Ryker sighed again.

"One second." he said.

He promptly went to a nearby vending machine, used one of the coins in his pocket, and came back with a bottle of cold water for Eke, opening it as he did so.

"Here." he said, handing it to him.

"And yeah, I'll bet." he went on.

"But you are in NOOOO condition to be doing so."

Ryker just laughed at Eke's indignant response, before sighing.

"Right, that's it." he said.

"I can tell you've had your limit." he told him.

"You have two options now." he said further.

"I can either carry you back to your room right now, or you can sit in a wheelchair, and I can wheel you about so you can get some more changes of scenery."

"Hm." Uriel muttered.

"No. No, it's not fun." he said.

"And if you have a migraine headache brewing, then perhaps you need to try and get some sleep... or at least go and lay down in bed." he suggested.

"Seriously, something like that is best to not ignore." he reasoned.

"I... should consider heading back, anyway." he muttered.

"Make sure my brother's not meaning to come pay you another visit." he then grumbled.

"For starters, fair point on the age." Uriel admitted.

"Secondly, your body probably wouldn't be able to handle being on that plane." he told her. "And if just your spirit went there... well... drinking might be a tad difficult, as you wouldn't be able to experience it in full." he said.

"Death is weird. You get a somewhat physical form in the afterlife, but not if you're... 'just visiting', shall we say." he went on, before looking at her.

"You'd probably have severe joint pain, and feel light-headed all the time." he told her, pausing a moment.

"Speaking of heads... you all right?" he asked her.

Uriel just sighed, and nodded.

"Right." he said.

"See you." he said to her, before she was suddenly gone.

-About a year later-

Uriel sighed as he and Aimee sat on the roof of the manor that she lived in, looking at the night sky. He had been pointing to various stars and celestial bodies, pointing out what they were and what they did, and the place they held up in the heavens.

"And that one's a bar, believe it or not." he told her, gesturing to one in specific.

"A pretty good one, too." he said.

"They got drinks that are out of this world... no pun intended." he continued, smirking slightly.

"I'd say you should try, but you're underage." he said. "...that, and you couldn't actually go there without some serious physical repercussions." he went on. "...and bringing anything down here would ruin it, to be honest..." he then muttered further, before sighing.

"Yeah, probably not gonna happen."

Uriel seemed to look VERY angry for a split-second, before sighing.

"I knew it." he said.

"As soon as I started to get friendly with her, I knew this would happen." he muttered.

"And I figured it'd either be Gabe or Raph." he went on, shaking his head.

"Well, regardless, thank you for saving her." he said to the woman.

"...bet his face was priceless." he added with a smirk.

Gabriel froze when she said that.

"Don't you dare-" he started to say, before catching himself.

"Hmph." he muttered.

"I broke the rules and she paid the price." he said.

"It's as simple as that." he said further, before walking out of the room.

"Outta my way!" she heard him say to someone... before Uriel stepped back into the room.

"The hell's HIS problem?" he muttered, before seeing the woman.

"Oh!... um... didn't know you were here." he admitted, sounding a bit nervous.

Gabriel jumped slightly, before whirling around.

"Gah!" he exclaimed.

"Nothing!" he said.

"Nothing wrong, anyway." he told her.

"I was acting well within my rights to stop her from ruining Uriel." he said.

"We are an elite attack force, and fraternization with mortals is strictly forbidden." he said further.

"Why did you show up there, anyway?" he then asked the female.

Meanwhile, Gabriel had appeared in what looked to be a rather lavish manor, which seemed to be in the middle of a gorgeous meadow.

He was alone in the room he appeared in... or at least, he thought so.

"Oh geez." he muttered.

"Ohhhh geez, oh geez..." he said, as Uriel walked through.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked his 'brother'. "You look like a mortal that went through a near-death experience." he commented.

"I'm fine!" Gabriel snapped back.

"Chill." Uriel muttered, before shaking his head and leaving the room.

"That... that was close..." Gabriel then muttered to himself.

"They were a bit worried, yes." Ryker replied.

"However, I think they're just happy to see you up and about, and all right." he told him.

"After all, you're a cute young boy." he went on.

"Why WOULDN'T it be uplifting to see you all right?" he asked him.

"...relatively speaking." he added with a light chuckle.

"All right then." Ryker replied.

"Sounds like a plan." he said, as they stepped out of the room.

"Just take it easy." he told him.

All the while, he was mentally making plans.

He could see the birthday thing was getting to Eke, and he wanted to change that. And he felt he knew how. He'd get it done later that night, while Eke slept.

"Don't push yourself too much."

Gabriel didn't respond, and just continued to look terrified.

Instead, he just released his hold on her, and she fell to the floor.

Gabriel then took a few steps back, before turning and running. He ran out the door, and disappeared in a pillar of light, leaving no trace of him behind.

It was like he had never been there at all.

But whatever had happened back there, it had sure spooked the archangel into running away as quickly as he could.

"You'd do well to be." Gabriel responded.

The next thing Aimee knew, she was being lifted up by some unknown force, and was hovering in the air in front of the archangel.

And she couldn't break free of it.

"See, I'm not allowed to do LASTING or PERMANENT damage." he told her.

"So... if I heal you after all this... then it's all good." he reasoned with a shrug... and a dark smile.

A pair of glowing brass knuckles appeared in his hand, and he brought his arm back... but just as he started to swing his fist right towards her chest, and she closed her eyes to brace for impact... something happened.

Or, rather, DIDN'T happen.

She felt no impact, and when she opened her eyes, Gabriel's expression was that of sheer horror.

"He refuses to talk to us." he responded.

"He's trying to hide you from us." he went on.

"And it's clear that he's adamant about straying from the path of the archangel, and engaging in scandalous behaviour." he continued.

"So I'm here to make sure you know to stay away from him." he growled.

"In the name of the archangels, I, Gabriel, will make sure you learn this lesson."
