The staff just sighed, shaking their heads.

"Uh-huh." one said.

'Sweetie, you need to recover." they told Eke.

"You need to let the machines do their job." they said further.

"You're recovering really quickly, but you still need to take it easy."

"Aimee, you are always so damn literal." Vincent said.

"She is." Uriel responded.

Vincent just narrowed his eyes at the archangel, before getting up from where he was.

"No. There is nothing else." he said.

"I'm going outside for a walk." was all he said further, before he left the room, and they heard the front door open, and then close.

"...." both Vincent and Uriel were silent as Aimee revealed that.

"I see." Vincent replied, a dark tone to his voice.

"I know the company I keep isn't the best, but they are essentially my family, and I would appreciate not being judged by them." Uriel interjected.

"...admittedly, I do not know how to react here." Vincent responded.

"I have... very conflicting emotions within me right now." he said.

"I'm not surprised." Uriel sighed.

"....Uriel." Vincent said.

"An archangel." he said further, to which Yuri just sighed.

"I am." he confirmed.

"And I assume you've met one of us before." he commented.

"I have." Vincent responded. "The one called Raphael." he told him.

"Lovely..." Uriel said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"The one that sees humanity as insects."

"......" Uriel was silent, before sighing.

"Right then." he said.

"Well, here goes everything." he said further.

He then shook his head, and made his way into the den.

"What the hell?" Aimee then heard Vincent asked.

"Heaven, actually." Uriel responded.

"An angel?" Vincent asked Uriel.

"...technically." Uriel muttered.

Ryker was silent for a moment, before returning the hug.

However, their moment was not to last, as removing himself from what he'd been hooked up to had caused the medical staff to come storming into the room, in a panic.

They then stopped, however, seeing what it was.

"....did you remove that young man from his support?" one asked Ryker.

"Ah..." Ryker stuttered, unsure as to how to answer. But he then sighed. It was better to have HIM get in trouble, than Eke.

"Yeh." he muttered.

Sure enough, about a few seconds later, Uriel emerged from the rune, dressed as expected.

"Ngh." Steff muttered.

"Huh?" he asked.

"Oh. He's here." he mumbled, nodding back off to sleep.

"...." Vincent was just silent, stunned by the sheer mana presence in the house now.

"Yeah?" Uriel said as he stepped through.

"Hm." Uriel muttered.

"That's true." he said.

"If need be, I can take us where we need to go." he then told her.

-About 2 months later-

Steff was asleep in the den, Vincent was reading a book, and Aimee had just gotten back from the market with some fruit and vegetables.

"Aimee, can you come see me when you have a moment?" Vincent called to her.

Aimee promptly put the food away, before going to see him.

"Don't you think it's about time I met this Yuri?" Vincent asked her.

"Cool." Uriel responded.

"And yeah, I do." he said.

"April 17th." he told her.

"And as for the year. White lie." he went on.

"Seriously. The year changes so much." he muttered, sighing and shaking his head.

"However, we can figure out a year that's acceptable together, I suppose." he then reasoned.

"I'm hesitant about touching you because I don't want to potentially hurt you." Ryker told him.

"And no, that's not my saying you're weak, or frail or anything because of your health problems." he then quickly said.

"You're literally fresh out of surgery. With fresh stitches, no less, and you're hooked up to machines." he continued.

"I'm scared because what happens if my chest gem does... something?" he wondered aloud.

"What happens if the wound reopens, and you bleed to death?" he asked further.

"I don't want to hurt you, Eke." he said quietly, leaning forward and grasping at the sides of his head, looking down at the floor as he rested his elbows on his knees.

"...I don't want to hurt you..." he repeated, though his voice was far more quiet now.

"Huh?" Ryker muttered.

"Wait... wait, what?" he asked.

"I... have I been acting that way?" he asked him.

"I... assure you that's unintentional, and in no way indicative of how I feel..." he went on.

"You've done nothing wrong."

"Well then." Uriel responded.

"Guess that's that, then." he said.

"....." he was then silent for a moment, seemingly thinking about something.

"Guess we should do something to celebrate this." he told her.

"Any preferences or ideas?" he asked.

"Perhaps treat ourselves to some sweets or whatever you like?"

"Well then." Uriel responded.

"Guess that's that, then." he said.

Uriel looked at Aimee, and was silent for a moment.

He looked into her eyes, locking gazes, and sighed quietly.

"She seems to be more lenient on that sorta thing." he said.

"The real concern is my brothers." he told her.

"They might... well... reeeeeeally not like this." he warned.

"That being said, it's all about you." he then said further.

"Are YOU willing to risk it, for someone like ME."
