Ryker just laughed as Eke asked his question, and returned the hug.

"I was surrounded by people older than me, wiser than me, and had more experiences than me, for most of my life." he told him.

"I guess, after so long, things finally stuck in my mind." he went on.

"And I just say what comes to mind. Sometimes it's the right thing, sometimes I make things worse." he then shrugged.

"As for the exit... hmmmm..." he mumbled, listening intently for a moment.

"The water seems to get louder in that direction." he said, pointing off to the east. "If we go there, we might find the exit."

Uriel just sighed lightly.

"....yeah." he muttered.

"I don't think there's anything I can say or do that'll change his mind." he said.

He then felt the trinket that the woman had given him, and nodded lightly.

"This will definitely help Aimee in the future." he said further.

"Thank you, once again." he continued.

"....for all that you do for her."

Ryker squatted down behind Eke, and placed an arm on his shoulder.

"Hey." he said.

"Shit happens." he told him.

"We all have episodes where we do or say something we regret, and wonder what happened." he said further.

"It could have been for a variety of reasons." he went on. "Even something like small things piling on each other without you noticing, and this was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back." he explained.

"I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but that doesn't always mean something's WRONG." he finished.

Gabriel flinched when Melissa's name was mentioned, and his bit his lip.

"Ngh." he grunted.

"....Gabe..." Uriel said quietly, which caused Gabriel to just turn away from them.

"Shut up." he said to Yuri.

"I'll go back and await my punishment for this." he said further, mostly talking to the woman that was there.

Then, before anyone could say anything more, he disappeared.

".....oh boy..." Uriel muttered.

"I think I finally see why he's SO against this." he said to the woman.

"Sorry, no rocks around here." Ryker responded.

"You can curl up next to me if you need to rest." he offered.

"But... what did you mean?" he then asked.

"Nothing about that was you? In what sense?" he asked him.

"Is this a case of your emotions getting the better of you, and you just had an outburst, or do you mean it was literally someone else back there?" he asked further.

"Like MY kinda situation." he then clarified, putting a hand over his chest.

"......." Ryker was silent, before following Eke as he walked.

"Yo." he said.

"What's up?" he asked.

"You're really quiet." he said further, pausing for a moment.

"...is it what happened in the hospital room?" he asked him.

Gabriel looked down at the floor, his hands balled into fists, shaking and quivering some.

"I'm trying to stop him from making a damn mistake." he growled.

"....you're talking about Aimee." Uriel said.

"Yes, the damn mortal that's somehow managed to wrap you around her finger." Gabe confirmed.

"You're an archangel, ACT like it!" he demanded, a small drop of some liquid hitting the floor by his feet.

"You are a warrior! You... WE... are the embodiment of God's wrath..." he went on, his voice a little quieter.

"We have no business deluding ourselves into thinking we've found happiness down there."

"Gabriel said we had a score to settle, and he attacked me." Uriel responded.

"I was beating sense into you." Gabriel snapped at him.

"Yu-huh." Uriel muttered.

"Damn you." Gabriel hissed at his brother.

"You're an idiot. A foolhardy idiot." he said to him further.

As soon as she made her demand, all sounds stopped.

When she looked at where the sounds had been coming from, she saw Uriel and Gabriel in a position that had indicated that they had been fighting.

Uriel was on his back, and Gabriel was hunched over him. Uriel's hands were around Gabriel's throat, but it looked like Gabe had been ready to smash his fist into Yuri's face.

They both looked towards her, and Gabriel gulped slightly.

"...nothing?" he answered.

Ryker looked at the river, and nodded.

"Yes." he replied.

"Question is... which way...?" he muttered, looking back and forth.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Is this flowing TO the outside, FROM the outside, or BOTH?" he wondered aloud.

"Suppose we could just follow the flow and see what happens."

Uriel was silent for a moment, and smiled.

"Thank you." he said to her.

"That's... that's all I needed." he said further.

He then excused himself, and left the room, shutting the door behind him.

However, as soon as he did, she heard Gabriel's voice in the distance.

"Hey! Uriel! We've got something to settle, and we're settling it NOW!" he declared, before she instantly heard the sounds of an actual fight happening.

Uriel looked at her when she said that.

"Ah, yes, you're good friends with him." he recalled.

"Hence why you told him about Aimee coming into her mana, and told him he should be there when she wakes up." he said further.

"That was nice of you." he told her.

"It was also nice of you to help Aimee with her transition."

".....thank you." Uriel responded.

"But... he's not the only one I'm worried about." he told her.

"Vincent Remmington." he said.

"I know he doesn't like archangels, based on previous meetings and dealings with us." he told her.

"What if my involvement with Aimee drives a rift between them?" he asked.

"I don't want to be responsible for that, or at least have been a factor." he said further.

"Rushing water?" Ryker asked.

"That's a good sign." he said, as he started to pick up the pace.

"Come on, then." he told Eke.

"Let's get moving." he said further.

"If we're lucky, we'll be able to rest and eat." he told him.
