Ryker felt his face become a little warmer when Eke made his first comment. Which made sense... he was blushing slightly.

"Ah... heh." he chuckled lightly.

"Fair enough." he said.

"Just so long as you can get comfortable and sleep." he told him.

"That's all that matters here."

"Mm." Uriel mumbled.

"Indeed." he said.

"And yeah, a few things, I suppose." he went on, looking around the room.

"You're pretty durable." he complimented her.

"Seriously, you took a bit of a beating from that gang, and were then hit by that electricity." he went on.

"It's impressive you didn't pass out."

When she got back, she saw that Uriel had already finished what she'd given him.

"Welcome back." he said.

"And do not worry about it." he told her.

"Family is important, and I know it's hard for you to keep worrying about your brother like you do." he said further, before pausing a moment.

"Ah well, shouldn't be a surprise I know that." he went on.

"An angel's an angel." he reasoned.

"He doing all right up there?" he asked her.

Steff accepted the glass and took a sip of the water.

"Ohhh man, so cold, so good." he said as he exhaled.

"Refreshing!" he exclaimed.

"Thank you." he said to her.

"So who is it?" he asked. "Who's here?" he asked her.

"They're super powerful."

Steff sat down on the bed, and looked at her.

"...all right." he said with a large yawn.

"Man, I still feel exhausted." he said.

"Wonder how long I've been asleep." he said further, looking at the clock by his bed.

"....that doesn't help me." he admitted as he shook his head.

"By the way, we got a visitor?" he then asked his sister. "I feel a really strong mana presence in the place, and it doesn't feel like Vincent's." he added.

Ryker was silent for a moment, before he carefully got onto the bed.

"All right." he said.

"Guess it helps this bed seems to be a bit larger than ones I've seen before." he mumbled.

"Oh well." he said further with a small sigh.

He then got as comfortable as he dared, and started to stare at the ceiling.

"Least it's warm in here, eh?" he asked him.

"Huh?" her brother muttered, looking over towards her.

"Oh... uh, yeah." he said.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I think." he said further.

"I mean, I'm tired, but I think I managed to get downstairs and get a bottle of water, before getting back up here." he told her, before looking around.

"...maybe..." he mumbled.

"Wait, where's the water I got?" he asked the air.

"Ohhh, did I just dream that? I swear I went down the stairs here." he said further.

Uriel sighed as Aimee spoke, before sitting down.

"Yeah." he replied.

"There is." he said, before they heard footsteps above them.

They were slow... sluggish... and they almost sounded like the one that was making them was almost dragging their feet.

"Hm?" he muttered.

"Sounds like a walking dead up there." he commented.

"Scratch that, shuffling dead." he corrected himself, as the steps started to go down the stairs.

Uriel looked at the pouch, before simply pointing at it. As soon as he did, it started to glow brightly from within for a few seconds, before dying down.

"Done." he said.

"I've put enough in there for 5 hours." he told her.

"Should be enough for the time I have, plus extra protection when I leave for a safe amount of time." he said further.

"If you're going to set them up, don't let me stop you now." he then finished.

'...just a few hours. Please.' he thought to himself.

Seeing as this question's been adequately answered, I'll be locking this thread.

Ryker looked back towards the door, and sighed.

"I'll get in trouble if I'm caught sharing a bed with you." he said.

"...but I suppose a little while might be all right, as long as no-one knows." he muttered.

"Dunno if I'll sleep, but it'll be more comfortable, at least." he then reasoned.

"As for the non-human thing, the doctors said it's not their place to judge based on looks or race or whatever, they are there to save lives." he told Eke.

"That's pretty much their words exactly." he added.

Uriel was silent, setting the tray down on a nearby table.

"....hm." he muttered.

"This is... new." he said.

He then looked out to the sky again, and sighed quietly.

'Suppose it couldn't hurt.' he thought.

'Could REALLY use a break from them.' he reasoned, shaking his head slightly.

'...even though I really can't stay for long.'

"....I suppose." Uriel amitted, turning towards her.

"You willing to do that?" he asked.

"Getting into the bad books of the archangels generally isn't a good thing." he warned.

"...but if you want to, let's do it quick." he said.

"Seriously, the clock might be down to seconds right now, and we don't even know it."

"Ah, yeah, I'm fine." the archangel replied.

"Yeah... just... hm." he mumbled.

"Like I said, I can't stand my 'brothers'." he told her.

"They... they have some very set views, and are strict in holding true to them. One of them being a dislike of humans." he informed her further.

"Granted, they're normally too caught up in their own business to pay much attention, but Gabe tends to be one to antagonise me." he continued.

"...if he decides to follow me here, it won't be pleasant."
