Jaden froze when she said that.

"Vincent Remmington?" he asked.

"The head of the Council's brother?" he asked further.

"...guess I shouldn't be surprised." he said.

"You really DO have powerful connections. Hell, you yourself ARE a powerful connection." he told her.

"Still... glad I could help." he went on. "Even if it was unintentional..." he then added quietly.

Jaden got up and followed her to the kitchen.

"I see." he replied.

"I guess that makes sense." he said.

"Guess we both don't use our 'real' names." he mumbled.

"By the way, I'm willing to bet you didn't mean to call me." he then suddenly said. "I'm skilled and all, but odds are you have contacts better suited for that kind of situation." he reasoned.

"Who did you mean to call, some hunter friend of yours?" he asked her.

Ryker collapsed to his hands and knees for a moment, before crawling over towards Eke, still surrounded by the aura.

"H-hey." he said.

"Are... are you all right?" he asked.

"That was a major thing you just did right there." he told him. "But it looks like it took a lot outta ya." he went on.

"You need anything?" he asked further.

"And how can I get it, if so?"

"........................" Jaden was silent for a good long moment as he heard that name.

"I..." he stammered.

"After all this time." he said.

"Hiding my identity... going by different names... choosing another one yet again..." he muttered, trailing off some.

"I could never bring myself to use THAT one... but it's not like I ever forgot it." he told Vyn.

"And sure, I could eat." he said, pausing again.

"....did you change YOUR name, though?" he then asked.

"Pretty sure Vyn isn't your actual name."

Jaden carefully caught the marble, and nodded.

"Okay." he replied.

"I'll do that." he said.

He then paused for a moment, before he opened up a portal beside himself, and poked his top half through. After about 2-3 minutes or shuffling and noise, he withdrew himself from it, holding a piece of paper.

"Here." he said, handing it to her.

"My full address." he told her.

"Oh, and you can mana there now. I did that while I was... er... half-home." he then added.

Just as the other two had taken their draconic forms, Ryker's own darkness started to creep around him, like an aura that oozed itself over his body, clinging to his skin, but radiating sheer power and malice.

However, the sheer shock of seeing Eke transform was enough for him to somewhat keep his wits about him, as he clutched at his chest once more, and looked between the two dragons.

"...mm." he muttered.

"This... this is something I.. never thought I'd see..."

Jaden nodded.

"All right." he replied.

"Um... hm." he mumbled.

"I can give you my actual address." he told her.

"But if you want mana access, then I'll need a sample of your mana." he said.

"I essentially need to feed it into the lock for my unit, so you can bypass it." he explained.

"Or... well, you can do it when you visit me." he continued, pausing again.

"Actually... we can head there right soon, if you want." he then added.

"....hm." Jaden muttered.

"I... I see." he said.

"Well... well, thanks, then." he said quietly.

He was then silent again, before letting out a long drawn-out sigh.

"Mom..." he said.

"I... listen." he muttered.

"Do you know where I live?" he asked.

"And if not... want to?"

Ryker's eyes widened when this happened... and he almost seemed to fall for the woman. Except seeing Eke like that managed to snap him out of any beauty-induced trance he might have fallen into.

Also, the pulsing of the shard in his chest was helping. Or NOT helping, depending on how one looked at it.

He grasped at his chest again, before shaking his head and getting in between Eke and the woman.

"I don't know what you're doing to him." he said.

"Don't even know if you can understand me." he continued.

"But you'll be taking him over my dead body."

Jaden just sighed.

"I know." he said.

"Wait... what?" he suddenly asked.

"Ok, you told me about that recent time, but... what?" he asked.

"A few times?" he asked further.

"I didn't know it happened THAT often..."

"......." Jaden was silent again, before looking down.

"Sorry." he said.

"I'm sorry you felt the need to watch me and keep tabs on me." he told her. "Which... well... given my past actions, nobody would blame you for doing." he went on.

"So... you've been watching me since then." he continued.

"...how've I been doing...?" he then asked hesitantly.

Ryker stopped when Eke stopped, and narrowed his eyes when he looked to be in pain.

He held him close and gritted his teeth, looking upwards and scanning the sky.

"......." he was silent, not even sure why he was doing do.

Was this the doing of a dragon?

'Where are you?' he asked mentally.

'This HAS to be the work of a dragon...'

"...mm." Jaden mumbled.

"So, when we met at the bar..." he went on, trailing off some.

"Was that planned?" he asked.

"To ANY degree?" he asked further.

"Or was that literally just some sort of amazing coincidence?"

"Candentus Lux!?" Jaden exclaimed.

"That's... that's the premier guild in the system." he said.

"And you work for Argento?" he asked further.

"Holy hell, that's a feather in your cap." he went on, leaning back a little in his chair.

"Wow... my mother is really something else..." he said quietly to the air.
