blonde hair coming to light when he left the shadows.

"...I'm not going to ask if you're all right." he said.

"It looks like you're not." he went on.

"You need medical help?" he asked.

"Because I can get you to OLA in a snap.' he told her further.
