"Huh." Jaden replied.

"Well, all right then." he said.

"That... that does make sense." he admitted.

"I've travelled as well, so there's a good chance, probably." he said further.

"Um... is your hand going to be ok?" he then asked.

"You seem to be bleeding an awful lot."

"........." Jaden was silent again, before sighing deeply.

"Ah... hm." he mumbled.

"Fair... fair enough, I suppose." he said.

"Um... have we met before?" he then asked. "I mean prior to that bar scene." he clarified.

"Because... you seem extremely familiar to me." he went on.

Jaden was stunned as he saw the portal.

"A... another portal user?" he asked.

"But... but I... didn't... I didn't think that..." he muttered, pausing for a moment.

"I've only... ever known one other person that uses it." he said further.

"........." he was then silent for a moment, as it hit him.

"I... I've only known one other person." he repeated, looking at her again, and then to the blood-soaked bandages in the trash.

Jaden suddenly froze in place when Vyn said what she did about the portals.

"................." he was silent for a few seconds, before clearing his throat.

"Something tells me that denying it is pointless right now." he muttered.

"All right, how?" he asked.

"How did you pick up on that?" he asked her.

"You mentioned the subtle rims around the blades, but how did you pick up on them?"

"Well... okay then..." Jaden responded.

"And... uh... well, yeah... yeah, there are things I want to talk about." he told her.

"Let's start with a simple one." he said.

"The show. What'd you think of it?" he asked her.

"Worth coming out for?"

"..........." again, Jaden was silent.

"I... I see." he said.

He then watched as Vyn dropped the old soaked bandages into the nearby trash, and bit his lip.

"Uh..." he stammered.

"Uh, you're... you're, uh... that's a lot of blood." he commented.

"Are... you... like... all right? Do you need... to go to a hospital, or something?" he then asked.

Jaden's eyes widened as Vyn brought her hand up, and he saw the red soaking through it.

"Uhh." he muttered.

"Here." he said, pushing the first aid kit forth and opening it.

"There's stuff in here that should help." he told her.

"Also, god damn it." he cursed.

"How the hell'd she get something like THAT past security?" he wondered.

Jaden was silent for a moment, managing to choke back his hesitation and nervousness, before nodding.

"Yep." he said.

"Wait, what?" he then asked.

"Why?" he asked her.

"I mean, the show was good and all, but it's not like you would have missed a once-in-a-lifetime thing." he reasoned.

"Somethin' else happen?"

Jaden jumped a bit when he heard the knocking, and looked over towards the door.

'That... that smell...' he thought.

'That smell again...!' he mentally exclaimed.

'What...? Why...? What's...!?' he started to panic, before shaking his head swiftly.

"Calm down... calm down..." he mumbled to himself, taking a few deep breaths.

"Come in!" he called to Vyn, grabbing a first aid kit... as he felt it might be needed.

"....hm." Ryker muttered.

"Well, I would imagine that he lived a good, long life." he said.

He then sighed, and continued to carve away at the fish.

"Truth be told, I heard legends of 5 dragons called the DragonLords." he told him.

"Supposedly they stand above all other dragons." he said further.

"....always wondered what would happen if I ever came up one."

"............." Ryker was silent as he saw Eke act out of the norm, but decided not to question it.

He simply went back to watching the fish and seasoning it... and after a short amount of time, it was done.

"Yo." he said to Eke.

"Fish is done." he said.

"Scarf it down, while I make myself some." he told him.

"Hopefully it'll be enough to satisfy you."

"........" Ryker was silent for a moment, and then sighed.

"I... see." he said.

"Well, I don't give a damn about influence." he then muttered.

"Your mother and whatever rights she thinks she has have no sway on me." he told him.

"Nobody tells me what to do but ME." he insisted.

"...that being said, the right person can get me to change my mind of my own volition." he then said further, smirking little and looking back at Eke.

After only about 30 seconds of walking, she saw a door with a star on it, and it was slightly cracked open. She'd been instructed that it was Jaden's backstage dressing room.

Meanwhile, inside, Jaden was sitting at a large desk, staring at his reflection in the large mirror in front of him.

"What was that?" he wondered.

"That smell... that smell was overwhelming..." he went on.

"But I fed before I went on stage... that shouldn't have happened..." he then told himself, shaking his head and drinking what looked to be a glass of red juice.

The bouncer looked at the pass, and nodded.

"In ya go." he said, slightly stepping out of the way so she could squeeze through.

"Hurry." he told her.

"Others may try to-" he started to warn her, before a fan tried to rush through... but was immediately caught, lifted up, and tossed back.

"...do that." he finished.
